Man that red jeep looks new

I love the half doors my 06 TJ has, the uppers have 2 glass piece sliders rather than a clear plastic zipped up flap for a window and I love it. It isn’t exactly the best for going thru drive throughs though.

Best of both worlds running one half door and one full door!

Mine doesn't have A/C but I have the Half-door with sliding windows which is good for winter season/climate. I don't know if it's as good as the full -door but it is solid enough compared to plastic windows.

Your jeep has to be the nicest...simplest build i have seen. After seeing yours i am really considering pulling my lift and going with a smaller one. Thanks for the great videos on your jeep.

Congrats. My 98 sport came w/ factory soft top and hard 1/2 doors. Took awhile but I bought full doors, then the full hardtop both through craigslist. It’s a PITA to swap out each fall and winter but it’s great having both tops all year round.

Great video. Taught me some things I didn’t find just looking online :D

Yes, I agree having both doors is good for different situations but when in doubt, always carry the lightest ones on your to switch it out when off-roading/camping. I have a '96 Wrangler with sliding windows so I would consider those a bit more heavier than the plastic but the rest of my soft-top has plastic and zippers...o/w (love the net though) Great video!

'96 Wrangler? Those exist? There's only a 1995 as the YJ and one year w/ no production for the factory was spooling up for the then-new 1997 TJ and labelled as a '97 Wrangler as possibly made 10-1996 as a '97. WoW! _You got a rare bird there if it called a '96 even if it was made in '96_ ...must be a Jeep QJ ( *Questionable Jeep* ).

My 06' Rubi has always had the hardtop on, tho I do have the soft top in the shed. I love using the soft top half doors when wheeling tho. Can easily see my driver's tire by leaning out a bit, and I like the looks. I throw the window uppers on it when trailering it somewhere.

My dream car is the wrangler with the half doors 😍

My TJ Sahara I just got came with steel half doors body colored so that was nice in the deal and a soft and hard top

I hav the factory half doors with mine....with soft top. If I had hard top would have went with full doors. As far as security....with the soft top I never even bothered to lock it. If they want in they’ll just cut the top if locked. Never kept anything in Jeep that if someone took I would miss. With full doors when replacing top you won’t have to buy upper door skins. Can get expensive. Great video 👍 keep the wave going 👋

Thanks for the comparison. I would like to find a nice used pair of full doors reasonably priced, but around here in California at least, they go from $800 to $1000 a pair. With as many that were made you would think that $500 would buy them all day long!

Unrelated question, do you have problems with your E-brake? I've only owned my 04 for a little over a year and I have had it "fixed' once and it went out again a few months later. Is this common with them? Being a 5 speed I would like to have it working. Thanks! Now I need soft doors too! Lol Great vid

I love my hardtop and full doors lol can’t beat the ac! Lol I like to take off the doors and hardtop for special occasions

This is like having best of both worlds on my 1999 Jeep TJ I just have half doors but I love them, I take the whole door off and I have aftermarket mirror's that mount on it 👍

The 1/2 doors for the JK's are hard too find! Haha!

My Jeep is not my daily driver so i'm half doors and soft top all the way. 90% of the time i take the soft top down and upper doors off. Sometimes I'll leave the upper doors on with the soft top down for longer trips to lesson the wind noise.

Of Course "Thumbs Up"!

I love the half doors but I can’t find the OEM half doors for less than about k on ebay. All the aftermarket doors I see are tube door.

I love those. The YJ I was looking at had soft top and slider windows, sold before I could get out there. I haven't seen them on another jeep for sale since :(

When switching back and forth between half door and full door do you have do anything with the trim on the jeep where the doors seal to the jeep when they are shut

I just bought a 1998 TJ for $200 here in Erie, PA. All rusted, but plan to build for offroad use. It came with half doors but with glass panels. Kylesvt what alternator do you use in your TJ, mine needs replaced.

Kyle Forbes I would say an optima battery would help the most with that. If your getting a new alternator might as well upgrade to higher output if you want.

Hello, I am a new Jeep owner. I got a 2003 sport. It has a hard top on it right now. But when I take it off. I have a gap between the side roll bar and the full metal door. I see that you don’t have that issue. Where did you get the The peace between your roll bar in the Full metal door?

It's for the soft top. It's called the door surrounds. Only works with the soft top. So unless you get a soft top you dont need them

Will Thomas yeah it was a good deal but im pretty sure his doors didn’t come with the inside part of the door and he had to completely repaint it. So it was basically a door with no insides and a different color

No lift with 35s? Ive got a 4" lift on my 06 and had to cut a bit in front on the rear tires. My friend with a 3" lift had to do the same. Rubbed when fully compressed.

Thanks for your video. I don't see the point of buying half doors at all. One of the great and unique things about jeeps is running No Doors. For me it's either full doors or none.

😆😆😆 Security? Just yesterday I locked my keys in my TJ. I just grabbed a torx bit, removed 5 screws and took the hinges off, got right in.

I'm definitely a full door kind of guy.

Man I don’t want to sound like a hater or a troll, just my opinion. I think they are only good at going off road. 2 doors don’t take more than 4 passengers and certainly not comfortably. Even the backseat of 4 doors is very cramped. They can’t take hardly any cargo so those 4 people can’t bring much luggage. They have very low towing capacities. They do not have nice interiors. Just imho a full size truck goes off road every bit as well but does bring people in comfort with all their luggage in a nice quiet interior with a nicer ride while towing a boat or RV or camper and as a bonus they have a nice v8 sound. My 2 cents

Oh of course! Those are some valid points. The new jeep JL interior is super nice I would say tho. Capacity vs truck the truck has more but as far as normal 5 seater suvs the 4 door wrangler fits about the same. The 2 door is for sure less practical if you have a big family or need to carry lots of stuff but for my needs it has plenty of space when you take the rear seat out. I would say most people who are looking at getting a jeep are not in the market for a truck or compare them to a truck. Jeep is more of a fun vehicle that can do some great offloading and has a very unique on road driving experience. Driving around with the top off and door off is a very cool "motorcycle like" experience. It's not for everyone but if you have driven one like that you might appreciate it more.
