at a time where the paparazzi in the french speaking world were hunting her down by flaming for literally nothing but clueless opinions on, again, nothing, she had no idea how much her work and her whole being as an artist meant to other people. it hink this is one of the moments she got to realise this, especially, because they are not singing: i love you, which is the translation, they are singing WE love you.

What's particularly impressive to me is, she was moved to tears, yet solidered on singing, and while she had to improvise her song around that of the audience, it still sounded great. She could have just let them get on with it and listened in awed silence, but responded in kind. You just know that if the meter of the lyrics allowed her to sing "Je vous aime", she probably would have done it. She even finished strong, even if she stuttered on the finish line (which made it all the more moving).

I may be mistaken, but isn't Lara delaying her line 'Je t'aime', so they fans can sing 'On t'aime' first and that way she can respond to them.

This 1st performance is not her best , she is not totally into unlike most of performances . I reckon that the choice of instruments (guitare and beats) are not great for such lyrics and feelings to be conveyed.

So lovely; the crowd singing "we love you" to her as she sings "I love you". You will definetely enjoy "je suis malade" from Lara with subs (Live in 1999 or something)

You don’t need to know the lyrics to appreciate Lara’s beautiful voice. I have not got a clue about anything she is singing but I do appreciate her.

If that doesn’t bring tears, you need a heart transplant.

The pianist being accomplice to her fan club, he stopped in the middle of the intro. Hence Lara's shocked look. "Why has my pro, experienced, trusted, long time pianist stopped playing ?"

One thing I just feel the need to point out, is that in all her videos she leaves herself exposed in her body language. She never has her arms crossed in front of her or in any way tries to "protect" herself. She leaves herself vulnerable to deliver every song honest and raw. And in this video she does the same thing. But how easy it would have been and also how forgivable it would have been for her to feel so overwhelmed that she might put her head down to hide her face or perhaps cross her arms in front of her to deal with the experience of this whole crowd comforting her because they are aware of such personal and private struggles. But she doesn't. She just stands there, exposed, raw, honest, and allows herself to both receive the intention of the audience and to feel the joy and sadness of the moment without censoring herself or hiding her feelings in any way.
