JEEP - Just Empty Every Pocket. Hard to stay cheap on a Jeep but they are fun.

I love my 2001 XJ 4.0 turbo build. Had a little mishap about a month ago . Getting it all back together now.

Have you ever found an answer to that question? I'm still curious, but just recently watched this for the first time, so,..... Just wonderin'. I've looked, but can't find the next episode of this build,.. if there is one.

I have it on my front diff on a jeep tj and its simplicity and low maintenance make them bullet proof. As long as the wheel doesnt lift in the air is all good and on the jeeps the flex is pretty damn good

I live in Hyden Kentucky which is the small town you go thru to get to Harlan we've got some awesome trails here as well great scenery and trails to suit any level of experience. Pretty awesome to see y'all was close to my neck of the woods

I’ve never been a fan of Jeep as a “daily driver”…. But with a few mods (brush guards, lights and 33”) they are sweet machines. Look awesome too

Yes that exhaust note is really nice,.but you should hear the rumble from a set pf dual Clifford headers on an in-line 6 1979 CJ-7 ( bone stock engine )

My sons xj 4.0 with a comp cam, 10:1 comp ratio and headers sounds great with a magnaflow oval.

He just had to mention Tellico. I was there every weekend for 3-4yrs. I miss it badly

Pretty awesome for not having lockers. I love watching people with LSD or even open diff getting through stuff like this. It really shows you what a good driver looks like.

One of the boys in my Jeep club has a similarly built TJ but with open diffs. I am fully locked. He has shown me up multiple times on hard obstacles and it just goes to show his decade plug of seat time versus me only having a couple years makes a difference. It just motivates me to keep learning and watching.

I'm building a 6.7 l LS motor out of a lq4 6 l and I was wondering what injector should I run in it the stock injectors are 38 lb should I get bigger ones

They get sold on eventually to pay for other projects.

Kevin, where in B.C. are you from?

In 4x4s there's a good case for fully floating rear ends. In a full floater the axle only has to handle torque and the axle housing takes the weight. If you break an axle (which is far less likely since there's no direct weight on it) then you can drive home on the front diff and still winch out with all four wheels still in tact. Toyota Landcruisers esp the FJs nearly all of the 1970 onward had fully floating rear ends and axle breakage was pretty rare.

Nothings stopping you, it won't exactly be an xj or a wrangler, but a wj can be nearly as badass with almost as much aftermarket!

I think this engine "upgrade" has cost about $7000 at this point, and is still no better than when the engine was new.
