xxwhispersxx even if Irwin brought in creepy animals and scorpions and other animals, Irwin always treats them with care and is aware of personal space. When jimmy said he didn’t want to touch the scorpion or snapping turtle, Robert Irwin doesn’t force him to do so.

I Think Jimmy does a good job of acting scarred because it makes for good television. I very much doubt none of this is unplanned prior to filming. If Jimmy was really that terrified when that spider ended up on his hand the natural reaction would be to pull your hand away.

***** We could have a really long argument about this ... I mean, after all those are some of the most important questions in life. I don't share your opinion but I can see how one would think so. If you look at the world from a purely "rational" point of view where you only concentrate on the physical, then yes, your opinion might be the only honest one. Yet, I believe there's far more to life then what we can observe or mesure. Now you probably already think I'm a total nutcase, but think about it: You yourself are the best prove that life is more then just a bunch of cells following natural causalities. You know this because you experience your life. Because you see it through the eyes of this single one human being among billions. You think therefore you are. Yet there is no way to really describe or mesure what that YOU really is, and nobody else can see it. So why then do you believe the rest of the world isn't more than what you see? The attempt of pure rationality has always been destructive because there's no love in it. Poeple commiting mass murder and then pretending like they had no choice because "nature". So I try to live by standarts like love and compassion precisely because they are so irrational. Because they seem to make no sense yet at the same time give you more joy and meaning then all selfishness. But I think we all know that somehow, don't we. You can be the biggest social darwinist and still sacrifice your own life for the ones you love. And what is that? Stupidity? I don't think so.

***** Oh, I love a good debate as long as it doesen't get hostile. Objective morality? No, i suppose that does not exist. There is no system that is just to everyone. I believe right or wrong, god or bad are subjective values. However, that does not mean they don't exist, it just makes them more complex. For me "sin" is if you truly believe something is right and still do the opposite. But that sure is a simplification aswell. As for my childish world view :) It actually was the other way around for me: When I was younger I saw the world in a very one dimensional way, I persieved it by its material reality and not much more. One could just as easely argue that such a world view is the childish one. People believing the physical and denying there own soul. When actually your soul is the absolute only thing in the world you truly know exists. Everything you see, hear or feal is just signals you receive - So life could just as easily be a simulation or some sort of dream - Not saying it is, but it could be. So you can't know for sure anything is real exept yourself. If you love someone you can't know they really exist. But you do know your love for them exists. In that way the invisible and the mysterious is more reliable then the obvious. Now, I'm not a psychopath either ;) I don't actually think nothing is real. I just don't want to cling to the explainable. I love mystery. And I believe when it comes to the space beyond our perceptibility, saying there's nothing out there is just as big of a leap as saying there's a god. Maybe even more so, because a god could be a million different things whereas "nothing" is pretty damn specific. I love that we're having this existential discussion under a cute animal video xD

Let's face it. Jimmy did better in this interview then we ever would have. Of course Jimmy doesn't like spiders but it wasn't that he didn't like spider that freaked him out the way he did. That guy definitely pulled out those spider and definitely introduced them in a really terrifying way.

That's a beautiful cat! Jimmy's clearly nervous around it. The audience was clearly on Jimmy's side and weren't laughing much fortunately.

Wow. That was a tough love way to make him deal with his fear of spiders.

If someone put a tarantula on me, I'd be having the cold sweats, the labored breathing, salivating mouth preparing to vomit and light-headed, about to pass out. They scare me so much, especially wolf spiders (I know that is not a tarantula, but their eyes freak me out)

Spiders aren't actually all that bad when they're tarantulas. They feel not so different than having a small rat or gerbil on you. . honestly, having one of those on me freaks me out more than a spider because spiders aren't as smart thus easier to predict their actions.

+Ph0be honestly some people love animals and some people don't. Don't be mean just because someone else has a different preference from you. I mean if a dangerous cat that brings down animals 3 times the size of them or more with their mouth was a foot away from your face many people would be scared.

This just makes me think of Robert Irwin and how respectful he was with Jimmy's fear and not forcing him
