Skinner's 5v5 production over the last 2 season places him FIRST on the Oilers. He's just what the doctor ordered for Leon Draisaitl. I am soooo stoked for this next season. The Oilers are going to be a powerhouse.

This guy was predicted to get a 3.15m contract for fair value, he's scores massively but bleeds chances against, honestly not much of a discount (if you go by analytics). His ceiling is like 4.5m even if he does well

Skinner is a great offensive forward who can be pretty creative when it comes to scoring goals. I will say something Oilers fans should be concerned with is his defensive game. I’ve seen many goals in his tenure in Buffalo that the blame is on Skinner because of his not so great Defensive play. You want production tho he’s your man

Rod Brind'amour called Skinner "fundamentally un-coachable." He'll sometimes impress with some very nice goals. He'll disappear on defense. He will never work on a 3rd line. $3 million is about the right price to pay for him.

Skinner was doing great this past season before the injury. When he came back he was moved down from the 1st line. The Skinner, Thompson, and Tuch 1st line was an offensive power house. Sabres are so dysfunctional though, so its only fitting that Skinner goes to a much better team to get a chance to actually play a playoff game next season.

Terrible cap hit and quite frankly he was terrible in Buffalo outside a couple seasons. Defensive liability, won’t back check. He would have never fit in Lindy Ruff’s system either. Buffalo allegedly had trades in place for him but he was unwilling to waive his NMC. Off the ice dude is gem great personality, hopefully he brings Edmonton his social media stuff like Between Two Stalls, pure gold. He will do well in Edmonton playing with McJesus and Drai but this Sabre fan is glad is gone.

He probably could get 50 if he played on the first unit PP. Zach Hyman did it. He probably won't crack the power play, though. He isn't replacing Hyman as the net front guy for the aforementioned reason and I think Nuge might be better to provide support to McDrai than another lethal shooting threat that isn't quite the coach's favorite
