    I love the fact that you, Derek, appreciate so much Jean-Jacques Goldman. I'm not surprised because of your youth (my nephews, who are 17, 15, and 13 years old, are fans) , but because you're not French. Til now I had never "met" anyone who's not French and knows Jean-Jacques Goldman. I particularly appreciate the fact that you really understand his work, his art. ❤️❤️❤️

    Try hearing that song in a concert, it was magic. Like, the famous "moment" with the music and the clip joining, the "tic tac" of the time passing by and when FINALLY, IT HAPPENS (Not spoiling what)? It's just amazing, I still remember the screams of happiness in the crowd.

    As you, Dereck, I especially like the synth arpeggios and arrangements. 🎹 It reminds me "Envole-moi" a bit. The lyrics are interesting too. An ode to simple people doing their job with consciousness and, in result, make our lives better.

    Michael Jones and Goldman Know each Others since the end of the 70's, they were in the same band "tai Phong" ( Song "sister Jane"). When Goldman sang solo, he worked with Michael Jones and other musicians he kept all along His career.

    Good suggestion. I rarely like live versions but this one delivers. (I think live versions are meant to be experienced. And recording sounds from a concert is always a challenge)

    His lives are always something. It really brings something new, compared to the studio version. So it changes everything and you re-discover the songs. My favorite lives are "Et l'on y peut rien", "Ensemble" and "Envole-moi". I'd like to see your react to these !

    I don't know if anyone has commented on this yet, but Jean-Jacques Goldman started out with the group Tai Phong in the mid-seventies in case Dereck looks at it and gives us his impressions of Tai Phong's "Sister Jane".

    Michael Jones is working with Jean Jacques Goldman since the beginning of his solo career in early 80's (they were in the same group Thai Phong before). Seeing Fredericks could not be impossible since she was a backing vocalist of jean jacques since middle of 80's et paticipate to JJG album," Entre gris clair et gris fonçé" and "Il changeait la vie" comme from this album!
