From this video clip, The Extreme 3 seems to hit harder with the bass and is more dynamic. That's what I'm hearing

Я думаю, если предполагается активная эксплуатация на улице - без вариантов брать Xtreme3, т.к. она защищенная, хороший аккумулятор, есть ремень через плечо, встроенный пауэрбанк и даже открывашка для пива (!!!). Если же эксплуатировать почти все время в помещении - то предпочтительнее OnyxStudio - звук у нее все-таки чуть лучше. Но в таком случае я бы взял стационарные колонки от Edifier.

I like the Harman/kardon but i feel it needs more volume for its size.

A 100 watts speaker only produces 10 to 12% more volume compared to a 50 watts speaker. It's somewhat a logarithmic value. A 100 watts speaker produces around 2 times more volume compared to a 10 watts speaker while having same power effiency.

it has a low frequenz Mode lower bass higher volume or plugin to a powerbank with 60W 20V 3A than you have the ultimate Harman Kardon Onyx

We measured both these speakers sensitivities in lab and we measured the hk onyx studio 8's sensitivity is rated at 88 dB, 1W @ 1m whereas the JBL Xtreme 3's sensitivity is measured and rated at 86.4 dB, 1W @ 1m. Hence we conclude that if we feed the hk onyx 8 with 70 to 75 watts of power via the amp; it will be equal in Continuous power to JBL Xtreme 3.

I have the HK studio 8 n believe me,don't think twice go for it...the sound quality the clarity and the bass..JBL is no match,I have used both ​@Electrifize

I think the onyx 8 sound clean and refined vocals and high's. xtreme3 is loud and warm sound

It's funny how this is basically two siblings fighting... They both are Samsung sub brand now... I got a studio 7 for 150€ and I feel it was a good deal for the sub bass it got.

I am an audiophile .. I am really impressed by the onyx studio 8 .. it's mids are so natural .. no colouration nothing ..pure mid ..jbl sounds so bright .. Typical v shaped sound .. no warmness .. it gives a false sense of clearity by pushing the upper mid range too much .. its too bright and metallic

@@GAMERMX366go for onyx bro, the onyx has more refined tune sound. These 2 speaker it feels like quality vs practicallity. Extreme is more portable which means its pracitcal but in term of quality of sound no doubt onyx wins. I have them both. In my room i always use onyx,

the sound direction of Onyx is upward.. while JBL is straight. if your mic is placed on the middle.. it will record differently.

hope you'll use music/sound with real instruments not electronic generated, the Base, Mids, Highs, vocals etc. will not be real.

Hola amigo, tengo una duda, tengo la Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8, pero escuche y e visto que la puedes ocupar tanto con batería o conectada a la luz y con esto aumenta su potencia considerablemente, mi pregunta es ¿No se daña la batería teniéndola conectada a la luz por periodos largos?. Realmente no vale mucho la pena comprarla para usarla desconectada, no tiene buena autonomia y pierde considerablemente potencia. Si lo que quieres es usar sin cables me iria por la jbl.

The Onyx 7 is a real eye-catcher, with high product quality and an enticing price of under USD 200. Unfortunately, due to the lack of an app and the strong bass boost, the set-up must be viewed as critical. That's why I would be particularly interested in the efficiency of the "self-tuning" of the Onyx Studio 8 in a comparison test. I am very satisfied with the JBL Extreme 3. For the bedroom, I replaced the Onyx Studio 7 with the LG XBOOM360 XO3Q.

for bass boost on Onyx 7 you do not need app if you have android, phones built in Eq will do that

You did not see the point. On my JBL Xtreme 3 I adjust the speaker with the JBL App in a general way. Those settings will be used for any device I will connect like phone, laptop, tablet or TV. With respect to JBL I trust that the JBL equalizer is considering the speaker specific Crossover Frequency between drivers to achieve an optimal adjustment. No "android based equalizer" can do this.

Onyx bass is super heavy and punchy

You can never compare Harman Kardon with JBL... Harman Kardon to JBL is a God to a human...

Yes little more and wider soundstage and better mids better tweeters plus it now charges via an AC cable

I prefer the expansive, clear, and open sound character of Onyx8. The Extreme 3 bass sounds solid and round, but its sound feels somewhat restrained.

The studio 8 performs way better…

Have both of these if you really want to enjoy your favorite song and music pick up the onyx 8. I only used the jbl outdoor bicycling and yeah in the Philippines you can play loud music while roaming around the neighborhood.

The plugged in boost only happens for OS4,boosted to 60w,and on battery is 30w,and the newer speakers are all mono speakers although at 50w,OS4 is the last with stereo speakers

@@juliancobain9970 Well, I hope so, But I doubt that. Because the HK rates power output is 50 Watts RMS whereas JBL Xtreme 3 rated power output is 100 Watts RMS. I know that the rated power output is not the only factor in measuring how loud the speaker gets but it is one of the key factors. I guess I should measure the HK SPL with db meter myself, rest assured how many dbs it outputs at max volume. Bad luck I don't own a JBL Xtreme 3 so I'd appreciate if someone posts it's max SPL in dbs at 1 meter.

Funny people around KZread, these 2 are simple the same materials only with a little different tuning and looks. 😂😂 And ive had them both, but kept the Jbl The Jbl sounds way more detailed and precise. People who says that the Harman blows the Jbl away are people who just looks at the price tags, and never owned them.

The Sonic quality alone is way better on HK Onyx Studio 8 but I doubt about loudness. Music gets muffled and veiled on JBL Xtreme 3.

MAN DO YOU NEED TO EXPOSE YOURSELF TO SOME REAL MUSIC! With musical instruments played by talented people, with beautiful vocals! Try starting with the remastered Beatles albums or some jazz or blues. Classical rock, and Classical music too. You will enjoy yourself more and (if you continue making videos) provide a service to your viewers. The music here is computer generated fake noise! Impossible to tell what these speakers are capable of.
