This is one of the most incredible live vocal performances of all time. The lyrics are clearly so important to him when he sings them. “Father, do you hear me? Do you know me? Do you even care?” His voice is otherworldly. His guitar playing is insane. This song, matched with his skill/talent is like nothing we have seen since.

I disagree, mother is mentioned too in similar context and he'd have given probably his soul to be disassociated from this dad. Many videos of interviews say the same. I interpret the whole song as as a gates of heaven moment, that feeling pain isn't a collective but an entire individual experience and a play on that parents want the best for their kids but despite the 'care' the child still have to go through all the pain of that realization, the same. The gates of heaven moment that, you tried but you couldn't, what would you say? It's a humanity song, about undeniability vs best intentions.

This song (and performance) is like a freight train. Starts off slow and builds until it breaks through your heart and soul with an overwhelming wave of sound and emotion. Before you can know what hit you, the trains slows and you're there: Destination HolyCrapWhatWasThat-Ville. You might not have bought a ticket, but it's too late. You've been moved to another place.

I have tried. I contacted the head of Glastonbury to ask whether Jeff’s entire set would have been filmed, and he seemed to think so, but could not verify. Additionally, Glastonbury owns all the visual content and Sony owns the audio, therefore, in order for this to be professionally released, an agreement between both parties would need to happen. Why this hasn’t occurred, I have no idea.

One thing that's always marveled me about Jeff is his tremendous guitar chops that he almost never put on full display. His reasons for not doing so are documented and I totally understand them, but they're another morose reminder that he'll never get the chance to (if he ever would have wanted to).
If that wasn't just 7 minutes and 34 seconds of fucking perfection, then perfection musn't exist. We feel you, Jeff Buckley. Even without your physical presence.

Kudos to the band for keeping up with a non human creature like Buckley. They sounded amazing and caught in time every single improvisation Jeff did during his live performances. It is obvious they had a strong relationship between them. I wish I could know more about it,though.

"What Will You Say" It's been such a long time And I was just a child then What will you say When you see my face? What will you say When they take my place? My heart can't take this anymore What will you say When you see my face? When you see my, See my face... One thing that's always marveled me about Jeff is his tremendous guitar chops that he almost never put on full display. His reasons for not doing so are documented and I totally understand them, but they're another morose reminder that he'll never get the chance to (if he ever would have wanted to). Alas, we're fortunate to exist in a world where he made music and that's a pretty damn great.
This should have 200 million views
