Jeff Beck is 79. He and Johnny have an album they have been working on for three years dropping in July. It is called eighteen, because they both said they felt like they were 18 while making it. These two are close friends. They sound better every time they play together.

He was. He was to shy at first but once Alice Cooper and Joe Perry told him he could really sing once he sung Heroes he seemed to sing more. Plus I think he has had such a bad 10 years that he just wants to live his best life. I wouldn’t be surprised if he never gets close to a woman in a relationship again. Then again he seems to be a relationship kinda guy. Hopefully he finds one that is exactly what he thinks she is in his head.

The sounds that Jeff Beck can make his guitar sing are like no other. He is a legend. So great to see him and Johnny Depp playing together, they really compliment each other. Who here has seen Depp in the movie/musical "Sweeney Todd?" He managed Steven Sondheim.... I had already been a JD fan back then, but he grabbed that role, he skyrocketed again in my esteem. His rock style, tone, cadence, etc. fits well into the Bowie or Lennon tribes. And with Beck's layered blues/textured brilliance....Yup. Bring it.

Sweeney Todd is amazing. Depp is brilliant. Reminded me that he was a musician first and then his inward depth of acting made sense. It still takes me by surprise. Hard to imagine it had a mixed reception.

I agree my friend! For someone who NEVER though he could ever sing or had any vocal singing lessons, even though Johnny has sang in a couple of movies, I think Johnny sounds great LIVE! Where even the BEST singers have rough patches nightly on their tours! I enjoyed this video & music of Johnny & Jeff greatly!👏🎶🎸🎙👏

Growing up, we listened to records played on the huge gramophone, ( it was like a piece of furniture) in the front room, such fond memories of Dad dancing about with me on a Sunday afternoon. He loved his music, whatever type, he took me to my first concert The Beatles. The entire gig was great, Sharon Corr & band performing before was a fabulous introduction to Jeff Beck & his amazing band. Jeff was outstanding as you expect, there were many guitar playing & enthusiasts seated all around me & it was amazing to interact at the end, even they were astounded at some of the sounds they heard, Jeff is a master craftsman extraordinaire. Johnny Depp's voice has great range considering it's not his main focus when playing in various bands over the years between acting, yet he's far better than many so called singers, his diction & emotive passion shine through. If there'were a couple of pitch note issues, it proved he was singing live, even a trained singer has this happen, shows it was not an auto tuned performance. He can handle those guitars too & has such stage presence it rounded off the Jeff Beck tour show superbly.

Jeff encouraged Johnny Depp to do the vocals because Johnny wasn't confident with his ability. Jeff understood that Johnny was more than capable of doing an amazing job with them.

Thank you first of to Jeff Becks wife for her beautiful portrait of Jeff and Johnny at the age of 18 to which is the title of Becks & Depps album ( 18. ) came about when Beck and Depp while doing this musical project together kept reminiscing on how they felt 18 years old again. Johnny and Beck wrote. Two originals one of being Johnny paying homage to Mrs. Lamarr to which you all should by her biography Ecstasy and Me My Life As A Women. The movie that made her a huge star at 17 was the 1933 Czech flim Ecstasy oddly enough her first book would be title Ecstasy. Gifted engineer as well a famous inventor infact it is used today Bluetooth and WiFi oh there's lots about this scorpion a true Scorpio indeed. I always say you learn more if you 📚 Please try reading if you don't like it well it's because I always say you haven't found your niche as to what you like to read about trust there's nothing like your soul traveling with the writer of what you're reading. Imagination use to be used lots in my generation as well as Depp and Beck we all come from the same needle and thread. Enjoy life it's to short . Just yesterday Beck , Depp and I were 18 one wink we are now seniors . It's not money it's time that's to be valued man. PEACE ✌

In part, like a series of edgy satirical skits playing up the strong undertones of raw blues, a hodge-podge of music influences, a hefty dollop of punk with a smidgen of reggae and something resembling reckless abandon. Lyrically and musically strange, each track is vastly different. Sometimes harmonious, sometimes on the edge of a jarring clash. P was a fun, impromptu wonderland adventure in a dynamic explorative musical playground. Their self-titled album was released under Capitol Records in 1995.
