Alright mate, I’m trying to do mine and it says wait for the fans to kick in, but they won’t kick in. No code for temp sensor 🤙🏻
Good job👍

Good job. I can recommend a company called : ECU Testing if you get a board/driver you can't fix yourself. Another mechanic recommended me to them and they are very professional and reasonable price too. I sent them a older VAG ecu with suspected intermittent immobilizer problems recently for test , they picked it up, tested it confirmed a fault in line with what I thought, repaired it it and sent it back within a week, at sub £180 guaranteed for life, I was impressed TBH. Getting new pins/plugs is a major problem for me, I have started keeping and stripping old plugs and connectors and throwing them in a box for spares. HTH.
Brilliant fix matt saved the customer a good couple of quid 👍👍
@@mrautoservices7354 thanks for watching mate, trying to get more into the diagnostics than mechanical work due to osteoporosis in my shoulders. Cheers
@@mechanicmatt871 Sorry to hear that bud, List yourself as an auto electrician instead of mechanical online etc. Thats is how i get all of my diagnostic work as most garages that dont know how to fix something just say it needs an auto electrician anyway 👍
@@mrautoservices7354 your right it's surprising how many mechanics aren't interested in diagnostics.

Nice repair! Why were all the dash lights flashing
@@chubbychequer1512 it looks like that on the camera, although in the car the lights don't appear to be flashing, it must be something to so with the camera. Cheers Matt
This was a cool one. Cheers.

I’ve just had a similar problem on an Audi a4. Main relay control circuit. Pin a7 was rotted away. Done the exact same repair 👍🏻🇬🇧
@@mikeyp1977 that's great, keeping the cars on the road without replacing expensive parts. Thanks for watching

Hello Matt. Good video, thankyou. Where is the filter and is it easy to replace? I have an A5 2012 130kw auto cvt.
@@benpennington it doesn't have a filter
I’ve got the Citroen Nemo 1.3 hdi 75hp from 2011 and I just got a leak on pressure in the rail. I’m taking some days to fix it and clean the injectors and test them. Code p0090 on pressure regulator. Any suggestion?
What a total stupid design german car are shit to work on.
Wish this was my issue, $3,650 dollars later got a new turbo and actuator and sensor all replaced. Very costly and now I am gonna probably have to replace the DSG dual mass flywheel.
If you swap that circuit board from the replacement for the one on your car does that avoid the need for putting in codes and reprogramming? Thanks.
That's correct, thanks for watching
brilliant thankyou
When does the pump turn on ?

Hi Matt. Thanks for the video! Curious if you have any idea about where to start on an S40 with all of the following symptoms that started simultaneously after the car was shut off and then turned back on: 1. The wipers run constantly and will not stop. 2. The locks/electronic window controls do not function (on any doors) 3. The blinkers will not work (but hazards do) My suspicion is that there is some central relay somewhere that controls all these peripherals? Any information appreciated. Thanks again.
I would be looking at fault codes and live data, seeing if when I press switches that the data changes. Looking at a body control module possible. Hard to say without seeing the car
Nice to see a new upload Matt we have missed them 👍👍 Hope all is well Cheers
Thanks mate, I'm good thanks, not managed to record anything lately. Cheers Matt
Good to see you back Matt another quality repair there 🤙
Thanks Kevin
Good to see you back Matt. Cheers Mate 🍻
Thanks mate
Hi Matt. I have sent a message to you via Facebook in regards to a clutch and flywheel replacement bud 👍
Great to see you back matt., like the little press you have must be very handy doing mobile work. Thanks for sharing👍
great job matt. nice tidy press for these jobs .
Thanks, it's helped me out a few times now. Thanks for watching
Yey matts back. Hope everything is going good 👍🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧
Handy hub tool. Another tool to add to my Xmas list 👍
It's been ok, it even worked on a transit, although it suffer some dents getting the transit wheel bearing off. Cheers mate
It was great to see another video from you! I've been searching, even though im subscribed just in case i missed one. Great work as always, keep them coming, and I hope you and the family are all well 💪💪
Thanks for your support 🙏
Good to see a new video from you. How do you find those uspro impact torx sockets to be? I got a set of master pro ones from ECP and they twisted to a spiral!
Every brand I have used has twisted like that, I have started heating the screw head with mapp gas first when they don't come out easily. Cheers
Good to see you brother. Very calming watching you work and you've convinced me to get that press I've been eyeing up.😅
Thanks for watching mate, I used a big hammer and old sockets before getting this little press, it's such easier now, and looks better when the customer is watching. Cheers Matt
Nice to see you again. Great job as always.

Matt where are you based?
I'm now based in Cornwall
How long you have to let wynn in it for ?
I left it over night then flushed it out
Cheers that was very clear I am learning, now i can rely on my Dad all the time to talk to the mechanic about my vrs mk1 👍
I have a similar problem, reading a communication error and no stop/start. Would a parasistic drain also be a symptom?
Not always a symptom, usually a weak battery or faulty alternator will stop the stop start
Well explained

She looks smart.

Hello....i have a Skoda Octavia superb 2009 ...2.0 engine .....all the windows didn't working....all inside light didn't work....i try to find the module control to change it but i didn't found it
Hey mechanic. I bought a used ecu with matching part numbers. But when I opened up the donor ecu (bought used), I didn’t see an eight legged eprom chip in it. But there is a space where it looks like it’s supposed to be there. The thing is… the used one I bought had put a warranty seal on it. And I broke that seal just to see if I could get the eprom chip. 2011 a3 8p is the car. Any thoughts? Thanks!
That is strange, some ECUs don't have an EEPROM chip, the coding is in the processor next to it.
Is this the one you traced to the central Gateway module?
Yes it is that one
Hi great vid cpuod they have done that for a intermitant problem with the original fuse as mine keeps cutting out intermitantly and not getting fuel through cheers
What a legend, too bad I found out the hard way, 5g later found out it's the map sensor 😅 and the sensors don't like deep water, I don't know who built the kun26 but a 3L/5L turbo diesel was a better idea.
Excellent Work Sir
