I’ll 2nd that! Was so frustrated with the sound of my 2020 jcw so got a res delete and can even get the odd pop and bang . Love it.

AHH nice didn't know how good it was for the LCI model due to it having an opf which can be removed but is alot harder work.

I would agree with you, best budget option and super good one at that

Got a 2020 JCW LCI and really want to change the exhaust!! What do you suggest that won’t bother emissions, warranty etc….

I installed the JCW Tuner Kit on my 18’ F55 S. From what I understand an “open valve system” such as the JCW and Remus adds Hp when open (effectively a straight pipe). This time around wanted more than a muffler and resonator delete. I love the sound flap open on mid. The system sounds like a Porsche. -However the JCW kit also includes the ECU flash which brings it up to more tq than a stock JCW. 19’s may be the last year to take the tune.

@@Cars_and_adventures parts/installation came to under $1700. They offered a Veterans discount that I was eligible for, which helped. Being under factory warranty was the Cherry on top. -I will say anytime you look at a “full” exhaust system that’s turbo/catback, it will be pricey. That’s why mufflers and resonator deletes are usually preferred.

@@davebarrow4460 I'm amazed they still sell them. But I disagree. The pro exhaust also doesn't sound as good as the resonator delete. And it's still 10 times the price of a resonator delete

@Mini and Adventure sound is all an opinion. But as mentioned, the tune and badging and certification are worth the extra money in my option . It also holds a better resale value.

nice sound! did you delete just the resonator or the 2nd cat as well?

Opf delete and remap. Cost about £800 however you can't update your car or take it to mini. Unfortunately

Had a Resonator Delete (mid box)on my 2015 Mini Cooper S F56 for about 18 months £90 fitted back then it's loud enough in sports mode and passed it's MOT fine,there's one other main thing about doing the delete instead of buying the JCW's Pro exhaust which has the ugly exhaust flap open or closed it looks stupid IMO.

What's it like round town day to day , don't want it sound muggie?

Mine came with standard as I’ve got the challenge 210 yes it’s a copper s but sounds amazing

You mean yours came with the pro exhaust. But yeah the challenge 210 is different to a cooper s.

Where’s this box? I have a 2024 JCW and the pro exhaust isn’t available anymore

2024 doesn't have a mid box as it has an opf filters which reduces emissions and noise unfortunately. I do say In the video anything after 2019 you can't do this unfortunately 😓

No I believe I did say on the video but just the resonator. Black box delete is too loud for everyday use

Did your check engine light come on?

No not at all. Will only do this if you remove your opf

It pops and bangs if you put it in sport mode

@@Cars_and_adventures Hi mate, this is not accurate for the JCW models. JCWs are fitted with GPFs from 2019 onwards. There is about a 6 month period in 2018 (March to September I believe) where JCWs came with some exterior LCI updates, the LCI interior, and no GPF filter.

Over here there are still some new JCW's for sale... so they'll have no choice but to get the pro exhaust I assume (if they wana keep warranty)

@@twistedsanity623 the new JCWs don't have a resonator so you can't do it anyway. This trick is only available for cars before mid 2018

To be fair, there’s not many affordable cars that you can buy which comes with a performance exhaust as the optional. And besides this exhaust modification I don’t see any other that’s gonna give you this kind of wow factor. 7AM Starts, on a cold British winter morning, WITH no resonator let’s see how much scratches you find on your car over time from the neighbours. 👀

I have a work van so I rarely start my car early in the morning. It is annoying though however saving £1400 on the pro exhaust was definitely worth it. Also my car sounds better than the pro exhaust the rear box gives makes it a little more raspy !

WRONG - BUY IT. ITS EPIC AND SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN.
