Yep, because unlike the G wagon's average buyer doesn't say, "Hey I want the G65 because it's more expensive and has a bigger number" Even though in testing the G63 is lighter, cheaper, faster etc Jeep people want the 4.0L straight-6 lol

its not really because Ev are more destructive to the planet but noone points that out.

That 1970 Bronco with the 302 (?) is a tractor and a handful. This Wrangler is refined for purpose. You can get it in and out of a corner. Wrangler will go anywhere off-road and eat it up. This Wrangler is just glorious. Tedward, you just help me increase my list of dream rides.

It’s not though lol. Doesn’t have the handling, quality, refinement, tech, or anything really to compete with the G63. It’s just a typical low quality stellantis product with a big engine.

@@Rambler_13 you’re seriously calling a G wagon “antiquated”? Are you kidding me? Someone clearly has never driven a wrangler. Got one as a rental last year and it was hands down the worst driving vehicle I’ve ever driven. It drove worse on the highway, had worse steering, acceleration and wind noise than my first car, which was a 1998 Toyota Camry.

@@Rambler_13 It’s a well known fact that the wrangler isn’t anywhere near a good vehicle. It’s outdated, shaped like a box with zero regard to style or aerodynamics, has the build quality of a plastic fisher price toy car, has the wind noise of a high roof ford transit van, has the steering feel out of a 1800s tank, the technology out of a 2005 corolla, etc, etc. But sure, it’s a “great” vehicle.

It'll never happen, but if Jeep put a 5.7L (because I can't afford the 392 lol) into the 2 door Wrangler with a manual trans I would literally do anything to get one

Hey it might happen. Dodge stopped making the ls chassis charger and challenger. But they didn’t announce cancellations for the trx or any of the other suvs

That sound + Wrangler = does not compute. Best sounding stock exhaust on a truck I've heard.

The Cadillac Escalade is better than Jeep Wrangler.

I admire Stellantis' treatment of Jeep/Dodge. They know their brand identity, and just do the thing, which usually means put a V8 in it.

I did a pdi on one of these working at a dodge dealer in Buffalo i floored it for the first time and spent the rest of the drive laughing uncontrollably coolest thing I’ve ever drive

Fun fact: That Jeep Wrangler 392 has a exhaust button push it and it will bypass the muffler and give a you a straight piped V8 wrangler with a awesome sound.

@@blakec1858 Jeep has some of the worst quality I’ve ever seen. Trim panels entirely misaligned, subpar interior materials, etc, etc. This is a well known thing by now. And for $80,000, you don’t get power front seats, heated rear seats, cooled seats, 360 camera, lane keeping assist, rain sensing wipers, power folding mirrors, etc, etc. Almost all of which are available on the bronco and other competitors. Not to mention the driving experience of the new wrangler, which is quite possibly the worst of any car since the 1990s.

Imagine this on the Nurburgring. It would for sure be the most terrifying experience

Currently have a 2018 M3 and for some reason can't keep from thinking about these 392 Wranglers as being a more fun vehicle to drive. And I don't know why. Worried about handling, steering, and overall dynamics though vs the M3. Driving the M3 is a very rewarding experience. But your reactions being a sports car guy makes me think I might not be crazy. I love the idea of the acceleration of the M3 with the ability to drive over anything. Best of both worlds potentially.

MSRP? In the 90s I had a CJ5 With a built 400 SBC probably around 400hp and it was a beast! I couldn't imagine this monster.....🔥💯🇺🇲

You have to drive one of the new g wagons! Their steering is beyond amazing compared to the previous gen

The old jeeps are terrifying to ride in but I guess its a little bit of a thrill

Man.. Here I am with my JL Wrangler. 3.6L, 6-speed, Borla Atak exhaust, thinking it's as fast as I need and sounds pretty good. Then you do that first launch and you're at 60 before I've barely just engaged the clutch and gotten halfway through first gear. This 392 is such a magnificent package. I don't love my Jeep any less and lusting after things you'll never afford is never a great thing.. but maybe I should have at least sprung the cash for that slick automatic.

4xe is no where near the performance of the 392

If I had a Jeep Wrangler or Wrangler Unlimited (2004 onwards), it'd have a *5.7L HEMI engine* swapped into it.

I have a 2008 rubicon unlimited and I like everything about it except the optimistic 200 horsepowet the 3.8 L v6 makes. I am a v8 fanboy and all I've wanted for ages is a stickshift v8 in my jeep but smog laws aren't my friend.

I feel you. I've got a 2010 2 door 6 speed. I've been saying since I got it that it needs a V8. Especially with 38" tires. Maybe someday it will get an LS.

The newer Wranglers have the 300hp 3.6L V6, the 100 more horsepower makes all the difference. Those old 3.8s were so slow. I have a 2021 4 door with the new V6 and I’ll say that 300hp makes a Wrangler a quick car, even the 4 door models.

JLs still get death wobble. Fixed 2 with death wobble last month.

I think this engine in a Charger R/T, multi-link rear suspension traceable to Mercedes engineering, four wheel discs, etc. would be a much better combination.
