Fun fact: at her trial she debated her prosecutors to such a way it left lasting impact as she debated like a wise philosopher despite being peasant girl, having no education and couldn't read. And even in her death she saved her country as her death was so brutal (I mean, they did burn up 19 year old girl at a stake) that people all around France were moved and decided to threw the English out. Last English city in Northern France fell in 1453, mere 22 years after her death.

The real nerdy answer as to how the english got ousted is the following: A big reason why france crushed the english in the last 20 years was charles the VIIth's (aka the guy she helped crowning at reims) military and economic reforms. In 1445 the compagnies d'ordonnances were officially created which is credited to be europe's earliest standing army, 15 compagnies of 600 dudes for a permanent 9000 strong force and finally france was the first european army to incorporate gunpowder artillery in its formations thanks to the bureau brothers. For the economy the tldr is that the biggest tax called "taille" can only be collected by himself and becomes permanent which is what allows him to raise a standing army in the first place, no money= no soldiers The battle of castillon which concludes the war features a 9000 man strong french army who lost about 100 men vs 12000 english with 7000 casualties... the english army got smoked so hard it didn't just end the war it also provoke the war of the roses which is what game of thrones is based on if you want to gauge how much this is bad news. For all the hype agincourt or crécy get, castillon is the real gigachad of the 100 years war battles, ended the war, permanently removed the english/british from the continent, and started the worst civil war in british history all of that for 100 casualty, talk about a good deal. Btw the compagnies d'ordonnances were later replaced by the gendarmerie, which remains an active military unit to this very day, a very successful reform eh.

This answer really threw off the court because it was intended as a trick question: according to the church, nobody could ever know if they were in God's grace, and claiming that you were would be considered heresy. Therefore, if Jeanne answered "yes", the court could find her guilty of heresy and sentence her. However, if she answered "no", she would have confessed to lying about hearing the voice of God and angels, and be labelled a heretic. So, she came up with an answer that nobody would have expected an illiterate peasant girl to come up with, thus freeing her from the trick question.

She was an absolute beast back during my early fgo career. She could tank attacks. Slam the enemy hard and be cute while doing it. Wish she had a buff that would give her attack/arts up and give her np recharge and buff remove resist to give her a niche

I know it's Jeanne's relevant history in the video, but after the previous video with Molay and all this background with the French royalty's mishaps and deaths, it seems like Molay's curse really doesn't fuck around.

Me and a buddy got into this rabbit hole just yesterday. Apparently there are several contradictory historical accounts of her appearance, with some describing her as a tan big tiddy tomboy and others describing her as being very curvy and fair skinned. There's also accounts of her voice being soft spoken and feminine. But other sources say that she also violently cussed out her men a lot. Also she was an insane shot with a cannon, which means she could be an archer even without the dolphin. Shit's wild man.

to be fair, in war, long days out in the sun can tan you very easily, and if you're dressing like a man, she may well have bound her chest at times, which can definitely lead to some "damn, didn't know she was that stacked" moments, especially if she had to forgo wrappings during say, recovering from an arrow wound. same goes for the voice, military speech and civilian speech can make a person sound entirely different than they may otherwise speak.

Tbh I only got her like a mouth or 2 ago after completing the fae lost belt-so I just look at her and think "she cute but I have merlin, castora and himiko all maxed out"

Nothing like good old 99 turn clears with Jeanne

She is actually pretty usable now on JP, The 50% def down really helps with the Ordeal call 1Enemy nodes since oberon only provides buster and NP dmg up, it ends up giving you a considerable ramp up in damage if your ST has 0% or Low atk buff values.

She's good to have around. But if she's the only one you have, you'll appreciate her more. Or curse the gacha god for giving you NP 7 Jeanne D'Arc, and no one else.

Jeanne's history is honestly pretty wild.

Jeanne is my favorite servant, thus she currently sits at level120, with max-fou and max-beast footprint. She may hit like a potato compared to other servants, but this potato packs a big punch now 😏❤️

Jeanne was the literal first thing I ever pulled after the tutorial rolls. And until Castoria got released, she was an integral part of every stall team I used. She may not do much damage and she may be outclassed by newer defensive options, but she was still a big reason why I was able to clear things like the crab apocalypse in Summer.

Although I don't use Jeanne as much nowadays she absolutely carried me through Arc 1. She was first in line when boss fights started and was last to lose usually doing a solo at the end.

She was the one to score the final blow on Cernunnos for me.

Jeanne was the first 5* I ever got back in 2018. She's my first bond 10 and my first level 100. I love her and everything she has done for me. Even if she isn't on my frontline, she's always there in 6th slot just in case.

Oh, I didn't realise Jeanne was killed by the English. Why did I think the French turned on her and put her on trial? Her story actually sounds even cooler than the pop culture version of her.

I'll make her 120 one day, as all of my Jeanes. Jarcher NP6 lvl120 2K/2K Fou Jeanne Ruler NP3 LVL 100 2K/2K Fou Jalter NP3 LVL 100 2K/2K Fou Summer Jalter is hard for now but got LVL 100. 2K/2K Fou in the future And I'm don't have Jeanne Lilly.... I began to play FGO after her event.

Jeanne was the 5* I finally decided to end up with after rerolling for days and not getting Waver back in 2017. An absolute champ that got me through everything back then. It may have not been fast but I won every time.

Casotoria and jeanne completement really well, jeanne provides healing and defense with invulnerability while castoria provides the aggresive buff with protection against invul pierce.

