Great informative video , JUST TAKE NOTICE when drilling on the side of the insert where the thumb push is for the door , make sure your not off center or to deep, cause the drill bit will cut thru the bottom inner part of the handle , it happened to me , i just dont wanna see it happen to anyone else ,,, thats it great video, again thank you

Nice Dex! I got the same ideas from Blackout Jeep! the door handle inserts were from Drake (via quadratec) and the interior lights I got from precision LED. Huge difference!

I'm not one for putting bling on my JK, but I'll be the first to admit that I bought these when I saw them. The brushed aluminum look matches the bead locks on my rims. It's a very subtle touch on my all black JKU that looks great.

great job, just bought my first jeep a couple weeks ago. Had to order it though, 2017 rubicon recon.I already have new j w speaker headlights and tail lights. new magnaflow exhaust and WeatherTech floor mats. So much more to do to it.

Another good DIY Adventure Dex. I researched some led's for my interior. For this who watch your video, a TIP (yes from a noob) If you have fumble fingers like me, pulling out the small bulbs can be a challenge. wrap a small piece of tape around it, and it will come right out. East Coast checking in.

Door inserts add an interesting custom look, but that's gonna add another challenge when cleaning it. Have you had a lot of trouble after you get muddy?

Great question! don't really have "mudding" where I am but I haven't really had any problems with dirty getting stuck inside them. I pressure wash my jeep so that does the trick! Thanks for watching!

How do the handle insert screws hold up with the weather? Do they get rusted?

i came across your video jsut now. do you have direct links? no luck finding the lights & the door logo light

I liked the ground lite. Did the LED bulbs and love them. Why didn't jeep do that. Not expensive!

Do the screws on the handle inserts go all the way through and stick out the back of the handle?

I did does changes on my jeep but after changing the led lights inside the lights underneath the inside mirror always stay on now !!! if I keep 1 old bulb in (ceiling) they (mirror) work perfectly !! Why ??

i just went out in the rain because i thought something looked off and saw that the speaker bar on yours is right over the front seats and you have lights on top of your back doors mine just has one light in the midle of the back seat on the rollbar. my speakers are backwards. is this becauase of the year. mine is 2017 and its a sport not a rubicob

Check to make your your toggle switch is set to come on only when the doors open. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

also helps the windows being down. with all doors shut and windows up, the air pressure inside resists the door as it closes

Are the interior front lights the same as the tag light?

Where did you get the red trim work on the interior? Mines grey wanting to swap to red. I ordered some but it looks cheap and the bolt holes are covered.

QUESTION.... IM LOVING THE VIDEOS (BTW)......... I HAVE DONE A FEW OF THESE DIY UPGRADES...CAME OUT GREAT...I WANT TO PAINT THE SOUND BAR SPEAKERS LIKE I DID THE REST OF THE INTERIOR , BUT WHEN I TRIED TO TAKE THEM OFF MY T-15 WAS JUST A LIL TO SMALL AND THE NEXT UP WAS TO BIG.... ITS A 2012 JKU...ANY SUGESTIONS.

Thanks for the comment and positive feedback Tracy! A good trick that I have learnt is sometimes you can use a flat head screw driver on the torx screws to get them out. Be careful to not strip the screw head but for those awkward sizes sometimes a small flat head works. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

@@adventuredex Hi man, I replaced the factory lights for LEDs in the dome/cabin, after that, the lights under the mirror do not turn off ( I closed all doors and turn off everyting but istill remain on) so have to disconnect the rear-view mirror connector to save my baterry. I'd use black paint on the screws to hide them better

you should have taken the extra 10 minutes to paint the screw heads white. Quick little spraypaint blast before installation...no?
