Jeep Cherokee XJ | Offroading with the Rough Country Long Arm Lift Kit

Back in March, we installed the Rough Country 4.5" Long arm lift kit on the 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ.
Fast forward to September, we finally get to test out its capabilities off road and in mud. We had the awesome opportunity to wheel at Kansas Rocks.
Since the installation of the lift kit, Val installed a Smittybilt rear bumper, new wheels and tires, a front bumper, and a Smittybilt winch.
The XJ is still a working progress, just like any off roading truck, but it is already incredibly capable and fun!

Very important suggestion. At all times while off-road run it in 4 low. I've tried with 2 wheel and 4 high for fun but I can see my trans and engine temp to the exact number and they always get about 30 degrees hotter while doing that. When in 4 low it takes the load off the transmission and engine and keeps them much cooler. Just saying for the longevity of that awesome Jeep. Have fun!

I think it was a gas tank from Menards. They sell metals gas tanks.

Bf Goodrich tires and the lift kit is Rough County. I actually have a whole video of the lift kit install.
