Eric is one of the most underrated drummers in rock.

Just saw STP live last night 9/8/19 in CT. Amazing night, Jeff was awesome and they all sounded great with high energy. Highly recommend going to see them. They can still bring it

Jeff is the man. All the haters need to remember that AC/DC replaced their singer after he died then made one the best selling albums of all time. Jeff writes great lyrics and melodies and performs fantastically. Move on and be glad we get more STP.

Jeff Gutt is an awesome rock singer. Keep rocking on Jeff. And the band too.

Usually when the Deleos are around they take the mic for 90% of it, and you notice that Eric shuts down when Scott comes up, because those 3 guys were probably PISSED at all of the bullshit that has happened during 20-ish out of the 30 years of their career? He looks actually super-excited to talk about the band now.

As a drummer myself not only is he unappreciated but if you go song for song they are probably one The best bands of the 90's. Alice in chains and Nirvana and the rest of the Seattle bands had great records. But like I said go song for song... You'll Be Surprised how much better these guys really are. Their song writing is amazing plus their sensibility of the use of jazz in a lot of songs and the cord structures... Child please!!!!

Gutt is the real deal!! If you watch S.T.P. live with him,can not help but think this guy is a PERFECT FIT. I mean,he does MORE than justice to their back catalog but also kills it on their new record!! Top it off with their latest version of their biggest( arguably) hit," Plush",being stripped down to minimal band participation, tempo slowed WAYYYYYYY DOWN and Gutt goes and sings the shit out of it!! Its about an awful LOT MORE THAN TALENT....Dide has been thrust into BIG SHOES on worlds center stage. Pressure to perform and be professional ,handle press and rigors of daily road life...but it's also about being able to hang with guys in band. Chemistry is half or more than half the battle. Can not have a brilliant musical talent and be a half wit....well,you can but longevity is name of the game and half wit behavior breed half wit results. S.T.P. are back and whooping ass and I for one ,LOVE IT!! Congrats on your new gig ,Mr. Gutt. Earned and deserved!! Cheers to the mighty Stone Temple Pilots!!

Imagine being the new front man for a well established band. What a tough job. Much more difficult than being the front man in a new band. If it is a new band, there is no one to compare you to. If it's a well seasoned band, you'll never meet the expectations of your predecessor. But, you earned the job so give your fans their money's worth. Congratulations Jeff, you earned it. Eric Kretz is a great example of a musician who doesn't have to live on the fringes of excess. He has a job and lives responsibly. A stark contrast to his former vocalist who worked his way to an early grave. At 51 years old (5 years younger than me) Kretz may very well have a long and prosperous career ahead of him.

Just saw them in Pittsburgh. Awesome show!

Jeff is a fantastic singer. Glad he is rocking it out with STP.

Some of the fan base will never be able to let go of Scott but I'm really glad to see you guys continuing on. It would be a terrible waste if you didn't. Rock on!

Dean and Robert need a singer to sing the songs they wrote, Stone Temple Pilots is an established band name, no reason not to continue on with Jeff he's perfect for the job.

Look I miss Scott Weiland and he will always be one my all time favorites. Now he is finally at peace. Now...Jeff’s X Factor story really moved me and if STP called and asked me I would in a minute. AIC, AC/DC, Maiden (remember Paul DiAnno!), Sabbath. Bands should get a chance to move forward. I’m on board...keep it going fellas.

Sucessful rock bands are all about chemistry. Here is the problem that STP has now. Scott Weiland was 90% of STP's success. Just a fact. So either the band members of STP move on and change the name of the band from STP to something else or they will ever be haunted by Scott Weiland stage presence.

Eric who knew the dude has such brains, charisma and humor..I want his hair..I feel for Jeff stepping into Scott's shoes....He is doing great

I have been to a STP concert with Scott Weiland on Vocals and half the show was a mess. Be it Vocals were all over the place or even forgetting lyrics to the song. Just saw STP recently at Revolution Tour and Jeff is awesome. You can tell he loves what he does and is a perfectionist when it come to paying homage to the old STP songs. I fell if you can do as good or better job then the original by all means keep the band name!!!! Unless your just a hater or have gone deaf, Jeff does have the vocal goods to keep STP going.

Why should they dissolve? The DeLeo's are just as much a part of STP as Weiland was. Saw them at the Revolution III tour; Jeff belted out all the classics to perfection, and it was a great show. His voice is certainly better than Weiland's was since 2010, and their new album is amazing.

Black shirt talks too much, cutting them off, hammering Eric on did you consider not doing it. It comes off as annoying. And I'm only halfway through.

"I'm not trying to go up there and be someone I'm not" BULLSHIT. Jeff is trying so hard to be like Scott its ridiculous. They shouldn't be using the STP name.