If you take away all the mystical mumbo jumbo it turns into: Girl from the countryside hears voices Convinces civilians and the government to send her to war She wins at the cost of her life and reputation

I usually just do Jeanne - Castoria when I know it's gonna be a long one.

Level-5 made a very good SRPG called Jeanne d'Arc back for PSP and your Tales Of comment reminded me of that.

She's the Servant I wanted the most back when I started in NA, and the only 5 Star I have NP5, which were all obtained through Story, GSSR and Spooks. She's also my Fate/ waifu. 2 k foued her and grailed her to 110 currently

I remember during LB2, I recently got NP2 Jeanne and had to use her to fight Surtr (I had potato units) and SHE DID IT BUT IT TOOK 113 TURNS

Kinda sad I never experienced her for my early game back in the day :( now I can run immortal teams so I never see the need or hope for a spook, hope she gets several buffs though :(

Jeanne was my first SSR for FGO. After several rerolls.

Some say castoria is the better tank and some that jeanne but imo you just put both with a merlin and you got an invincible team that got me past many challenges and hard missions (Got to turn 52 with them lmao)

Went in for Support 2 banner, would have been really happy to final greet skadi or merlin, himeko and Orion also perfectly fine. Of course I got Holmes...... On the bright side Asclepius was on rate up for that banner and drawn him 2 times, so I guess yay for spending money to get a 3 star?

Remember that time Shakespeare put out a Joan of Arc hit piece, and then did another one and showed it to just Jeanne in Apocrypha? Now they have to be friends in Chaldea. I also remember the 80+ turns against that saber alter fight so thanks for that flashback.

The lore around Jeanne can easily explain two things about us (the french) we don't like our kings or the english.(and taxes as well now that i think about it :)

please fix her NP's overcharge (5% Defense...what the hell Delight Works) please give her a first skill that isn't outdone by a TWO STAR (Hans' buffed skill gives MORE stars, is targetable, gives NP gauge as well, and is on a SHORTER cooldown...) Please make her third skill actually usable in non-servant fights. Like it is actually pointless unless you're fighting servants...she may as well just have 2 skills in those situations. God, I am actually begging you. Jeanne is by FAR the biggest victim of Year One design (when the devs had no idea what the hell they were doing) and it is embarrassing that we're in Year Eight and her fixes are nowhere in sight.

She has 50% def down, pretty good for raids and Ordeal call 1T nodes. There are way worse SSRs like holmes with 20% arts down or Nightingale with 50% buster up(oberon already provides it so won't help as much as atk up to hit the 3 dmg mods) If they give her like 30 NP dmg up for an allie she becomes top tier instantly(well not for 3t💀)

@@owo4288 being used once a month in a fight you can use commands to skip any challenge isn't a great niche. Orion NP 1 deals more dmg than euryale, the problem is that there are other free servants who are also better when its not vs male, And more importantly, it does not matter if there are better f2p options if they are good enough since the important part is if they are usable.

@@GS_CCC If you use command spell skip as the reason, you can swipe out many servant out of the discussion. The main reason why I say Artemis is outclass because her anti-male is one turn while Euryale has her on NP with a charm on top.

Best spook I've ever gotten in my early FGO playthrough. She and Mash tanked their way through my enemies 🤣

I di agree with your point about reddit and a lot of content creators forgetting that all accounts are fluid and unique. A lot of people seem to assume that everyone has every single servant and can't imagine anything else being true. It's kinda annoying the lack of complexity in the analysis of servants since many people presume things that aren't universally true like having 5 star supports

I unintentionally solo'd surt with her. Everyone else got fucking destroyed but she was literally unkillable thanks to surt filling 75% of her np gauge each turn, meaning she never stopped healing for 50+ turns.

No matter what anyone says, Jeanne is still useful in FGO.... she is to me. I've read plenty on Jeanne's history..... or at least tried to since French is kinda hard to pronounce. Every time I hear her story, I am hit with the big sad.

Jeanne's whole deal and history is strambotic at least. You should have made a little mention of what happened to Gilles after she burnt lol. That aside, Jeanne, or THE WALL as I call her due to her bloated HP is certainly outdated but still useful. Her skills all suck shit but she makes up for it with her NP which is far better than Castoria's for CQs and boss fights. A curious Servant to have but a new player definitely can pick better choices nowdays.

I used to joke about how Jeanne would spook me when i was rolling for waifu characters as a way to tell me to stop being horny XD. Shes np 8 and ive never rolled in any of her banners 🙃

My main problem with jeanne is that her np1 defense buff scaling is shit. 5% defense up is an actual joke and it only goes up to a decent 25 when you have her at np5. Like, thats actually ass

alternatively, put Jeanne on the immortal team simply because you don't want the AI to have fun. she has triple artes so she contributes towards that 20% bonus np each turn.

Tbh jean doesnt need a skill rank up but a REMAKE. She has the worst skills in the game and as 4 the 1st one a craft essence is way better cuz it doesnt last 3t. It is such a shame because she is a very good tank with the highest health, good np support and had the potrntial to be even better than merlin and castoria. Only good for beginners or her waifu fans

You're one to talk about french! I'll have you know that english is one of the most inconsistent language on the planet! Who decided that though, tough, thorough, plough, thought, through would be written the same but all be pronounced differently! Don't get me started on the sheer insanity of colonel and such. French has the merit of consistency, when you see -au it always sounds like -o, same for -eau and -o. Meanwhile english has door and foot, why are these -oo different from one another what the hell bro! It's a worse than a coinflip chance to get it right
