I'm with you on this girl, I love Jeffree and this new highlighters are gorgeous, the quality is insane, but it's super expensive. For this price, I prefer to buy an eyeshadow palette or a bunch of liquid lipsticks. Thank you for your honnest review 😉

$50 is unrealistic for one shade..the box does not justify that price one bit. I LOVE packaging but not if the price is going to get jacked up because of it. He will be justified making the price so expensive on products like this in the future cuz they sell out no matter what. Don't get me wrong though I love JSC, just not this product 💜

I was taken aback as to how expensive it was! Like with his palettes they dont feel overpriced to me because you get a lot of shades, large pan sizes, and also really unique packaging. This one rubbed me the wrong way personally!

Lethal Kitten he explained in his Snapchat video that the reason it’s expensive is because they ingredients they used are not cheap!! So therefore it is quite expensive because your not paying for packaging your paying for the ingredients..

That's too blinding for me in a highlight but I'd love if he made significantly less expensive mini's so I could use them as eyeshadows.

Lethal Kitten yep that’s the one! it’s beautiful for eyeshadow and when u want a glittery highlight look, but at the end of the day it’s just pressed fine glitter lol. the swatches i’ve seen of jeffree’s new highlighter look veryyyyyy similar.

I remember when I first swatched it I was shocked by it since it looked like it was just glitter and not your average highlight. I bet its beautiful as an eyeshadow/highlight topper though! I wonder if it'd be the more wearable version to these

I was turned off by it too but I saw somebody buff it out with a brush after applying with a finger and it looked way better. Still too expensive for me

That is gorgeous. I don’t know if I’d use it as a highlighter on my face, but have you tried it on the eyes? Also do you have any videos where you show how to use the Juno sponge? I just got one and haven’t tried it yet, but from the reviews it seems like it works completely different than a beauty blender. So I’ve been trying to watch videos to see how it’s used. 😂 i like your videos because you explain things better than other influencers do anymore. 💜

Thank you!! I tried it in the inner corner and it was pretty but it didn't give the brightness I was looking for. It still looked super cool though (but again it kinda just looked like loose glitter)! I think it'd look better as an eyeshadow topper personally. It dusted everywhere a bit too so you have to be a bit careful when applying it there! All my foundation reviews I've done recently here on YT Ive used the Juno sponge! It's my absolutely favorite. I use it over on my Instagram page a lot too when doing mini tutorials (My ig is lethal_kitten if you're interested!). To me it works fairly similar to a normal beauty sponge. I get mine wet underneath the sink and take a towel and get all the excess water out before I use it. I dont use mine for powder products like blush and stuff though. I only use it for foundation, cream contour, concealer, and loose powder. I find it hard to control the amount of product you apply/the area you are trying to apply it when using it with powder blushes/contours. However, with foundation it applies it like a dream. When I wash it I find it easiest to use Dawn Soap and lightly scrub the microfibers with my fingernails to get it all out (dont be too ruff or it'll crack!). It's kinda hard to clean unfortunately but that's the best method I've found so far!

Love your honest review. Totally agree with EVERYTHING you said. Am totally getting all three lol! I love very finely milled glitter. I have often referred to myself as a glitter snob. I like fine milled beautiful glitter. I will drop 150 on all three. Thank you for the review!!

Sooo expensive it costs just as much as his palettez!!! BUT jeffree did say that it isnt for everyone..that it is more for the collectors who want a blinding highlight. It is so super gorgeous and i want it so bad.

I know what you mean! Honestly I dont think ive ever hit pan on a highlighter because the pan sizes are always so large

I actually love the side you put on with the brush. I think it looks better. I've been dying to try this formula - I have many of Jeffree's Supreme Frost and liquid highlighters. This highlighter is expensive but I'm not really concerned with price when it's something I really love. $50 is not completely out of the question so I'm willing to spend.

How do these compare to the A.B.H. Dream palette?

To me these are literal loose glitter on the cheeks. They dont have a base pigment and look as if you took super fine glitter and tapped it on the skin. The ABH Dream Glow Kit is a Glitter Highlighter. So it has the normal highlight effect (with a pretty base pigment) but has the glittery look to it. I 10000000% prefer the Dream Glow Kit! Use mine all the time! Definitely not similar products by no means though! If anything I'd say the J* is a highlight topper!

