Fantastic video. Helped me to reset my speaker. Now I'm back to blasting my beats on my favourite speaker.

My JBL only worked while being plugged in, thought the battery has given up. But after the reset everything worked again as it should, thanks for the advice! 👍👍

My Xtreme shuts off when I push the connect button. I can't connect to other speakers. Reset by pushing the button combinations isn't helping. Does anyone else have these problems too? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Is their a way to get the old software back because the software update messed my speaker up?

The combo bluetooth + vol up makes my flip Essential do a forced reset, it keeps off about a minute then it does a power cycle sounds, then press power button once

reset the xreme 2 by holding down the 'connect' and 'up' buttons until it powers off. my speaker was unresponsive after being in my suitcase. I suspect it had a button held down or something in transit. Nothing would work but it *would* power up when plugged in and power down when unplugged. like "the lights were on but nobody was home". Good Joe's suggestion below worked like a charm. Tech support didn't even know so I sent my result to them too. I am stoked, thanks @goodJoe

salvou minha vida... a minha Xtreme estava chiando muito no vol maximo, pensei que estava com os subs estragados... nao sabia que ela tinha esses nivels de equalização própria... agora ja voltei para o nivel intermediário e voltou a ficar ótima como era antes, graves e agudos equilibrados.... antes estava com ganho de grave maior isso no vol maximo dava uma chiadeira so....

Press bluetooth button again when your jbl is on

If your JBL Xtreme only turns on whilst plugged in like mines did, dont panic, all you have to do is plug it in so it turns on, and hold the JBL CONNECT button beside the power button, and volume up, until the fifth light flashes red, then unplug the speaker and press the power button, I thought the battery was just finished but it wasnt, very happy

The volume down three times is irrelevant if the phone and speaker are synced, which mine are and most phones do nowadays. He’s just setting the speaker at the gain where it’s not going to push too hard and distort. With the volume synced, the gain stages are ideal 👍 Thanks for the “secret mode” bass cut info though!

I've got a problem with my jbl xtreme speaker when its off turn on button is working but after that any of the buttons aren't working. Exept play/stop button which is working as turn off button giving kind of "boom" sound after pressing. Plz help i tried to discharge it completly and charge it again fully, even restet combination doesnt work...

OSCAR BASSDJ this usually happens when there is a battery problem, my 20min time, I sent the speaker to jbl and they changed the battery, now it works fine

André Mangseth It is called low frequency mode and works on different frequencies, normally highlights the lows in the other way the high ones

I have the JBL flip 4 and it plays music for like 10 mins then it just stops the music is still going but I can’t hear nothing I turn it on and off and connect back but you still can’t hear nothing Anything I can do ?

Wendy Lorenzo try to reset the speaker or, with warranty, jbl can repair your speaker, you can talk with jbl support 😉

lol found this about 6 years late but sure. Didn't know that it has a bass cut setting. Also CONNECT button and volume up will disable internal battery. (U will need to connect cable power afterwards) to turn the internal battery back on.

Mine is showing that it's charged but suddenly turns off. I can turn it on again but as as I play some music it turns off again

If you go in secret mode .whil it stay in secret mode evwn if you turned it off and on because idk if it is on or not. Because en whas in stereo mode and a friend of me turned secret mode on and idk if it automaticly turnes on om the one of me.

Every time you turn off the jbl returns to its normal state/mode :)

Albaro Canaviri for the reset you have to do volume up button and bluetooth button but it's risky to do it when it is attached to the current, if you have the warranty jbl change or repair your speaker free, they repaired mine and now it works fine

artixus mmm i didn't see too good reviews on the speaker, for the price doesn't have a great sound quality and seems to have less basses than the jbl xtreme, when you have the megablast tell me how it is

Ich habe ein Problem mit meiner jbl extreme...: Wenn ich mich mit der Box verbinde und auf Lautstärke 10/10 mache geht das auch. Wenn ich dann ein anderes handy mit der XTreme verbinde kann es auch auf Stufe 10 abspielen. Wenn ich jedoch auf Stufe 3 zB Musik abspiele und DANN ein Gerät verbinde kann es nur zwischen 0-3 die Lautstärke ändern. Hat jemand eine idee? Ein reset ist nicht möglich.

Every single JBL speaker I've bought stopped working after a year or two. They sound good but the batteries suck and they're not easy to replace.

Are you sure this mode won't harm my Xtreme? Maybe it's used by the manufacturer for maintenance reasons.

Mohammed Qaid This is a thing made by jbl, so it should be safe, I recommend you never switch on continuously so as not to stress too much the speaker😉

CoCo M Probably a factory or software problem, I would recommend contacting the Jbl service center, for what I know are few people to have this problem

Nik thanks for your reply. It's really annoying because this was a replacement that I got from my warranty. They couldn't fix my charge 2 so sent me a Charge 3. Now this one I've had for barely 6 months and the sound went funny so I reset it. Now it won't turn on :( are there any more hidden features that you know?

Hola amigo soy de argentina quisiera una ayuda tengo un Jbl Xtreme lo compre hace unos meses ahora me pasa la batería esta cargada le pongo la música dentro de unos 40 minutos se apaga solo. Noce como solucionarlo y cuando le conecto el cargador por unos segundos y luego normal se prende por fa noce si podes ayudarme amigo más antes funcionaba todo bien por favor una ayuda. Roger Vargas A veces el jbl tiene problemas con la batería, el mío comenzó después de un año sin ir, el jbl siempre tiene 2 años de garantía, llamé al soporte jbl en mi país, busqué el número en google y me mostraron un centro de ayuda que podría dirigirle, vaya con el recibo (incluso una copia está bien) y lo arreglan de forma gratuita, pero lleva alrededor de un mes, también depende del tipo de problema😉
