Jeff Berlin Improvises Beethoven
While filming some lesson videos, Jeff decided to improvise a rendition of Beethoven's 9th, 3rd Movement.
He's recently been improvising tunes on the bass that he knows in his head but hasn't quite worked out.
He does this to see what he can do in terms of improvising an entire performance. Great things happen (as you'll see and hear), but the process also allows him to clearly see areas of musical improvement that he can focus on.

Jeff is one of the best bassists I have ever heard......
There are others that can shred but jeff is so melodic.
That was electric bass playing raised to fine art. Fabulous.

Thank you Peter. I tried an improv to see how it would turn out. I love that melody.
I cant wait to get my fret rocker, fret board protector and crowning file so I can set up my bass myself then work on stuff like this, great playing Jeff.

It was improvized as I knew the music and tried out different spontaneous performances over time. It's a stunning and simple melody by Beethoven.
