I don’t know if Laura Linney has stolen every scene she’s ever been in, but I’ve NEVER seen one stolen FROM her. She perfectly embodies every role she plays, and never seems out of her element. A true artist.

Jeff Daniels imo one of the best actors of our generation

John Adams, the miniseries based on David McCullough's book, the casting was outstanding!!! Laura Linney was so perfect as Abigail Adams! I'll always remember her for that roll.

This is one of the better "episodes" of this series. Makes sense, considering the actors.

Exactly. This episode makes sense & clicks with theses two actors of experience & longevity. Not newbie’s that just starred in a super hero movie and think they are actors, now. That’s Variety’s grouping/casting issues to get clicks. I get it. Give me actors that have been in the game for 20 or more years.

I work (unpaid) in theatre, I agree. You have to learn on your feet. It’s the only way, even if it’s terrible it’s a start. Great video. Brilliant actors.

I keep seeing the word underrated for Laura but that’s what makes her so great.. she’s not about the accolades and fame but the craft and growth as an actor!!

Two of the world's finest actors. And I know from meeting Laura Linney in the lobby of Berkeley Rep that she's a fine audience member as well. She has an everyday presence which must be refreshing and productive when she's on stage or on a set. Daniels has proved more than once that he's "Something Wild".

Laura Linney is amazing! She’s had so many great roles, but Wendy Byrd she absolutely killed that role! So so so amazing! Roles like that and actresses like her are what keep me wanting to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Both Laura Linney as well as Jeff Daniels are underrated actors of all-time! Furthermore, Laura's Showtime television series entitled "The Big C" is a hidden gem!

I won't subscribe to the idea that Linney and Daniels are "underrated." Furthermore, they are NOT underrated. Perhaps they could be considered unappreciated, but that's not the same thing. Two performers of this caliber do not carve out substantial, decades-long careers if they are "underrated."

Of all the Actors on Actors I've seen, this one is one of the very best! Love Jeff, and Laura is great!

Two of my favorite performing artists. LL might be my favorite pure actress. Both are so versatile and committed.

This is such a cool and honest conversation between two incredibly fine actors. An extended version of this interview would be fabulous!

Laura sounds like a natural producer after hearing her approach to acting. Jeff has played a co-starring part or ensemble actor in some of my favorite films...Heartburn and Terms of Endearment are two great ones that come to mind instantly. It was interesting seeing two seriously talented actors have a conversation about their craft.

I want to see the rest of this conversation! This feels like there's an hour and a half that's missing!

I remember when I first saw both of these actors. I saw Laura Linney on tv as Mary Anne Singleton in Tales of The City 1993 and Jeff Daniels in The Purple Rose of Cairo in the cinema 1985. Both are such fantastic performers.

Personally I think you've made it when you have enough for you and the family and you've done at least one passion project and when you realize your always going to look for the next challenge. And helping people making a difference is one of my things. Also never sit back and think I've done enough there's always more and you should never stop going for more

What is the recent vogue for calling very famous people and things “underrated”? Both of these actors are highly regarded, well-respected, often employed, and celebrated. The overuse of “underrated” is almost as bad as the tendency to call things “ahead of their time”-things that are very much *of* their time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Folks-- underrated simply means that a fan feels they could get much more appreciation from the mass public and critics. It is a major compliment that a fan feels they do not get as much press and attention as they deserve.

Been a fan of Laura Linney since I saw Congo in the theater back in 95 when I was 13. Jeff Daniels is just a legend....still upset they killed him off in Speed.

Two actors who were/are serviceable. I don’t remember ever asking my wife let’s go see a Jeff Daniels or Laura Linney picture though. Just two folks who got lucky. No more, no less. That’s the hard truth!
