Some people have more dollars than cents.

Those things come with lockers and 700 horse, air down those 33's to 10 pounds and dominate. That TRX was schooled heavily by the XJ 4.0 regardless

Cool. Although I did see a good video over on the WFO channel about not pulling in reverse as that is the weakest gear and much more subject to wreak the ring/pinion.

I don't have any experience in the snow, what makes him get stuck while you have no issue in the snow? Tires type/psi? Too much wheel spin for TRX? Or something else like lockers? Thanks for any info you can give 👍

Tires/psi makes a huge difference. Airing down is a necessity in the snow, and having lower profile tires doesn't help. I don't have bead locks and I still air down to around 6 psi. You just have to take it a little easier so you don't pop the bead off. Having lockers is a big plus, but airing down helps enormously even if you have open differentials.

Well, the TRX has a rear locker. Those lower profile tires on there are a big part of the problem. 20s might look cooler (and that’s debatable) but it severely hinders off road performance. The TRX driver also thinks, because he has 700hp he needs to use it all the time. Throttle control is big in the snow, too much wheel spin and you’ll just dig yourself in and get stuck again

Never, never ever pull someone out in reverse. you will twist off the pinion probably the front because your pulling on the coast or sloped side of the gear instead of the drive side. Have 5-6 under my belt including 44's and 60's. housings. Last case you can or may have to but avoid if possible. $$$$ or maybe not getting back you. FYI from an old man.
