When i was playing kyle fell into acid river and lived there until i finish the episode. he is basically unkillable.

Video should've been called "Jaden goes bananas".

Always like about this ending was how Jaden just cruises up to the Star Destroyer, boards it, then cuts down the officer in charge and takes command...kid knows how to get shit done. Also those are some pretty smart Imperials for not resisting.

just finished it on jedi master difficulty and I thought it was a shit ending for the dark side, like why the fuck couldn't he actually kill Kyle and Luke and become galactic emperor!? Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight ended with Kyle becoming galactic emperor if you chose the dark side, so I have no idea why they'd cheese it. Seeing Jaden be moody was just stupid in my opinion, and that ending left no closure, it just left the story needlessly unresolved.

And...Kyle is still looking for him

+MikeAvenger08 Apparently there was an ending to it. Kyle finds Jaden and fights him again, and get pushed off a cliff, but is saved by his own ship and escapes. The planet or base they were on was self-destructing, and Jaden was left to die. His last name, after decades or centuries, has become an insult to say to someone who has failed horribly even after sacrificing everything.

I guess a lot of people failed to notice the imperial body at Jaden's feet. It's literally telling us the imperials that didn't follow him were killed. (Which is pretty common with most Siths.)

Luke: “Yoda and Ben were both great teachers, and they both lost students...” Kyle: “Don’t forget you... you lost Desaan...” Luke: “I suppose...” Kyle: “And technically you’re the headmaster, so you’re kinda responsible for this too, giving me a teaching job...” Luke: “Well...” Kyle: “I’ve almost fallen to the dark side 3 times. Who in their right mind would ever hire me...” Luke: “Kyle...” Kyle: “I’m a 50 year old mercenary for godsake... putting me in charge of teenagers...” Luke: “Okay. Let’s not get all hung up on who is responsible for what...”

The game jumps the shark at this point, this is utterly ridiculous... yet so much freaking fun! Remember when games took themselves less seriously and developers could get away with being bold and sometimes even over the top without fearing the possible backlash? Your character turns into a deranged lunatic and murders EVERYONE, the very fact that this is a valid option is goddamn incredible.

this game is old af and it has so smuch stuff unlike new games.Lightsabers guns force power actual jedi-sith fights(unless you grip them of a cliff lol) and sometime even vehicles.

A great detail is that enemies and allies stop shooting if you fight against a dark jedi.

25 years later, and Luke's facial model is still the golden standart.

Jaden's voice actor really hams it up when he goes dark side. He sounds like Corey Taylor from Slipknot

I love how at 8:21 when Jaden shoots Kyle with the scepter, he just falls back stiff as a board 😂

9:12 here Luke's mature enough to acknowledge that good teachers still have bad apples in a bunch. And Kyle actually takes the responsibility of his own student in his hands. New Star Wars: Luke sees himself as a failure and runs away from his responsibilities and allows his evil student to become stronger instead of trying to stop him. Way to treat your former heroes Disney by not making them evolve in character development

Really though, a lot of things in Disney's new Star Wars makes little sense. There's no way Luke, knowing his character, would abandoned the galaxy because his nephew turned. He either get him back or lead the charge to take him down. And there's literally no way that the overturning of the Empire and the events leading up to it would become myths in only like, a few decades. Unless the FO systematically assassinated everyone involved in the major events, mass erased databanks, and Darth Snooki dark-side-wizard-power people's memories.

Well it's rather disheartening when one of your most promising student falls and destroys everything you built before your very eyes. It's understandable that Luke would feel like a worthless teacher because of that. Not only did he fail to stop him from falling, but it's also the son of his sister and best friend. He let himself and everyone else down. So yes, I think anyone in that kind of situation would pretty much feel depressed and want to be gone forever for fear of fucking up again.

I, for one, like both endings. But this one I like because by the time you start the Korriban levels on the Light Side, you have Jedi in your way when you're trying to fight. This way on the Dark Side, you can kill them all.

'Yoda and Ben were both great teachers, yet even they lost students. Me, I had one moment of fear, tried to kill my nephew, watched my temple burn and fled into hiding to drink seal breast milk for the rest of my days'. And that, people, is why the EU will always be better than disney.

@@ljnchannel2706right? Even if Luke did have the moment of weakness in Ben's hut, what is the excuse for Luke banishing himself to Ach-To? A lot of the TLJ defenders will point to Obi-Wan and Yoda and say that they went into exile too. The problem with that is that they had a purpose. Obi-Wan was protecting Luke until he came of age and Yoda knew that he couldn't defeat Sidious alone after fighting him in the Senate, so he was training with Qui-Gon and preparing for the day when Luke would need his help. With that in mind, what was Luke's purpose to exiling himself on Ach-To? He went there to die. He wasn't training to defeat Kylo, he wasn't preparing to train Rey, he was just moping there until he died. Leaving the galaxy, his family, and friends undefended while a Sith lord of his own creation runs roughshod over everything he cares about is so far removed from the Luke Skywalker that I grew up with that I don't know how anyone could see this as anything but a betrayal of the character we love.

@@ljnchannel2706 I absolutely despise TLJ, but I don't harbor any ill will toward people that liked it. Art is subjective so different people are going to like different things. I just found too many faults, in my own personal taste, with the movie to be able to forgive it. And before anyone accuses me of being racist or sexist or whatever (because for some reason people think that if you don't like TLJ, you are), I don't have a problem with any of the casting choices, just with the writing choices.

he's a dark jedi,now,he has even the scepter so it's hard to accept,he could just use the scepter to destroy the Star Destroyer and due of the fact he killed their leader they have no choice. this is the logic of the sith, i'd bet that many imp officers want to return to the times where the empire controlled the galaxy,so if siding with Jaden means the return of the empire they would do it. i never killed stormtroopers in this game(used mind trick or speed to run away)so it's okay

+AntonAntonov no that's in the light side run, the dark side run of korriban has them only a little less aggressive than the cultists. But it's barely different from the cultists enough that I think it's just random flukes of game mechanics causing a delay in their enemy protocol type stuff. I'm only so sure on this because I lost an hour of progress on a light side run when I accidentally offed a Jedi while doing a special attack and I was low on health. Ended up getting mad and doing the dark side run instead.

