Jeff's Mini Camp Report | Detroit Lions Podcast
Спорт
Jeff Risdon gives you his take on the Lions' most recent minicamp. Are the Detroit Lions the most fun in the NFL? How good are these guys? Do they have too much swag?
Terrion Arnold is as advertised. The Lions have a spectacular track record with their first rounders, and it appears to be carrying over to the future. Is he perfect? No, but this is mini-camp. Calm the heck down. Humble? He's the humblest first round pick ever!
Make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. Its a great opportunity to get some great gear and make a difference in the city we all love. Head over to: SeatbeltGang.com now!

My favorite Detroit Lions reporter. Love his communication style, honesty, and transparency.
My favorite Lions reporter as well. You do a hell of a job Riz. Thank you for your service.
Thanks for saying the kind words about Mr. O’Hara. I was worried that not enough people were going to speak up on his departure as I don’t see that many articles talking about it and it’s kind of a quiet time for the lions anyway. You’re a class act Riz
Nice words about O'hara Riz! You too will be remembered just a great at your retirement. Your coverage is priceless.
Some of the best Lions coverage out there. You'll be glad to follow and subscribe.
As long as Jamo keeps working, that’s good news for me.

Agreed. He's seemed to matured alot and he has the best group of guys around him in the NFL ( staff and players) to help him grow. Alot of players careers end before they start by getting put in a bad situation.

Exactly he was young and showing progress and I believe he is determined to be a great one just keep working Jamo..

I heard Travis kelce say he had a drop problem as a rookie. It's not ability but it's a mental problem. If jamo keeps working, he will get it
Thank you Jeff! Appreciate the analysis and breakdown as always. Wishing you and family the best!
Great takes, and your laptop has a good mic, sounds as good as your regular posts. Jamo's work ethic might overcome those buts. Kid does work. Jerry Rice dropped a bunch his first few years. Thanks, and oh, cool art in the background.
Manu's issues comes from lack of high level tutelage at the college level. Hopefully he's a good study.

There are "reaches", and there are "r e a c h e s". Manu was Holmes' biggest ever reach imo.

Manu was drafted it seems purely based on potential and raw physical ability. I don’t think we should expect to see him on the field this year at all.
Of all the sources of media I can get my information on the Lions. Jeff you remain the Gold standard in my books. We Lions fans Thank You.
Love hearing your opinions Jeff! Keep it up!
I understand schedules and life and such but man it’s been some long weeks without that live podcast fix. Or even just recorded videos so seeing these randomly pop up gets me so hyped!! I know so much can happen and there’s always luck involved and we have such a long way to go since they are still just in pajamas right now but do you feel like this team could really pull off a Super Bowl win?? I want to believe we have the best shot we have ever had at getting it and it seems like the organization believes that. August can’t come soon enough
Thank you for the update!
Ur the man Riz
Jeff youre officially the 1st and only Lion to say Jeff Okudah 2.0 when discussing Arnold. I haven't anyone say that until today.
Congrats Riz. Ur an important part of the group and I love dream theater too
Great Job as usual Riz! Keep em coming 😊❤
I was thinking of how you remind of Mike O'hara ... and then you made those kind remarks about. Pretty cool!!
This was awesome, thank you.
Riz, you are the best covering the Lions. If I don't hear it from you, then I have my doubts. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for another excellent analysis!
What a great take! Thank you!
Pascal and Cominsky are our two excellent flex pieces
Great update. Thanks Jeff.
Great info once more. Thank you
The Issue with Jamo is working out the timing on snagging the ball and turning up the field to run... anticipation needs work. Needs to stop "thinking" and trust his intuition.

No its eye hand coordination. It’s not great. He is fast but isn’t a natural catcher of the ball

Great work Jeff & THANK YOU for doing this! Could you possibly talk about the specific infraction Detroit did. I heard they violated OTA rules & now have to forfeit an OTA soon… 🦁🏈🙂👍🏼

Sounds like Dan had the boys getting physical out there. I wanna know who on the team went crying to the nflpa about it.

This is the time to drop balls and make mistakes. It's only camp where you work to get better. We can't read too much into the errors this time of year. Later on is a different story. The players are determined to get better. Let's Go
RISDON 4 PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL GOUT ASSOCIATION! 🦶😧🇺🇸

Increase in uric acid is usually from too much carb (especially fructose); the liver in response to high levels of insulin is forced to convert fatty acids which leads to inflammation and high levels of uric acid. Got to cut down on fruit juice and other carbs causing increase in insulin production
Hope everything in your family works out. As you know and everyone who has been through a lot, things usually work out if you keep grinding
This is one of my favorite podcasts, always quality information! Thank you, Riz! At this point Hendon hooker is disappointing me. Whatever it was that he and Teddy Bridgewater worked on all of last year, it doesn’t seem to have worked very much.
Hi rizz!
I like that Dallas logo is their average Yelp rating....one star!!!! FTC
Manu is a project. He will take time to develop. He was a risky boom or bust type pick.
RizzY 👍
I don’t understand why a team has to cut a player for being arrested only for him to get picked up by another team?
@MrMLeon24

They moved too quickly. When they cut him; he was being charged with a felony, after he turned himself in, the charge was lessened to a misdemeanor.
It would do Jamo some good to work with Saint on his hands Saint could help him with his hands ......

You think he doesn’t ? Lmao
I think Mitchell escaped scrutiny against SF. He should've caught that ball and his momentum would have easily carried him in for 2. Anyway, live Brock but was hoping he'd be the clear #2 at this point.
Manu is only had a handful of practices lol
👍🏻🦁
Dan is an honest coach. Jamo just doesn’t have natural hands. He doesn’t have great eye handling coordination but he is fast. So he will have his moments but he may never be great

Hutch had a great season but he did better when they used him a little less at the end right?
Agude above Houston wow
Good morning did the Lions ever get final word from NFL if their clear of Sutton contract?
I think QB room is set
Frank the tank Jameo only one player everybody drops the ball 🏈 not everybody is saint Brown I don't think Jameo ever going to get his the respect he deserves in the city I hope I'm wrong I believe go lions 😎
If our money is ok shouldn't we extend Alim McNeil?
Let’s not forget that Hooker went into Alabama and beat them!
Sheesh. This Gio Manu news is kinda saddening. Like why use a 4th rounder on him?

For what he can be down the line duh Holmes told y’all that
Jamo is far from a finished product. This is first offseason without distraction. Let him develop. My goodness.
It's way to early to give up on Hooker
Calling manu a mid lvl d3 seems disrespectful
If they stay healthy the sky is the limit, but the NFC North is going to be a dogfight.

This is far too early but I am ready to say it, hooker is by far and away Holmes worst pick. If this guy can't beat out Nate sudfeld, he's a bust
