Jean was also powerful in X Men Evolution the cartoon . Jean in X Men Evolution her power grew stronger & she beat up Mystique hard for what she did to Cyclops . Loved seen Wanda in X Men Evolution .

⁠@@Nunya_Business536That’s correct. Her telepathy is Omega level, and her telekinesis is Alpha level. With her telepathy, she can communicate with her mind beyond the range of the planet, whereas Xavier needs Cerebro to amplify his powers enough to target people on the planet. Her telekinesis is indeed Alpha level. Alpha level is the most powerful regular mutant class (Omega level mutants are incredibly rare and particular exceptions that transcend the mutant power scale). The telekinesis is still exceptionally powerful though. She is to telekinesis what Xavier is to telepathy (Xavier is an Alpha level telepath).

I think the comics imply that she’s both omega level telepath and telekinetic. There was a comic issue where rogue touched her to borrow some of her powers and she said something like “two omega lvl telekinetic are better than one”? But that’s just rogue talking and idk

@@Nunya_Business536Let me clarify: For an immensely powerful mutant that is the primary avatar of the Phoenix (as well being presented as _being_ the Phoenix based on the writer of the time), I just personally think it makes sense to have her telekinesis be Omega level too.

@@venteanari i would also like to believe that all of their combined powers are capable enough, but this is a big ass asteriod being pulled in by earth's gravity so imagine how unstoppable that is.

I only just realized this by watching this video, but there's a callback to the flashback where Xavier meets Jean. Jean says "They say I think too much" and Charles answers with "All I do is think too." But later on, when Jean re-emerges as Phoenix, she tells Sinestro "All I do is think" as well. I might just be reaching but I just wanted to point that out

A lot of stuff like this , like when Rogue catching the men when all of them are falling , she said “it’s catching the X-men day “ , that’s a throwback too

Finally a portrayal that gets Jean is more than fainting after lifting a fork with her mind and moaning “Scott!” This show had no right being so good 😂

And Jean was an absolute powerhouse! I think the best version of Scott and Jean as individual characters as well as their relationship was portrayed the best in Evolution. But we had a lot of time over four seasons to see their character development. I hope we get at least four (good quality and well written) seasons of XM97 to see how Jean grows here as well!

@@arc7375 and that's already an uneven distribution. Xavier (and Magneto) purposely sought out powerful mutants with combative abilities to begin with. Hence why the X-Men are revered in their mutantdom... most mutants have useless abilities and just have deformities, making it even more sense why Genosha was so easily decimated by a Prime Sentinel

the only thing missing was the "fascinating" line ,the Beast used to say when the Phoenix rised the last time xD xD !Jean was portrayed AMAZING this season!!Sseems like the writers ,producers etc heard what the fans wanted over the years from the classic X-MEN series and did an amazing job with her!!!overall X-MEN 97 earned a place place alongside the classic series from the 90's

I felt bad for Jean… her husband fathered a child with the wrong woman, and now Nathan’s existence is a permanent reminder of that. In fact, we don’t even know if Cyclops really is her husband because we don’t know when she got switched. That’s a bad hand to get dealt.

Actually, if you watch episode 3 again, when Madelyne is reading Jean's mind, her memories are until she gets married to Scott. It's a clue when she was switched.

@@pamelahermano9298 x-men 97 episode 3. After Jean came back with the X-men. Madelyne read Jean's mind and her memories finished until she married to Scott. in the original series, when Jean married Scott, she was kidnapped by Mister Sinister and there you can intuit that she was switched.

Before she couldn't even move a cup of coffee without fainting.

That's not the character's fault. That's the OG showrunners' fault. They turned her into a joke similar to what they did with Invisible Woman, Scarlet Witch and Spider-Woman in the 90s animated cartoons.

the last fight from episode 10 where there were Jean, Storm and Rogue completely proved that these three gals and their powers combine could definitely annihilate those enemies

So glad this version of Jean finally starts getting her due. They did better with her in later adaptations like X-Men: Evolution, but the OG show is always going to be the one people remember the most, so it was unfortunate that Jean's portrayal was one of its few big blunders. Hope she continues to be awesome in the new seasons.

Girl that was her going through her and Madelyne’s memories😭😭, Jean grey doesn’t have any time powers, she only has telekinesis and telepathy and all abilities that you see her perform are derived from those two. She only has extra abilities over reality when she’s possessed/imbued with the Phoenix force