Katarn must've been really heartbroken to see his student turn to the Darkness. That said, I hope Katarn too can understand Jaden being pissed as Rosh, too.

Interesting coming back to this following the sequel trilogy. This is the Luke I remember.

I wish we could’ve had a scene where luke could sense no good in someone and he is shocked that there is no hope for them

9:05 is how Luke should've responded to Kylo in TLJ. The EU really built him up to be the greatest Jedi ever and then Disney is like "No this uninteresting girl with few actual character traits it the greatest"

King Derner Cousland Dark Side is simply more realistic, just look at every day human nature. But I do think there should be a game after this as a DLC that if Jaden turns to the DS Kyle searches for him and if hes LS he continues to fight the Sith.

the sith after this ending are disorganized while if you fight for them to rebuild the Empire is more realistic. I simply loved the ability to travel to different planets in a semi-free roam mode with all jedi abilities. i would pay a lot to see an open world version of JK where you can travel freely the galaxy and roam different planets and maps and decide to be Jedi\Sith.

Same here. Both were super hard to beat but dang it if I didn't feel more fulfilled on the bad side than the good. Jaden got put through utter hell emotionally the entire game due to Rosh and the cultists, he/she had every right to be pissed off. Rosh violated their trust and trolled them consistently so he deserved what he gets in this ending. Then you get to kill the goof villains who are irritating the entire way which is so fulfilling. Only thing I truly hate is fighting Kyle, he didn't deserve that. I kinda wish they gave you an option to go grey and not attack him, and in modern day I'm sure they would have. By the way, if anyone really really wants a red lightsaber during the Korriban dark side ending, it's really easy to change your lightsaber color if you're playing on PC - open the console by hitting shift,+, and ~ at the same time, then type "helpusobi 1" to enable cheats, then type "sabercolor 1 (color)". So for example, to change my saber color to red I would type in "sabercolor 1 red". If you have dual sabers then you can type in the same thing, except "sabercolor 2 red" to change the second blade. I just wasted an hour looking for a mod to let me do this lol, thought I should pass it on to other ppl because it's pretty cool.

What amazes me is that this video was uploaded in 2006. 3 years after they release of they game. So when this video was uploaded they game was still "new". It's like uploading now(01/2020) videos of Battlefront II. It's just amazing

This ending in my opinion is the best and should have been the true ending and they should have built a sequel based on it. This had some of the best lines from Rosh as he dies, and altogether a powerfully emotional ending.

I think a good feature for this game could have been to make the light/dark choice.. not a choice, but a "result" of what powers you focused more on in the game. And would add depth to the warnings from Kyle and Luke when they say "be careful about using the Darkside" inbetween missions. Would be a bit of an RP element then and even teaches a thought provoking lesson.

Dark Side ending? More like Total Jackass ending

I find it funny how people laugh at Jaden's voice but no one is mentioning his ever vanilla facial expression despite that, especially when he is striking Tavion down xD

I always prefer to make Jaden a Kel'dor, looks cooler.

As far as I know, the light side ending was the intended one as there are a few books involving Jaden set after Jedi Academy that have him clearly being a Jedi.

When Jaden raised his lightsaber to kill Tavion, I thought he'd say "There can be only one!" :)

well the cultists and the reborns were never part of the Empire so i will kill them all i wanted to play with the idea to resurrect the empire,not even Luke can stop him if he imbueds himself with all the of the power of the scepter

This game was really good, but it's story just feels weak. DS ending just feels off, and LS ending isn't must better. Outcast IMO had a way better storyline.

To be honest, this was pretty much just an expansion pack bumped into being an expandalone, and it existed pretty much to give players wish fulfilment, especially in multiplayer where the game had quite a sizable following for many years.

+Mel86 I would want to have decision to be or Dark Jedi or Sith ( Sith means accepting their teachings and being one of them joning their society in quest for power ) and living as the true sith lord getting taste of true immortality through force and dark rituals and winning most fights thanks to using information and corrupting enemy making him mad and using his sloppy mistakes to do a decisive counter show the Jedi pros of being the sith .

this game was incredibly fun. and the multiplayer was working very good too

This was a very memorable and exciting game and still is! I really wish that they would produce a sequel or follow up to this great game! Even though this game is dated now, at the time of its release, the animation, art work, character voice-overs, cut scenes were all very well done. All this work on the game pulled the player into the story - and we enjoyed it!

lol. Depending on the difficulty, beating the last level of Jedi Academy is tough. Katarn is annoying as hell with spamming Absorb, Protect, and Heal. Not to mention if you get close enough he will beat the shit out of you and throw you across the room.

Jaden didn't turn to the Dark Side. He turned to the Ham Side. "OH NOOOOOO THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!" makes me laugh every time. xD

@TheMikeyApparatus well actually I was talking about FU just for the cool force power attacks and stuff when that game gets cheaper b/c $ isn't worth it for story or targeting. I mentioned KOTOR a few comments back but I already have it on Xbox. I do want KOTOR II. Should I get that for Xbox or PC? And what is steam? I think I've heard of it and used to have it (maybe) but I don't anymore and I don't remember what it is.
