I hope Kevin gets Beck n Chris a hydraulic tube bender someday🤞their worth it.
Ok Chris, you have officially moved on to the G.O.A.T status watching you go over the transmission. Is there anything you can't do for a Jeep. I don't think so. Wear your crown with pride.
So sad. Brings back memories of my CJ7 I had to sell years ago. Nice to see you able to bring that one back to life.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! So nice to have Ragnarok home:) I gotta say the seats are just incredible ❤
Chris should have an honorary Ph.D. in Engineering - holy cow. There's multiple lifetimes of knowledge in there.
Chris is design on the fly! Engineering and fab all in one.., Beck is definitely a great apprentice 👍
Chris and Bec make such a great team!
Such a beautiful CJ. Great job. Take care God Bless.
The second ya hit play, pure gold, with a dash of mind in the gutter.
Chris’s knowledge is encyclopedic, best build videos on KZread , thank you!
Another great build. Always interesting watching the shop videos. Great job, looking forward to more!!
That’s a ton of work packed into a few short days.. great job Chris and Bec!!
He seems like such a humble chill dude, all the knowledge he has is insane
Wow! What a noble project to bring an old Jeep back to life with new found improvements. Well Done, Carry On!
Great Content and Recovery of this Jeep (Nicely Done) Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
I have learned so much from this video to apply some of this knowledge on my 86 CJ-7. 😊
Great build video Chris and Bec!! Those little blowers are so cute and handy. ❤️❤️💯🤙
Thats a ton of work and details, props to u guys and great job!
Wholesome content! I love seeing things come together like this...
@25.50... I now want to try to put a spring on my piston... Sound like a fun idea 😂😂😂
I don’t think I’d mind seeing Bec grind for an hour.😂 Great job you guys. Love your vids.
Good job guys as always !!!
I remember a magazine article in the late 80's addressing the lubrication issue in the transfer case, they brazed small paddles on one of the gears to create enough splashing to lubricate the bearings. I believe it was in Petersons 4WOR.
Nice, so your donor axle has a higher gear for the bigger tires. Love how how y'all brought this CJ back to life!!
Very cool resto-mod. That CJ should be a fun Jeep. If it was mine, I think I would have done white letters out on those tires for more of that vintage look. Good job guys. 👍
Great video , been waiting to see it finished
Happy New Gears! The great thing about Jeeps is all the changes and parts available. Too many double entendres available here! I’ve never heard anyone else say rebuilding an auto transmission is easy! She cleaned up real nice. Another amazing rebuild by Chris and Bec! Kool sticker! LiteBriteNationJeepsAreUs!
Missed these vids! Fun as always!
1822 Beck without a hat?? Hair down maybe one day? Gorgeous
Great video.. thanks for sharing.
Hey Chris and Bec - Love the old CJ-7. MY best friend had a 76' CJ-7 with a 401 and Detroit locker in the real. We too looked at doing a front axle shackle swap, but didn't after we drove one that had it done. Every up/down movement seemed the to move the axle forward (instead of rearward like stock) and made the ride pretty rough. Good luck with your build - can't wait to see the finished project and how much fun you have wheeling it... Take care and keep up the great videos... Happy trails...
Thing about old jeeps there easy to build and find replacement parts all over the place. Good job on it.
Awesome job Guys!!! The CJ turned out really nice!!! Man I wish I lived near Utah!!! 😢😂
Great video that’s one thing miss full time RVing my shop we’re doing SXSs easier haul they pretty tough . Been out 8 years loving it when we land somewhere one day maybe get in Jeep world . Love rock crawling Sandhollow, Moab,Lake Havasu, keep rockin😊
It might not have a lot of flex but it has tons of class. 👍
awesome awesome vlog as usual
Beck I was waiting for a grinding joke too
love these vids, what a team, is there nothing they cant do!!
You folks should install steel harden axles stronger because if break axle shaft your back tire will fall off also wielding axle housing to pumpkin housing so your axle housing won’t spin ?
Very nice!
The automatic trans on those are not that bad to overhaul. Great tutorial on going through it.
Well done y’all
If I was building a Jeep for flat towing I'd install locking hubs on all 4 wheels. That way its zero wheel drive when its getting towed, and absolutely none of the drive components are getting spun save the wheels themselves.
Nice restomod.
good job 👍
Awesome rehab on the Jeep! Would like a little more details on parts used like radiator (looked like a Champion from the cap?), what size tires did you end up using 33”, & gearing in the replacement axles, total lift achieved?Stance is balling!
Bec. How is it that you work with beige pants and they’re not dirty? Impressive.
LITE BRITE NATION MABUHAY....
You guys do some incredible work! The level of detail, very professional! Love watching you work together! How should someone contact you to schedule a job with you?
finally decent content
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 damn guys you have made it awesome
Nice video
I'd like to have those stock springs. We're rebuilding a 79 CJ5
Dude. Tell Kevin and Brittany to buy y’all a proper tube bender. 😂
Guys I used to wheel with put locking hubs on all 4 corners so they could easily flat tow their Jeeps
Super BadAss!
I'm hoping that the internal work on those axles wasn't done by the guy that did the welding on the perches 😅
I love to have a old 4x4 jeep I love to drive on back roads even 2 track trails made by hunters in the country but don't think it happen don't have the cash I rather have a old 1960 to 73 car or truck then the new junk they build these days
I don't need the springs but I wouldn't mind having the diffs you pulled out.
yeah bec anybody that turns wrench knows that half of wrenchin is gettin the cuss words in the right order
Love first!
Great video like always. I have a question on a issue I’m having with my Jeep. It’s starts over heating about every 3 to four months. There are no leaks. And I changed the thermostat. But it still does it every couple months. On the highway if I’m going over 70 it’s starts to over heat but if I slow down around 50 the temperature goes back to normal. Do you have any suggestions?
Who makes that steering wheel? I’m liking it!
I be revvin’ my CJ7 (the song by summer salt).
Hello Bec and Chris. Is Bec's Jeep finished?
Put 1 piece axle in the amc 20 since your going with bigger tires
Do you have to put a bubble flare in the new fuel line when changing over to a rubber line. 1978 cj7 V8. Thanks
I understand engines and have overhauled one years ago but transmissions are a complete mystery to me.
Most 1980s CJ7/8 has silly airplane gearing like 2.72s or 3.31s way to high a gear a 30-31 much less a 33. 4.10 gears are ideal for a 33x10.5R15 tire, the Dana300 transfercase only lubricates the rear bearings while under power, when you are flat towing there is not power to sling the gear oil around and with in around 200 miles the bearing will usually friction weld itself and destroy the TC OR set the jeep on fire. The AMC20 rear axle is a good axle BUT, the two piece axle shaft are a major weak link, the one piece axle shafts that are aftermarket are Much better and cheaper than the stock axle shafts, at around $250 for the pair. If you are doing a spring shackle reversal, Make sure that you have enough collapse in the front drive shaft or its going to be expensive, Tom Woods Drive shaft makes driveshafts to order for this that are already adjusted for the extra travel. You will also need to check the movement of the front axle articulation as it is close to the rear front fenders.
Is that the Howell efi kit or the Holly?
I think it’s funny how different people think in different areas I replace the brass hex plugs with square ones because I’m tired of having to try and remove striped out over torqued hex plugs lol
I would have made beck move the axle by herself. 😂

