The JBL is a popular Bluetooth speaker brand and so is the T&G. Today's video we look at some things that might help you choose whether to buy the JBL GO 2 or go for the T&G TG 166 budget Bluetooth speaker.
Sometimes looking at price tags determines your choice but not all things that are expensive are that great or neither does cheap speakers. The video will just show some similarities between the two and also if saving money by going for the lower price is better.

I just received today my T&G-173 model bluetooth wireless speaker because of the positive reviews i have read about it...i LOVE JBL though because of the bass on it. Buying this model is worth the price, small gadget but terrible, give it a try pips. Watching from philippines..

Thanks, only idea I have is completely changing out the amplifier for the first upgrade. Only problem is figuring out how to keep the buttons and finding an amplifier that has controls for the volume and play/pause.

@@TaylorSoloaiJR Try to upgrade the speaker driver 1st because its easier than changing the amplifier..
I was gonna buy a jbl go 2 but my budget is only 1.2k pessos and it cost about 1.7k - 2k pessos so i just bought t&g 166

If you watch teardowns of the real JBL Go 2, you will see that they have unnecessary metal weights in them anyway, so the weight does not mean much.
The only thing about the t&g is that the battery life is short, but for a little speaker, it sounds amazing

The volume button doesn’t work for me. It only takes me to the next video or next track when I press it

You have to hold it down for it to change the volume otherwise it will just change the track.

Its a full on copy but the materials and components are different its basically a Chinese version of jbl because it seams to be that jbl is loved in china

T&G speakers not only struggles with sound but also battery life
The jbl sounds better I bought a T&G for my ATV but got the flip 5 knock off and I also have a jbl flip 5
i already buyed t&g 166... i already have jbl go 2 so i tried sound and bass test on them.. tg166 bass is not that strong... tg bass is weak... jbl speakers are better than t&g so dont waste your money buying t&g speakers with no bass

Only reason to buy one is if you want to upgrade it otherwise don't buy them at all.

Moral of the story is, don't buy any T&G speaker 😅
Of course JBL GO2 is the Best!... T&G is fake!
Go2 is way better 🤣
