The genius of Pro Wrestling is how well it can subtly mesh reality with fiction. It's clear this is part of a storyline, but at the same time, it's also what AJ truly felt. And he was right with every word.

@brandonsettle8089

@jamesbyersmusic there are some guys who can't follow a script per se and make it sound genuine. For them realistically you can give them some bullet points but let them do the "in between" themselves. AJ I think is one of those cases.
This wasn’t scripted. AJ for sure meant every single word of this and i completely back him up.

I watched this on TV when it happened, I have always had a feeling that what AJ and Devon said to Hardy was HOW THEY REALLY FELT about the situation cause this has too much passion.
AJ literally like “nah fam”
AJ Styles really worked his ass off for that company - since 2002. In january 2010 the ex-WWE wrestlers J. Hardy, Anderson and RVD came to tna and they became World Heavyweight Champion after a relative short time. This was a blow in AJ´s face for sure. Besides the three - especially RVD and Hardy - were acting like they were TNA, the faces of this company and like they had built this great company from the bottom up. I really hope that a few things will change in TNA.
Poor Jeff. I like AJ but he should've at least let Jeff apologize. AJ also brought up the fact that Jeff did drugs which was kinda sad

That was the whole point. It was a punishment for Jeff who fucked up a whole PPV. It explained what was going on with the match against sting. AJ is probably just acting, even though everything he was saying is true and left the company a couple of years later so I doubt he was too attached.
This was needed. Some look at it as an angle but Jeff didn’t do this behind the scenes he did this on live tv. He needed to hear this to fully understand this is your last chance bro. This was all out of love from AJ believe it or not. I’m just thankful Jeff got hisself together 🙏🏾. It was hard when Eddie passed, but I would of been done if Jeff died especially if he was cut down by addiction.
I've believed for sometime the way forward in wrestling is to inject more realism and show a more genuine side to the wrestlers. Segments like this are really brilliant. I actually felt something while watching and hope TNA continue this direction.