That is riDICulously expensive for one highlighter. Doesn’t matter whose name is on it!

I’ve been eyeballing these every since they dropped but I could NEVER justify the price when you could literally buy one of his entire pallets for around the same price. Yeah most would say it’s apples to oranges but that’s just the way some of us think. But finally today he had them on sale for $12 each and in nice natural new colors and when I saw them my head exploded 🎊 🎉.. I immediately put two in my cart and even bought a backup Jawbreaker pallet because that too was only $12. Unbelievable sales this month.

I agree with you. I got sour ice and I actually love it but it is more glittery than I expected. It is smoother than glitter though. I'm not crazy about the packaging either.

The packaging!!! Just wonderful. If I can remove the pink interior, I'd use the box for something. Now, the price has people on both sides. I think it is worth $50 because of the following: It's HUGE, the packaging is gorgeous, the pigmentation is crazy. I think JS has made a fantastic product that fits the bill for a specific need. Would I use it? No (only because I don't use highlighters). Would I pay $50? In a heart beat. Are the dupes really "dupes"? As they say, "Close, but no cigar". Is the Space Age Highlighter the shade Moon Cruiser? Does your Space Age Highlighter packaging say how much product is in the compact, please? It looks like you get at lease three times the amount of product in the JS pan (but that is just a guess).This was a great review - I usually play reviews at 2x and pause to look at the swatches, but I didn't with this review.

My thoughts also, I’m a die hard Jeffree star fan but I just can’t justify spending 50$ on one highlighter no matter the shade or whatever! They are gorgeous though just not a product for me.

Yeah I thought the supreme frost highlighters where expensive hence why I only have one of those. But I do own the brain freeze palette and almost every eyeshadow palette but those make sense to purchase because you get more product for your money and more color choices.

I agree its expensive but its worth it I think, I'm all for super blinding highlighters so it's perfect for me, no issue with parting with that money for it whatsoever. 🤗♥️

I haven't tried her 3 pan palettes but I absolutely love her galactic glow one! Her formula is very underrated!

FYI tho:) 😃the makeup breakup people broke down the highlighter of Supreme Frosts and they were shown to contain 4 grams more than their advertised 8g🤓

I love being extra so I got my partner to get the highlight for me as a Christmas present. Jeffree said it would last basically forever so that sounds like a good deal to me! But, you are right, it isn't for the casual highlight users and especially when you don't have the money dont waste it. I think it comes down to the person, and I will be keeping every part of that packaging.

To add onto your frugal comment comparing a palette to highlight. Many of his eyeshadow palettes have at least one, sometimes even two, shades that people use as a highlight. So BAM, two for one in an eyeshadow palette

Ikr I have the conspiracy palette and ranch and two shades are beautiful highlighters. Also two great contour shades, and a blush shade it was such a cheap purchase in that respect

I agree with your thoughts on the price! $50 for a single highlighter is outrageous for the average person no matter what it looks like haha. I've been curious to try new colors of highlighters, but I'm not brave enough for the extreme frost or Jeffree's other glittery looking ones haha. I'm a little brave, but not that brave

They're definitely a different vibe! I would recommend checking out the Flower Beauty Galactic Glow palette or the ABH Moonchild Glow Kit! The Flower Beauty one is like a hint of color but gives a beautiful "glow from within" type of vibe. Whereas the ABH one has a bunch of colorful options and they look super cool as eyeshadows too!

$50 is hilarious.

That's a very good point! I guess for me its harder to justify it since you can get a skin frost for $29 and it has a huge pan size.

It's a luxury item , meant for extreme highlighters and people who really love the brand , it's more on the expensive side because of the ingredients used to make the highlight . Not because hes trying to make money. Yes minis of the highlight would be cool but it would most likely be even more expensive due to more ingredients being used per color

When it comes to a business selling products, it always comes down to making a profit :) usually mini's are more expensive per ounce but price wise they are cheaper for the consumer. They'd be using the same ingredients whether its a full size or mini.

I got the colourpop super shock highlighter in spellbound and it looks like a "dupe"

I got the set of three and I don't regret my decion. I used it as a highlight and I also topped it on top of my lipstick which made a pretty effect. 😍😍 I agree with the packaging though, kind of wasteful.

I don’t get the blinding highlighters. Maybe as an eyeshadow. I’d rather get the morphe x manny pallet that comes with 2 highlighters and it’s $20 and you can use a code and get it cheaper than that.

