What an interesting technique at 17:30. So you flooded all 4 connectors with a blob of solder and then used solder wick to suck the excess from the in-between channels. I am assuming (I'm a novice) that each of the lines is are not suppose to connect to each other?

is it possible to do this repair at home?

Great job on the repair. I had the same issue, but I don't have your mad solder skills so in the trash it went. No more JBL crap.

Yea like you said lol its much more complicated than I thought. And removing that glue will leave it vulnerable for falls unless you replace all that glue. I've dropped my flip 3 countless times, and only the charge port broke because the person who gave it to me already ruined it badly. Time to buy a flip 4 or flip 5 lol. It'd be easier if they sold those little boards with the aux/USB port so we just plug it in. I will be repairing it eventually.

Can you replace the original usb port with usb c?

Sorry I could not find that item so that's why I just replaced the port. It would be way easier.

it would be nice if you told us charing volts and amps with the new connector