Nvm lol she is tough ..
Strange. I've been flat towing my 79 CJ7 for years with no problems. Put the T-18 tranny in neutral & the transfer case in neutral and off I went.
Becca, do you miss Kentucky? I live in Louisville.
in Texas and Jeep weekend in Galveston is roaming small (gangs of Blatts) looking to (steal car parts) evey year it's held near the blatt neighborhoods.
Is all the technical data you use readily available in manuals like Chilton type manuals, or do you use regular shop manuals or the internet?

I would have to do a few weeks worth of writing things down lol. but most of the info is online there are some good books like the atsg books also

❤
So three shops and 4 years later how do i find out if i have the budget or the blessing to see my Squarebody getting finished in your garage? I need help.
💯
I love watching you guys work on the classics. Curious about why you did not opt for 1 piece axles. And going with harness (based on adding the bar) but not planning on lockers? And don’t stress about the sway bar. Not needed on a CJ. Took mine off when I bought it 12 years ago.
how much lift is that? is that tire 35s?
The 40k we just dropped on my wife's Highlander will motivate her to help get my CJ restored this summer so she can park her ride in the garage instead of my project Jeep. I might start a comedy channel to document this because she cant even air up her own tires.
Will Lite Brite be considering joining Ultimate Adventure this year?
I wouldn't even know where to start with an auto trans rebuild
Why electric fan than fan clutch?
When is the next Jeep festival?
😎🔥
👌🏻
What's the advantage of changing the shackle position? And if it's better that way, why would the factory make them backwards?
@Garagespeedengineering
Жыл бұрын
It has advantages and disadvantages, ride comfort offroad was the biggest advantage for this jeep, as it will spend most of its time offroad.

@@Garagespeedengineering Thanks for the explanation. I've always wondered why people were always flipping the shackle locations and I just couldn't understand why. Lite Brite Rocks!
Can you ask Chris what is the brand/model of that bench top brake? Would appreciate that.
