It's always the people closes to you. Strangers rarely are jealous, they have no need to, but that sibling, cousin, "friend", co worker, and spouse/partner are the people we need to take heed to. They call you to "check" on you, invite you to dinner, come to your home all in the name of "peace". Don't let your inner circle fool you. The difference between a "friend"and an enemy is time. The difference between someone you love and someone who hates you is opportunity, stay conscious.

"All of us are being watched by somebody" girlll, it's so true. everyone has that one thing that glows about them that people can't take it. Confidence. A lot of people will see that in you and get intimidated.

It's such a learning process. What is for you, is for you. Be grateful. With jealousy you can get everything you want and it will either get taken away or go unnoticed because you are too busy watching everyone else. Being content with your portion...We all struggle with this...comparison...jealousy, same thing. It is evil...this is why I stay off social media...because I can't with the comparison.

Bria Barrows, you're such a smart young woman. You know exactly how this goes. We must be content with what we have and where we are in life. Too many people lose focus on their life watching others lives. Jealousy is an emotion that's deceptive at times because someone will be jealous or envious of someone not knowing the full back story to why they have what they have. Sometimes they didn't even get what they got legally or the right way. We see the glitz and glamour but don't know sometimes the person that has these nice things are struggling to keep it.

Girl, I have been jealous and I'm like where did that come from? It happens, but you gotta check it. Fill yourself up so you don't even have time to watch other people. This is why people shouldn't underestimate the time they have alone to find themselves and be content with their portion. When you are lost and aren't satisfied that's when you want to look over the fence. And social media has just made this worse...

Bria Barrows that's so true. Social media has turned people into depressed, jealous, competitive, miserable, confused and lonely individuals. Someone will see one pic, take it and run with it believing something that may be a complete lie or gross exaggeration. Especially the couple photos!!! I can't tell you how many people are shouting "relationship goals" based off a photo of a couple from Facebook or Instagram. When we are busy doing what we do there is no time to focus on others. At different times and Seasons whatever is due to us will come. If we don't have certain things I strongly believe that it's not our time, or it's not meant for us.

I know I'm single cuz I aint ready for no relationship. I can't even take care of myself never mind someone else...lol These days I'm having my quiet times with the Lord, listening to sermons, trying to attain the knowledge I need to fight off any attacks. As a woman, your alone time is so needed, just to get your mind and self esteem right. I'm hearing about all these young women I know getting pregnant...and its like...where are we going as a community?

This is true. You hit the nail on the head. Jealous people will quietly sit back, watch and study you, trying to see how they stack up against you, and to find something wrong with you. And as soon as they feel like they are not good enough, that green monster comes out! I deal with them with a long handled spoon, as they can be quite dangerous to deal with. On the flip side, I try not to let my insecurities get the best of me to the point of jealousy. Love this message!

Shay4YourMind81, jealousy will come out of the very people you have around you unexpectedly. Sometimes it's so subtle you can miss it. I learned that jealousy isn't about how you look, what you have , or what you've accomplished. Sometimes it's just because you're everything the jealous person is not. I have a friend that is always mad and will cut me off for no reason. Every time I turn I turn around this girl is mad at me or complaining and finding fault in me. It took me yrs to see she's obviously jealous. That's not normal to always complain and find something wrong with someone. When people do this the root is almost always insecurity and jealousy.

These people really need to work out whatever is causing them to feel the need to compare themselves to others. Shay4YourMind81, that's so true. I have expeirenced and seen some very jealous and evil people doing crazy stuff to try and hurt somebody. I instantly knew the root of their behavior was jealousy. I trust a person who can openly admit they're jealous over a person that denies they're jealous but I know it's in them.

Jealousy will ruin your life. you will concentrate so much on others that you dont have time to build your own self up and the proper way.

Thank you for this video. I don't understand why women are so jealous of each other. We should be encouraging one another to be the best person we can be. I had a woman At work turn on me. One day we were cool and the next day she acted like she had nothing to say to me. Turns out that the guy who used to laugh with her and give her attention, suddenly wanted to holla at me. I think he made it known to her. So she acted so distant from me. I don't know what was up. He came after me. He told me that she never liked me and that she was jealous of me. Now I look back and I wonder if he was physically intimate with her. Who knows but anyway jealous y is something else.

d g I believe she may have been intimate with him as well as jealous of you. Out the blue for her to turn against you was for a reason. If that man likes you it wasn't your fault. If she wasn't tied to him outside of just being cordial or flirty, she wouldn't have gotten upset when he showed interest in you.

That is the truth. This is why I spoke on this. When someone hates you they will do whatever they can to try and hurt you or change others perception of you. Spreading vicious rumors is one of the worst things I've seen and experienced by the hands of a jealous person. Men and women have done it and it's so sad.

It is hurtful when lies are told on you and others believe them. Sometimes people want a reason to dislike you so they will do numerous things for justification to dislike you. God will vindicate you though and the people who lie about you will get their punishment for doing wrong.

I once read it’s way easier for someone to try to pull you down to their level than it is for them to work up to your level. Rem jealousy is Love and Hate at the same time. I like this video. I've always struggled with jealousy. However, I never struggled with jealousy based off money, cars, houses, spouses until I became older. I guess when you're young, you have a great deal of potential. So when you don't have anything as a kid, it is not your fault. When you get older, the pressure is on to make a life for yourself. You're in control. So if you're do have certain things in your life, it is your fault. The thing I don't like about the Bible, is I feel like the Bible tells us not be jealous, but they don't list ways to get over that jealousy. I am not hear to take away from the Bible and its teachings. I am just venting. Yes, you can pray, but that is not always efficient. Prayer doesn't help me. Not once have I prayed and felt comfort. I think I have prayed and gotten wisdom on certain things. However, I just stay jealous. Not be disrespectful, but thinking in terms of that person has a big house, but he or she might be struggling to keep the lights on, only feeds jealousy for me. It is like, I have to tell myself something negative about that person, in order to feel better about their success. Half the time, that may not be true. Like you said, they could be doing very well. I just want to be at a place in my life where I am so happy and content, I don't have to envy others, I don't have to look back, I can just face the future. I don't think that will ever be a reality. I like your videos. It is comforting hearing certain perspectives from a woman of color. We know each other's struggles.