I just got an ofra pallette and I never knew! It was 2 highlighters and a blush. One for how blind do you want to be and one for let's not lose our eye sight yet. I was pleasantly surprised even though I'm a makeup minimalist I'll still rock them.

@@sharnahorn8642 The one in the pallette is really natural looking and not what I expected looking at it, in pan. It's great for every day. My makeup aesthetic is minimal if that helps.

I super want these highlighters But there is no way in hell that I would pay that much! Eventually they'll be in a Mystery Box so I'll just be patient. Def agree that the packaging is unnecessarily extra!

It looks more like a pressed glitter shadow I bet it would be beautiful on the eyes. But 50 dollars fuck that. I’ll stick with my 5 dollar highlighter , so extra for the package as well. But it is stunning.

Tbh I don’t see what’s wrong with the price, it’s dramatic and high quality and if you think about glow kits that are almost $50 but if you don’t want your everyday highlights and if you just want an insanely blinding highlight you spend your money on this instead. His prices are pretty normal and his quality and packaging is better than most brands who would charge double if they made this product. No hate I just think it’s a reasonable price.🤷🏻‍♀️

Moomoo Reeves you do realize most people don’t use more than one ore two shades out of glow kits which is what I’m referring to. I said this is a specialty item that comes in nice packaging and gives an insane result. The price is pretty normal but you obviously are only focusing on one thing. You don’t need much product from this for a blinding highlight where as with other highlights I dip in 3-4 times until I’m satisfied and sometimes even more. This product was not meant to be a normal highlight.

Theres great highlighters for way cheaper and I'm sticking to those lol. It's pretty and I love jeffree but I'm avoiding this product.

I do really like it but I do with that they weren’t as colored. If I was to pick it would deff be the blue toned if it was straight like silver I might be more for it. Personally not buying but it is beautiful

Yessss!!!!! I feel the same way. I wish he launched a few wearable shades and not just colorful ones. I'd probably feel a little bit better about the price if it was something I could see myself using everyday. I mean it'd still be expensive , but I feel I'd get more use out of it!

If you want a good blue highlighter ofra cosmetics space baby highlighter. If you use a setting spray with the ofra highlighters they do the same as these.

I think this was designed for a gift🎁 A gift to a significant other or maybe a gift to a best friend. I would not buy it for myself but I’ll buy it for someone as a gift

Anastasia amrezy high light is immaculate and its only $45. I've had it for 2 yrs and the pan is still full.

I just received the sugar drops collection from Devinah and i have a feeling a good one that it’d blow this $50 highlighter out of the water!

24 months lifetime is a just legal disclaimer he has to put on the packaging. I’ll probably keep it for 5+ years

Hey girly i just wanted to say that these highlighters are much more expensive because they are basically crushed pearls with no fillers. The usual highlighters are a little bit of pearl with fillers to help them be more affordable so thats why this one is very expensive😊

Omg I’m glad to see someone mentioning the thing about wasteful packaging! I love JS products but my issue with them is that they are soo wasteful! The huge eyeshadow pans look cool sure - but are they actually gonna get used up before they expire?! No! The skin frosts are even worse for that. So ultimately there’s way more plastic going into the world than necessary not to mention these products taking up way more space in our makeup bags when we wanna take them with us. It did make me feel slightly uncomfortable at the thought of that huge number of conspiracy palettes selling out when the packaging is so bulky. That’s a lot of plastic :/ it also annoys me when people complain about cardboard packaging and are like “oh it doesn’t feel expensive enough”. I mean get over yourself you know and think about the planet as a whole! 😠 anyway rant over but yes I’m just glad to see someone thinking literally outside the box on this 😂

I wish more companies were less wasteful with their packaging personally. Im not sure what the conspiracy palette is made out of but I think its cardboard (maybe it has foam in the inside though) but it doesn't feel like plastic to me. Im all for cardboard packaging though! I think most of my palettes actually are cardboard the more that I think about it :)

It would of been really cute as a topper with the eyeshadow you have in this video. I dont think I'll be purchasing. I would like it in an eyeshadow palette.

The formula is glittery for $50. Theres an expiration date of 24 months after opening. It may have been marketed to last a 'lifetime' but in 2 years the formula could change due to being expired.
