Picked up my Xtreme 2 today Loving it so far

I just got the extreme 2 , its superb ! Love it , can take it all over the house , brilliant bit of kit

I have the JBL Xtreme 1 camo too and I'm still loving it today.

I bought the extreme 2 and is really amazing, if you put in strategic places the bass explodes to double if not more! Not strong kick in open field, but very loud with good definition and very portable! Now I'm thinking about buy soundbooks 2 .. looks really amazing also !

I like that the x2 comes with a bottle opener. That is a cool detail.

Xtreme 2 sounds bit brighter, sparkling. It's great sounding, bass is many times more natural

I can't really hear it as good in the video as in person, but i feel like they fixed the distortion of the xtreme 1. The treble of the first one was not that great, it was loud, no doubt, but I think I like the approach of the xtreme 2 better. A bit lower volume but better and fuller bass and overall sound is fuller.

Pyronode yeh they did a year ago doesnt distort no more at 100% people who buy it need to update it..lowers bass tho

I think the reason why extreme 1 is louder than extreme 2 is because extreme 2 is waterproof. It’s sealed and water tight. that explains why the bass is deeper on extreme 2. Less insulation means louder sound, but doesn’t mean deeper bass sound. So if you want louder sound go with extreme 1. If you want deeper bass sound and waterproof go with extreme 2.

No. JBL Xtreme has 40w in AC mode/battery mode, and JBL Xtreme 2 has only 20w in battery mode and 40w in AC mode.

@@niklashimmel244 AC power from the Xtreme 2 is 20W that means 5+5 for bass and 5+5 for the tweeters. Xtreme 1 has 30W on battery - 10+10W for bass and for the tweeters it has 5+5W, they are the same 40W on the charger tho..

I just bought the Xtreme 1 on clearance for $150 new VS the usual $300 and it sounds amazing and gets plenty loud. Great low, mid, and high response for the money. Not ready to spend $300 on a Bluetooth speaker.

I just bought the xtreme 1 for 180€ new. Iam very happy becouse i can also connect my Flip 3 to it. I can recommend the xtreme 1 to everyone. And for that price you can’t get a better speaker. I am not ready to pay at least 300€ for a speaker which is not louder and has nearly any new features. Iam going with the xtreme 1 and iam happy :D

Jonas Poschmann you're so right. I also bought the Xtreme 1 for 170€, and I can guarantee you won't find a louder speaker for that price! I'm a sound enthusiast, and normally I would prefer the more refined, hifi tuning. But since my desaster with the JBL Flip 3, which couldn't even fill a 4 man tent with sound, I came to the conclusion that loudness is the most important thing when partying with your friends ;)

Ohh, i Bought about two weeks ago and battery are good no problems whit it

I think the xtreme 2 is more compressed which gives a more define sound rather than a distorted sound from xtreme 1.

I have a feeling that Extreme 1 has surpassed the power of Extreme 2. What do you particularly think? Even because you can hear the real sound of the two handsets. Thanks for the video.

Yes, i feel that too, the Xtreme 1 sounds louder than the Xtreme 2. I think it depends on the music now, to hear distortion on the 1, but the 2 doesn't have that. I have to find a good song for that.

Timo Siegwald I also believe in one or even more updates in order to stomp the Extreme firmware. They updated the charge 3 to connect with the conect + and the box lost substantially a bit of bass. So I really believe that good updates are what they get on the product.

Manuel Leone I also believe that it's better to be even lower in volume for now. Firmware updates are likely to change this easily. As I migrate from Flip 4 to this new Extreme to me it's going to be a nice breakthrough anyway. You can not complain, much less compare. There will be stocks in large quantities for sales from the end of June 2018 according to some information I have been reading.

I have the Xtreme 2 and it sounds MUCH better. Less harsh, deeper tight bass and no distortion. It’s on another level than the 1st version. Same sound signature as the boombox and they connect easily for party mode :)

ZARKI I think it is not louder but xtreme 2 sounds much smoother. Xtreme one only sounds harsher and not nice anymore on high volume.

hey,I asked JBL support for the DC(battery) power of xtreme 2,they said it is only 2x10watts,so yeah,xtreme 1 is louder ON BATTERY than xtreme 2.

