One way to dodge the extreme heat is to work during the night. You have to have your ducks in a row though, because part runs have to be done the next day.

so, look for a cheap used pallet jack then you can put those big tires on it and roll it up to the hub and adjust the height without all the hassle of manhandling it. I used to repair heavy equipment and that's how we did it all the time.

I was in the Hurricane Washington area a couple times in the last month and it was 105 degrees. I'm glad to be back in Washington State, it's 66 degrees and sunny here at my house. So much better! I'll be back in Utah later on in the summer when it hopefully cools down a bit. Got my fingers crossed there's some air conditioning in your future!

There is a long-handled valve stem installation tool that’s much easier to use than the small valve core tool. Local auto parts stores and Amazon carry them.

  • @MischiefMakerTV

I had one of those & it wasn’t necessarily faster for install, but definitely easier to thread on and off the valve. Someone borrowed it last year and never returned it & Ive been using this one ever since 😂

Hey Hollie when putting tire & wheels onto the vehicle if you use a longer bar (tire iron) and put it slightly to the side and lift up it tends to be easier cause you can move side to side and up and down, oh and you missed the edges of the inner fender wells 😉 keep you the good work love the channel 👍

Me: No, no, no! You can't spray paint on those wheel wells without cleaning all the finger oils off first. Holly: Hold up. Not gunna paint yet. Being lazy. Not going to be lazy. Me: Oh thank God. Holly: Gunna take these fender flares apart, so that I don't end up spraying the hardware. Me: Whaaaa? Holly: Now I'm just getting the shop ready to mount the wheels and tires. But I want to clean the tires first. Me: *sigh*

Hey Hollie , if your renting the shop space isn't the landlord responsible for maintaining the swamp cooler??? Those things are easy to work on. You have to replace the mats once a year and if its getting water it should work unless somethings wrong with the fan. Good luck thanks for the video.

In a commercial application it's most common that the tenant maintains the HVAC. If it needs replacement that would be the landlord's responsibility.

Lots of things aren’t about money. When you have a shop that operates as your personal garage (instead of a business with customers) it’s kinda kinda lazy to take something as basic as beadlocks to another shop. Also, I would never trust just anyone to mount beadlocks for me, in my mind that’s the same thing as a skydiver allowing someone else to pack their parachute. I intend to take this 6000lb plus rig into buggy territory and I expect it to get me off the trail. I feel better knowing everything was done to my liking 😅

About Evaporative Coolers: Check the water pump. Evaps work by passing air over soaking wet pads. If the pump has failed or is failing, the pads go dry. Check the "spider" tubing that distributes water into the pads from above, they can clog up with mineral deposits. Check the pads, they can degrade and should be replaced at the start of the summer. Remember that on humid days evap coolers do not work well. One other thing, control the air flow in the space, need the big door mostly closed so the air is blowing outward. An old memory here - Used to go up on the roof of my grandma's house and dump ice into the evap cooler. Didn't last long but sure took the swelter out of the worst part of the day. Air Conditioning is the best answer! :)

When I ran a swamp cooler, I drilled more holes so there weren't dry spots on the pads. Yes, minerals plug everything.

Yep, if they are making it humid in the shop then they are going to stop cooling. Spewing too much water can be bad to since eventually it will raise the humidity levels beyond what it can function at shooting itself in the foot so to speak. A humidity reading in the shop will tell you if your at the tipping point of functionality and then you have to consider whether the unity needs servicing or simply is too small for the area. Best!
