Un grand Maître ... l'un des plus grands parmi les Premiers ! Que dire d'autre ? Merci !

This, until today remains as to be "THE" version of Deseclo's Prelude, Cadence et Finale. An interpretation without any compromise, really challenging if listening to the cadenza and the risks he took there. Don't know any similar interpretation to consider, but.....let's see and listen. Life goes on, the world is still turning 😊.

There must be 100 "Prelude, Cadence & Finale" posts on YT - some of them very respectable, many amateur (which is, of course, charming ...) but your contribution is a performance by Jean Marie Londeix. BINGO !!!!!! and thank you very much.

kgmacd imo greatest classical player in history. Better than mule, however I think he was more ifluential.

@@IXpressThruSaxophone I think Mule has a fluidity and and gracefulness of line that is incomparable. But Londeix has an amazing richness of tone.

@@IXpressThruSaxophone sinta, teal, rascher, mcalister , sampen , all warrant mention in that debate. hemke, rousseau etc . by influential, if you mean commissioning pieces, developing teaching techniques etc, that would be sigurd rascher HANDS DOWN . for pure playing i'd take sinta followed by londeix . btw mule is pronounced like the animal, not moo-lay as some say it. look how old all these guys live to be. mule 101, rascher 93, most 83+. the opposite of jazz where we lost parker at 34, dolphy at 36, coltrane at 40...