V Williams, wow I absolutely love your honesty and transparency! That's so awesome you commented being so open. I have much respect for you. I totally agree with you as far as the Bible not explaining how to get over jealousy. Furthermore, I get how the world makes us feel like that at a certain age in adulthood we should have certain things. When we don't we're looked at as being lazy, non productive and not hard working. V don't be discouraged! There are steps you can take in order to rid yourself of jealousy. The first is understanding that you're exactly where you need to be. Even if to others you look like you're behind you're in the right place. I believe in time we each get things and live the life we want depending on where we are mentally, and spiritually. Also, the level of maturity we have plays a big part on how we can handle certain things. Some ppl can handle having a huge house or luxury car but for others it's overwhelming if gotten prematurely. The thing I want everyone to know is what you may not have at this moment doesn't necessarily mean you're denied. It just means at this time for different reasons it's not your time. Trust me when I tell you that some ppl are good at faking and pretending like they have a luxurious life, marriage, relationship, children, job and finances but behind the scenes they have to do so many things to keep the appearance of perfection up. I believe once you fully understand that things take time, and some things you don't have because it's something bigger and better for you, then your struggle with jealousy will end.

Pray and ask God to deliver you we can't do it by will power alone but confess, repent and trust and believe God to deliver us, be happy for others and pray to The Father for what you need and desire bcuz He is no respector of persons, he will bless you just as much according to His Perfect Will, and if it is Not His Perfect Will I don't need it and I don't want it k🤔? But We all have some emotional and spiritual issues that we need to be rid of and The Lord Already Knows that we need Him to deliver us from evil.🙄

I feel the negative side affects of jealousy. It started when I was forced to hear about someone else's blessings who was an azzwhole and I was compared and considered a bad person in comparison when the circumstances were entirely different and unfair. What I spoke about does hold much validity because the fact of the matter is that everyone isn't saved. I can't impose my beliefs on other people. Especially if they don't believe in the God I do. What God does in another person is no buisness of mine. But I must be realistic, whether my messages are powerful or not, backed by God or the best, there are still people who don't worship and believe in him. There's many different religions and cultures in the world and we must respect them. I don't know what God a viewer is worshipping but I can't automatically assume they're worshipping the God I am. This is why I said if some don't get down with God like that they still need to be reflecting and working on the spirit of jealousy. That's the thing about God, he anoints us to be able to appeal to all people not just believers. Before we try to tell anybody about our God we must respect and understand that everybody isn't for him but they'll still respect the God in us.

Christi Foster, thank you so much for being honest and transparent. Don't get discouraged, continue to pray and wait for your deliverance. You are good enough! Being happy with and where you are or how you look is key. Give it time.

My jealousy does not come from materialistic things... But I am jealous of my man's mother and sister... I know it's a horrible situation to put myself in because I did I put myself in this situation. But I constantly feel like I am competing for my man's love and attention with these two women. I have been told by the mother that "you can be gone real quick but I'm his mother and I'm here to stay forever and his sister and I will always be with my son but we don't know if you'll be here next year" We've been together for 4 years now and she has insulted me and my family and constantly questions our relationship to her son. Now the little sister is the prized possession of the whole family she is smart and a beautiful dancer and everyone stops what they're doing to go and attend all of her recitals. I really adore his little sister I feel that she is not a bad person but her mother influences her against me and I can feel tension Rising between us and now I feel jealous of the fact that she is so smart and so beautiful so charismatic she has everything going for her. I am happy for her but I can't help but think that my man looks up to these women more than he looks up to me and it hurts. Please tell me is this me I know I need to fix me I need to work on me I don't know what to do

June Jara -.- I appreciate your honesty and transparency. It takes guts to admit how you really feel. You're feeling this way because your boyfriend is giving more attention to his family. This is causing you to be insecure. Believe it or not it's very common. What you must do is tell your boyfriend you need more of his attention and affection. Let him know you feel left out and like his relationship with his mother and sister overshadows you guys relationship. His mother is not making things any better with saying the things she is. His mother sounds like she is insecure and jealous of your relationship with her son! Any mother that's secure wouldn't constantly throw her relationship with her child/children in the other half face. I don't think you're really jealous. I just think you require and need more attention from your man. He needs to also have a conversation with his mom about how she speaks to you. Demand respect while maintaining a level of respect for her. Your guy love's you and his mom but with different intensities. When you start to feel upset remember that you're the prize and no less than his mother or sister. At the end of the day he chooses to be with you no matter how mom feels. He's been with you for 4 years. That speaks volumes!!!

Sometimes what you see on other ppl has a backstory that would blow you away. This is why sometimes jealousy can be deceitful.

My dad was jealous of his wife's daughters picture because it had my dads wife ex husband in the picture. He didn't approve of the picture because of with the ex husband in it. My dad's wife said she liked it because her daughter was in it not because of her ex & my dad went off the deep end about it & got mad because of it, I think it's silly for him to be like that because it's only a picture. He is a very jealous person why I don't understand.

Jealously is a terrible thing some people thrive on it, there's definitely a lot of insecurities there my dad is taking out on his wife & he shouldn't because it's not her daughters fault or her fault. He has always been like this even when my mom was alive. Jealousy will run people away he needs to take that into consideration indeed. God bless you sister ♥🌷
