Looks like it needs some counterweight in the rear end.

The winner of this truck should appreciate the test run / getting the bugs out of those new parts. It looks good out there wheeling. Nice work Matt you built a modernized beauty out of that FC Jeep

it really has been surprising to see how unfriendly that truck was designed for a mechanic.!... not even someone trying to tweak it, but just getting access to the basics... At least Hinos roll forward, this thing was shocking in how you had to lift the entire cab!!! It looks so cool but it was so poorly designed that it ended up being a throw-away truck because normal access for normal repairs were precluded by outrageous inaccessibility! Crazy moments in engineering history......

That was fun riding along. Thanks guys. I need to find out where that place is and take my XJ out there. I don’t do much wheeling but it’s my hunting, logging location /work vehicle/daily driver so I don’t beat on it and don’t usually wheel just for the fun of it but some of the spot I go to are a little challenging. I’d love to see that truck painted with a cool WWII OD green look. Love that thing!! You did a really good job on this build .

Needs a bit of weight in the back to balance the ride out a nice rack and roof top tent over the rear wheels would be awesome for overlanding camping.

This would make a perfect beach fishing vehicle for when i retire soon ,!

Anything harder than this trail , it won't be good for it , cg is just not right for a hardcore rig , but he did a awesome job on it

Your wheel problem reminded me of my days in college. I had rear tires installed before I left to go back, and drove to central Florida from central Pa. After driving around at college, I started to hear a clicking sound, but didn't know what was going on until I leaned against the side of the truck, and it moved. Any more, and I'm really picky about them being tight.

As a kid in the 50's I thought the FCs were cool. Nothing has changed except now I think I have seen the coolest FC.

Cool vid I have not seen one of those in 40 years I knew 2 guys one of which was my cousin who went off the road went 200 feet down a steep hill in the woods never hit a single tree and landed on the roof in a creek both walked away. They where both heavy drinkers so alcohol may have been involved.

I kept thinking, Will he actually take it all the way down to the rock, its so tight in places!

The only thing I would change would be the rear tail lights. Being that it is a TJ rear end it seems off style, but with custom or different tail lights it could fit the theme better.

I have to say. I was little skeptical about the Fc. I thought it was ugly as all get out. But it turned out a lot cooler than I thought. Great work man. I like it.

It just popped the seal 🤷‍♂️ we shoved everything back in but I'm guessing the C-clip may have not been in all the way or something.

havea few of these out in the yards at my old job mulled getting one of them going again but got pathfinder instead

Now time to get it back into the garage and fix some of those weaknesses. I’d definitely suggest a PSC box. Doesn’t have to be one for hydro, just an upgraded box. I hear those TJ/LJ boxes are pretty bad. But overall pretty impressive how well it did! Is it painted yet? Doesn’t look like it. The bed at least.

This is a xj box, turn out it was a simple fix and was easy to repair.

Matt great video looks like a gremlin or two to get rid of but all in all -------I LOVE 💕 that FC she’s just beautiful. Did it turn heads on the trail ? Thanks so much for sharing this build with us. You sure have a lot of work and time in it.
