Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this tool so far. I look forward to seeing it ‘in action’ diagnosing some real issues. Best wishes.

I liked the latch function on the probe, to hold power on, with my power probe I have to keep hold of it. Cheers Matt

I found different voltage reading when I compared with a volt meter or power probe. I wanted to rely on what I used. Also the scope was limited as you would expect for the price, the best part about it was the latch function to hold power on or pulse power at the tip. Another thing was the 0 to 5 volt sensor simulator was in 0.5 volt steps that some times wouldn't allow me to get the voltage right where I wanted it, I do that to see if I can clear a fault code if I have a faulty part, so I know the new part will fix the problem. The red and green led lights didn't come on in the same way they do with the power probe. There wasn't anything wrong with the power probe 3 other than it just showed volts so I decided to go with what I know and trust and now have a power probe 4.

Hi, do you know if it can measure current draw while giving power to something? Say for example if you used it to power a blower motor or wiper motor would it tell you how much current the motor is drawing? Thanks.

Can continuity test be done with smartkook? For example, if we take a cable in our hands, can we detect that the cable is broken inside?

I agree, you have three tools that will do the job properly, rather than one tool trying to do all three jobs. I think that's why I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Thanks for watching and your comment.

The fuse is in the ground lead so the only protection is when the ground lead is used when activating something. I don't have mine anymore, I preferred the power probe. Thanks for watching

absolute rubbish. a very poor copy of the amerian hook .which is superior build.more expensive but very reliable.what a shame, i thought i would give it a good test. looked good but kept turning off amd different readings to the hook verified with an avo meter.

I ended up giving mine away, I decided that one tool was trying to do too much. I now prefer to use a power probe, when I need a scope I now use a scope. Thanks for your in put, it is appreciated 👍 I don't have a hook, I'll look into that. Cheers Matt
