    Keen to see the process and outcome of the auxiliary battery replacement. Some suggestions with the fuse, made in the comments, may well be worth investigating too?

    Fender liner is the only way to go. Don’t forget to pick up 3 new plastic rivets if you want to do it right. 30 minute job.

    I have a friend who owns a new Wrangler and had the stop/start system warning come on - twice. He took it to the dealer which replaced the auxiliary battery - twice - and it still doesn't work right. I installed the "Auto Stop Eliminator" in my Gladiator as soon as I purchased the vehicle, it has worked flawlessly since then (system turned off), no issues at all. I have no idea what's going on with the auxiliary battery. Will I ever see a problem with it with the "Auto Stop Eliminator" installed? Have to wait and see. Looking forward to watching your video on dealing with it Rob, you and Randall are both pretty capable guys!

    My jeep wouldn’t start this morning got stuck in park .. messages on the screen were vehicle not in park and service transmission

    From what I understand, the aux battery will cause the main to go bad too and having to change both... There is a battery delete through several ways and does away with the problem... I got autostopeliminator on your recommendation on day one and have not had any problem with it at all. 2021 Sport S....

    Don't replace it. Just remove it and pull fuse 42. Go down to a single battery. It will work just fine.

    It's the fuse pull of 42 that will cause it to not know one battery is missing. This WILL NOT disable stop start. If you don't pull the fuse it will throw the error...and auto stop start will not work.

    No. It's that fuse pull that prevents it from opening the connection between post 1 and 2 and seeing a missing battery. All the jeep sees is the 12.x volts it wants in the aux battery test. Cherokee and Grand Cherokee auto stop start just fine on one battery. They over thought this system on JL and JT.

    Pull fuse 42 AND disconnect aux negative from negative on main battery. This is especially good if it drained your main battery requiring a jump. Then you can jump up the main battery and be on your way till you replace it if you want.

    I changed mine on my 2020 though the lining took about half-hour the only way as far as I'm concerned

    You have to hook the positive back up on your main battery….no codes.

    I have the 3.6 e-torque on my 2 door Wrangler, no aux battery. Not sure why the e-torque is not available on the JT?

    Access via the fender liner is on the older wrangler. The 2020 or later require the fuse block and connector block is difficult except for a female torn socket needed. If you jumper post 1 and post 2 on the fuse block the main battery then over rides the auto start-stop without any messages. This eliminates the aux-bat. I have gone both ways.

    Such a stupid system Rob, although we haven’t had any troubles with ours YET 🤞!! I mean how could it save that much fuel, just like cylinder deactivation in a V8, I hate that as well !!

    One of the front hood switche only shuts off the auto stop. stop the other one shows hood open. Not both. Just one. The correct one. Ove watched you do it wrong in several of your videos. Do one. And and tey it. If not. Reconnect it and try the other. It only lights up a small symbol on the dash cluster for autostart. No hood open indicators.

    Mine crapped in the same year I bought it and I purchased it brand new. That aux battery is literally a pain in the butt. I've replaced it and within the same year of replacing it it started sucking the juice from the larger starting battery and it wouldn't start unless I charged it externally. Really a stupid design. You camp for a couple of days and don't want to waste your expensive gas running the jeep to keep this crap little battery charged up because it'll hold a charge for maybe two days and then suck your starting battery the (large one) dry of power and now you have to jump it or charge it while your out in the sticks camping. Stupid design.

    I eliminated the aux battery and have no engine fault codes although I do not use the start/stop system I have an after market device that keeps the start/ stop system on whet ever it was on at shutdown. I found out if you disconnect the aux battery the Jeep will not start; however, if you connect the aux only the vehicle will start. I finally decided to connect the leads to the main battery and eliminate the aux battery ( only has one year warranty and is a pain to replace, and I do not use the auto stop/start system)) I have the towing package and larger available battery (H7). All is working well with no error codes and have used this setup for about 6 mos trouble free on the original battery ( I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland edition 3.6L V6.). I have given thought to the Genesis dual battery system, however, I do not use my Gladiator off road enough to justify the price. As far as warranty I can hook up an AUX battery and return the system to factory. Your thoughts?

    Remove battery and remove the fuse 42. Install auto stop eliminator. Then take two Aspirin and go to bed.

    @@robmotiveplus call the service department today they told me they are charging the auxiliary battery. But when I initially took it in they put it on the computer so nothing was wrong with it but they take a look at it it's been 3 days and I finally heard from them

    Huh,I almost never even turn mine off with the switch……because it almost never start/stops. Sometimes in the summer it will turn off and I’ll be surprised,then I’ll turn it off. I’m thinking leaving it off all the time is the problem🤷🏻‍♂️ probably not but I’m at 29k with no issues

    Means that the aux battery is low enough that the jeep doesn't trust it, but not low enough that the jeep doesn't think it can't simply work on charging it. Also means you're on borrowed time. Or you just don't drive enough to get it to a charged state.

    @Mike Smith: I'm at 21K miles and no issues with mine, either. However, I turn Start/Stop off most times. But also (and IMO more importantly) I have a desulfator (parasitic, requires battery's power to work) attached 24/7 -- the very same one I've used on my 3 previous vehicles (so that's at least 11 years now) -- and my OEM batteries have lasted longer than they were supposed to. Also, the Honda service dept said the OEM battery (5 years old) on my previous vehicle (Pilot) had more power than it was supposed to. So, I'm hoping the desulfator will keep my Jeep's OEM batteries healthy longer as well -- including the auxiliary battery. But frankly, I'm not at all concerned about the auxiliary battery anyway. "Jeep Wave" -- BR