I got my xtreme 1 for Black Friday 2017 for $150 I’m enjoying it.

Extreme 2 has nicer bass in my opinion, the old extreme sound a lil bit boxy but louder

so the xtreme 1 has louder bass at mid volume but when you put it full volume it distorts and also at low frequency it distorts? so with the xtreme 2 if i just use the EQ on my phone music app for more bass boost it will be louder and less distorted?

I have one question I compared xtreme 1 to xtreme 2 and xtreme 1 in low volumes is louder and deeper bass than xtreme 2 but when I put xtreme 2 in more volume it get louder idk if its damaged bcs I bought used and previous owner putted it in water some times can that damage speakers and make weaker sound? Or speaker is just playing like that? I need an answer bcs I don't know if it's damaged or so it should sound factory.

@@mygiguser I reseted it I removed cover from speaker and in like 30-50% volume on phone left side of speaker is louder than right side tweeter is louder and sub is more shaking i cant test now 100% bcs its late i tested to 50% and i noticed that. Jbl XTREME 1 cause more deep bass and clear mids I know it’s splashproof but it’s not terrible

1 sounds louder .. 2 has deeper bass .. When all the music is going on 1 sounds like it's more to detail with everything's going on.. I'd go with 1

The 1 is shit compared to the xtreme 2 on the latest update. This was back in 2018 and the last update was done in 2020

Guys - help. I waited this whole time to get Xtreme2 because i wanted the Connect+ so I could pair it with my Boombox (as Xtreme doesn’t have the Connect+). But a lot of you are saying Xtreme is better than Xtreme2. Does this mean I am stuck with the Boombox and no other Xtreme2 to Connect it to (since Xtreme does not have Connect+ capabilities?!) ?!??

I think im gonna buy xtreme 2 because i don like xtreme 1 port like (Charging port,2 usb ports) xtreme 2 have rubber to open these ports but xtreme 1 have lock and i like xtreme 2 radiators a little bit more i know the xtreme 1 is louder but i will choose xtreme 2

I don't know which one i like better. The Xtreme one for sure has a better price right now as long as it is still available, but then the Xtreme two has Connect+ If you plan on connecting several speakers, then you should go with Xtreme 2

Albaro Canaviri the price is the same, but the 1 is on sale I guess. I can’t imagine that they keep making both versions in the future, but I don’t know. I am not sure which one I would pick, if given the choice.

Xtreme 2 is actually louder than Xtreme but it depends on the song you're playing.

Battery is getting weak - need to replace the battery most likely!

Strange they sound very similar (almost the same) for some songs, but better bass on the Xtreme in others, and better mids/treble from the Xtreme 2 in others. Xtreme 1 for bass focus sometimes, Xtreme 2 for more treble/mid sometimes, otherwise both do sound the same many other times.

Xtreme 1 sound louder, i think so....but I have understood that it´s because of old firmware in xtreme 2..people says that carrying out updgrade xtreme 2 sound louder...better is see characteristics like frecuency band...etc.

WoW. Now I'm disappointed. My JBJX1 got stolen from a bench, and the X2 does not sound convincing. :| Maybe save some money and go for the old one, unless they seriously balance things out in the firmware.

When Xtreme 2 at side position...its just like Xtreme volume...but when Xtreme 2 in front position,umm😶the sound is little bit weak than the Xtreme...but when I heard the Xtreme its little bit richer bass than the 2..what is that?😒😏

The xtreme 2 has lower bass but less high freq, the original has nice treble but the bass sound boxy

unplugged the xtreme 1 sounds louder but when they are played through the power cord the xtreme 2 sounds better

I have both speakers yea the xtreme 1 is much louder and more mid bass...but the xtreme 2 is much balance and have more lower bass...the xtreme 1 distorts in max vol but the xtreme 2 doesn't

For those who think the Xtreme 1 is better, watch speaker toni's video. He has a much better mic and comparison. Its pretty obvious in his video that the Xtreme 2 is a huge improvement

Es cierto que del xtreme 1 el que disponen la batería no es tan buena que aveces dura 3 meses y algunas ocasiones no pasa del año y hay que cambiarla ya que eh estado leyendo en páginas confiables y todos dicen lo mismo acerca de las batería y que en el xtreme2 solucionaron ese problema acostó de potencia
