We have a similar story, our 98 TJ sat in a garage without starting for 6 years... we put in a new battery, water pump, and radiator cap. Now she has a 3.5 inch lift, 33K02s, rear lockers and 4.88 gears. We had a clutch issue a few months later but it’s 23 years old bound to be issues to fix!

The east coast and south of America is basically what the majority of Canada is like, but we’re a little better insulated lmao

Long live the TJ! 4.0L engine, manual transmission, enough said. Drill a 1inch hole on the bottom side of the frame, front and back on both sides. Water will be able to drain then. If not, the transmission/transfer case cross member bolts will rust out of the frame. The TJ is a perfect vehicle to drive the bush roads if Canada. Drove my 2000 TJ from western Pennsylvania to Fort Coulonge Quebec, then traveled north from there all around on the bush roads. The small TJ is perfect for the tight trails. Good luck with it and don't give up.

Man you got that for a steal. I would love to have the same one. I really like the green Saharas. I currently have a 1999 Sport 4.0 with the 3 speed auto. It has been my parent's ever since I was born and now I'm fixing it up for college part 2 (masters). I am wanting to swap the axles to rubicon D44 axles with 4:10 gears. New tires and paint job since my clear is fading too.

Did you put some oil in each cylinder before starting it? They must have been bonds dry after all those years. I’m getting my hands on a 2001 Tj tomorrow for Free!! It sat for like 6 yrs but I did get it started a few years ago but it wouldn’t stay running. Gas prob bad. I plan on trying to get her running tomorrow for the first time. Needs a lotta frame repair but aside from that I can prob fix most of what she’ll need myself so I think I’m getting a good project car. Wish me luck bud

At the 4:54 mark you said "but, yeah" the seventh time, so I had to stop watching. JEEZUS!!! I am hoping all your vids have those two words said repeatedly, because I would really like to watch this series.
