Blacked Out Jeep Wrangler Good video for those considering buying a jeep. You really need to know what you're getting into if you're not a real fan of jeeps and understand what they are truly made for. I love my 2012 JK. It's awesome to me. I drove it from Ohio to Kansas and back to see my daughter and it was comfortable to me,(my wife is another story). If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere.

Great video for people looking into getting their first Jeep! I know you've probably gotten a ton of advise on this already but I would look into having the tires rebalanced for the steering shake. If not that then alignment would be next on my list, after that if you still have it look into steering components and their geometry. Keep the vids coming man!

Hey what’s up! I’m new to jeeps and am thinking about a Jeep Wrangler. I don’t really plan on modding it and plan to mostly use it within the city and occasionally taking it out. Do you think it’s worth buying a Jeep just for that or should I consider buying a different car? I’ve been doing research and I just need that little push to decide if I should buy one or not, I’m mostly interested and wanting to buy it but the mileage and the rain coming in are holding me back. Just wanted you’re opinion. Thanks.

Hey Fayaz - firstly, great channel man! I have a couple questions to ask you as I live in Milton and considering the 2021 or 2022 Jeep Unlimited Sahara High Altitude: 1. Does the Unlimited Sahara High Altitude roof look like what you just showed in your vid and would it still be a “loud” drive or quieter bc it’s considered the luxury trim? 2. Would the Unlimited Sahara High Altitude be family friendly for day to day use (two cars seats for two toddler)? 3. Would the steering handling be a concern for residential, highway (QEW/401), and Toronto-Ottawa road trip driving? Meaning for the High Altitude would it still shake a bit? 4. For the gas model, is it a gas guzzler?

I installed my own 35s and balanced them myself, i have a 2.5 in lift as well. i had steering wobble the first go after balancing. the most common issue when balancing tires is center the tire on the machine so that your truely get the best balance possible. you can balance a tire and it says balance and it not be due to centering, most tire shops dont know this or are inexperience, needless to say second time i made sure they were centered and what do you know no steering wobble

Good Monday Morning. I reside in TX, but have a place just east of Parry Sound and we drive in our 2015 JKU twice a year. I put about 3500 miles on it each way. We drive since we have four big dogs and I like having them with me. I have had no issues on the road. I still have stock tires and suspension. I will be upgrading to a 2.5" Flex lift with 35 Toyo RTs soon. I am hopeful that the MPG don't deteriorate too much, but right now I get about 22 MPG driving 72 MPH on the highway to Canada. On my daily drive, I have a combo of highway and city streets and am averaging 18 MPG. I LOVE my Jeep. It is great as a daily driver and as a fun vehicle.

Where I currently live, it's typically 80 degrees F (I live on an island) and I drive over lots of off-roading areas - so I was thinking a soft top would be practical? But when I relocate stateside, which would you say is more reliable?

Jade Terlaje oh so still some time to go. No worries. I love my hard top. You get less issues like air leakage or water leaking. Also it’s quieter inside. The soft top is easier to remove. I know people that own dual for all summer long and put the hard top on during cooler or wetter months.

I own one and I will be honest with you. Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (2010) 4 inch lift and 35's. Light bar, spotlights, haloes, all the gizmos and gadgets and fixtures. Beastly. Beautiful vehicle. Great in the city, around town, or a Sunday jaunt in the country. Definitely awesome off road. On the highway - Very, extremely touchy and sensitive. NOT made for wind, rain, road construction or wind shear off of semis or large industrial vehicles. Terrible for long haul, cross country trips. Noisy, bumpy, road walks, fishtails and will try to kill you. It WILL let you know the types of roads it does not like. My mechanic goes over it with a fine tooth comb at least three times a year. Everything may be perfect on it BUT...like a motorcycle, it comes with its own warning label. Best to put regular tires on for long trips and don't lift it more than 1.5 or 2 inches. I love my Jeep, but it has been retired from cross country trips. They are and can be dangerous when they are fully modified. I'm in Texas, so the roads suck anyway, especially between San Antonio and the Louisiana state line. It's a grueling, hard, stressful, scary, white knuckle drive. I fully encourage the Jeep enthusiast, but don't fully modify it, especially if you drive across the country more than once a year. Modified the way they are, they are not great for highway travel. Love your Jeep, but don't spoil it. It will still be beautiful and beastly without being fully modified.

Tire noise will depend on what type of tire you have, size, and tread wear. Tire pressure can affect road noise, but not so much a 5 psi difference. I'll notice a change in noise or handling when I go from 35 psi down to 20 psi. Obviously, 35" mud terrains will make more humming noise than a stock size all season tire. Also, how often do you let go of the steering wheel while driving? There are at least a few reasons why it would handle differently, or have a pull to the left or right, if at all. The lift kit, wheel offset, tire size, etc. It can vary from one Jeep setup to the next. The 4-door Wrangler will drive better than a 2-door on the highway, and the length of the vehicle is a reason. Quite often, I have customers with like new lifted Jeep Wranglers and 35" mud terrains come in complaining of a steering wheel shake, vibrations, or wheel bearing noise. We balance the tires for them at their request, but then explain to them that it's really just the size and type of tire they have. For me personally, all of the above is no bother. There are certain things you must be willing to put up with if you want to own a lifted Wrangler with some aggressive looking tires.

setmedic I would take the Jeep to someone who knows how to work on suspension and have them check how everything is bolted together. Make sure everything is tight. I would check the tires to make sure they are properly balanced. Some big tires need weights. I had a truck with a similar issue it turned out the tires were not balanced so it caused the truck to pull and shake. Then once I lifted the truck up on a lift I saw the ball joint was bad and the lower control arm was very loose. The torsion bar needed some tightening. Idk what else to say other then I hope you figure it out!

