If I have Waze on my iPhone will apply car play also be on the screen cause that’s the only reason I need it for??

I have a similar device on my 2015 vw GTI. That model didn’t support CarPlay so I could retrofit a stereo 2016 and up or install a device like this one. It worked. It was a pain because of how tight it was. But it was only 1 small box and a handful of cables. Now I want to do the same to my jeep GC.

So to get android to work you need to plug the phone in? You added the usb and audio jacks under the console but Samsung don't use either connections. Is that right? Thanks

Audio jack plugs directly i to the audio port of the jeep and you just need to connect a type c usb cable from the usb of the module directly into your phone 🙂

I did a little research, there are a company in the US that sells the same module. No it wont affect anything from the jeep. it actually only use the factory touchscreen and the reverse camera input. And the cable adapter is to "proxy" the keys from the steering wheel so you can use them there too. Still not sure if I want to press for 5 secs and so one, I change the settings and radio of the car a lot. and you cant while you are in android mode,.

Hi. I just purchased a 2014 jeep Grand Cherokee for my daughter and she's wanting the Apple Carplay. After some research, it seems like there are many different ways to achieve this. Which is the correct way? Some only sell a decoder and others sell a ton of things with a new screen. I'm confused and trying to figure out what exactly I need.

Hi there, I've seen videos of other cars where there's a small module that has apple car play and can literally be played on any device with a screen, I've seen it even be connected to a tv, and it's much cheaper and seems easier.

Jeep & Tech while ur video is great and the product looks good but for the amount of risk the price is high. Used original head units with CarPlay are sold on eBay for close to this price

You can activate remote start using Jscan app and programming a US key to your jeep. hope this helps