I'm wondering if I should go for a little more expensive lift kit. Is the rough country lift good enough. Should I save my money and go with it. What are the bad things about the rough country.

Brenden Kozak I really appreciate the feedback. Rough country is known to sag after a bit. I bought the series 2 so hoping there are improvements. I just got this kit 2 months back so will be doing a review in about 4-6 months seeing if it actually sagged. I measure the height in the initial video. So I mean, it's one of the most affordable kits out there if you are on a budget and it's super smooth but doesn't have the best of reviews on forums.

Laby 70 hey, the length of the trailer won’t effect the Jeep however the weight of the trailer and your Polaris ranger will. So you gotta somehow figure out what the weight of your trailer is and your Polaris ranger. If you got those figures just be sure that it’s in the range of 3500 to 4000 pounds and you will be fine. Mind ya you are reaching the peak of the capacity at 4000 lbs. Hope this helps.

Blacked Out Jeep Wrangler Ok, not sure what the trailer weighs. Unless its on the title. But the ranger isnt a problem thats on the title and web. Thanks man. Also, question JKU, 3 inch lift 33's 12.50 What is the magic backspace number for that width tire? I like how the jeep looks with that much wheel clearance on 33's. Although i have had several people tell me you dont need a lift for 33's. I dont like the look of a fat tire crammed under a fender. So for me, yes it needs a lift. And from what i understand. With 33's I wont need to change my gearing. Thats not a big problem really. But if it can be done without making the change. Thats fine by me.

Hey Mohammad, no I havent. The only squealing sound I get is from my LED Light bar. Does your jeep have one? If not, the only other thing I can think of is that the freedom panel might not be totally clamped down. If it is, check the rubber sealing, that might be worn out?

Mine is funny, I upgraded to a wider tire (305/60/18) from my stock 2008 Sahara 2-door tires (255/70/18) The 305's are just about the same height as the 255"s (about 32 inches tall). But since doing this, I get that slight steering wheel shimmy that you showed on the highway in your steering wheel, but I only get it at 50 MPH. At 45 MPH it goes away, and at 55 MPH it goes away. I just think this is very strange. The 305's are only about an inch wider than the stock 255"s. (10 inches verses about 11 inches.) Great jeep and great video's.

you can recheck the tire balance and make sure the wheel weights are still in place. but i believe it could be the lift kit you are running to be the suspect, from track bar relocation bracket to drop pitman arm. unfortunately you get what you pay for. and sometimes its a hard and costly lesson. when i build my kit i started with the aev 3.5" dual sport then upgraded the front and rear track bars, HD tie rod,adj lower control arms. do you have aftermarket steering stabilizer? that might help (but could be just a band aid fix) could also be wheel bearing, alignment issue. check those

It's not so much mud terrains being the issue, they will make more noise and vibrate but not really cause the steering wobble. The wobble is most of the time an out of balance tire, most tire shops don't have a lot of experience balancing large tires, so they tend to get it wrong or close to balanced. The next most common cause is alignment, toe to be more specific for lifted rigs. I've ran everything from A/S, A/T, M/T, Bias, Directional and snow tires. Wobble is usually not from the tire (Unless it's a bad or poorly manufactured tire) it's usually the balance of the wheel & tire, alignment, and in some cases steering components and their geometry after a lift.

Hey buddy. Is it a hard top or soft top? I assume there isnt a lightbar on top since its new correct? Let me know about the top and I can try some trouble shooting things with you. You can also keep in touch with me via inbox in Instagram @2015wrangler or here is just fine.

Did you re-gear to run 35"tires?? Running 33" tires put my JK UNLIMITED at the threshold of re-gearing to maintain acceleration and fuel-economy.

Should've added that it gets sluggish and slower with 35's and lifted too.

Hi Ajay, I love muscle cars! I had a two mustangs and a challenger rt plus. Honestly, if you are young and dont have kids, then do a muscle car, enjoy it, slap on some winter tires and go slow in the snow and ice cause they are shit in winter. Most people store them for that reason. That being said, I drove my challenger through one winter and my mustangs through all. The reason I got a jeep was because my wife and I were expecting twins and needed the space. The jeep then turned addictive for me and here I am today. Whats fun about the jeep is the endless building opportunity and the fun factor of being able to remove the doors, roof and go offroading, "you may be faster than me but cant follow me everywhere" goes the saying lol. I'm not sure if this helps but all the best.
