If you’re reading this, this speaker is sweet. I would describe it as medium loud. It’s not like bumping but t definitely blasts. It can overpower my neighbor taking on his phone outside. And my neighbor is loud. It works great! Battery last a long time. I don’t use the clip. I just set it down like a normal speaker. I don’t get it wet either!

@Jovan Smith about a year. I use it a few times every week. I use it with blue tooth as a dedicated laptop speaker sometimes. I haven’t had any issues with it. Very reliable. I paid $40 for it brand new and I don’t regret it.

@@borisbahizi you can NOT remove the clip. But you don’t have to use it. It’s helpful to pick up the speaker with out touching the grille actually.

I use it to bump the Spice Girls while tubing down the river. Works Great!

@@JT14k it is perfect! Great loud sound for such a small speaker. No issues whatsoever. I use it for my music videos. Good to have it in that close range for when I need to sync. I would suggest buying it for sure

2:19 oh God do I want that feature on a speaker of this size and price. This would make it a lot more viable to make an big mesh of speakers. Instead of having to deal with the relatively high price of the flip for more speakers.

I just bought one of these a few hours ago. I plan to use it mainly while kayaking. Go figure the only display/test speaker at walmart in the price point i was willing to pay was this one and was curently dead/not working....Knowing JBL quality i went for it, i have only used it for literally a few seconds to test volume and this little thing sounds GREAT!. The main features that drew me to this speaker were the clip(will be perfect on kayak), the size, the advertised long battery life, water resistant/waterproof, price point. UPDATE: Took the speaker kayaking Friday, worked great. Sound is plenty loud, actually vibrates my kayak like a subwoofer. IS definitely waterproof(i dipped it in the water). Battery lasted the whole 5 hours we kayaked and still has a lot of battery life left.

I found a similar speaker also called the "Clip 3" at my local convenience store is this the same speak just rebranded? Or a cheap knock off? Curious! The cheapest I've seen them was at Best buy for $29 on Black Friday . I bought 2 . Both of my clips fell apart . The pin on the latch became loose and lucky i noticed it when it fell and was able to put it back together .

You review a speaker that is AUD $79 and say its good for travelling, but then mention if you want a less portable speaker, that sounds better, then get the JBL Xtreme 2 (AUD $349) or Sony SRS-XB41 (AUD $199) - both of these are greater than 2x the price.... As a suggestion when comparing speakers, stick with the same/similar price point. Everyone should expect that a more expensive speaker is going to perform better than a cheaper one. How do other speakers near the same price point as the JBL Clip 3 sound? Otherwise, a good review.

With any modern battery you don't need to fully charge it anymore before first use. This is not only for this speaker but for all modern devises, it should also come precharged for about 30%. So you can use it right after you bought.

@@joeyr8740 Thanks for the answer. Yes you're right. I actually found this out a while ago by an answer from a JBL customer support agent on a forum who said that it's not necessary to charge it initially before first use.

I have one that i use for my Ebike it clips perfectly around the center of the hook. The sound is decent but could be louder other than that it's great and clear.

I bought it and is super good

I think that for the size it sounds great!

Get this or get a proper bike speaker the others are too big and if you want bigger get a boom box instead I knew someone who rides with a big boom box till he go a smaller speaker but still lol I just want something that’s loud enough for traffic to still hear music I don’t want a boom box on my bike or I could but would need somewhere to put it lol

50-60 feet is usually fine with mine connected to my LG phone.

the only improvement i'd make is a flat bottom so you could sit it upright

It connects to the phone by Bluetooth or a 3.5 audio wire. I haven't had time to charge it yet so I couldn't tell you about the light.

I got the JBL Go 2 for $29.99. Honestly I prefer the form of being square than being round and it sucks I couldn't test it but The JBL Go 2 is to replace my laptop speakers that sound like crap in high volume its a Dell XPS from 2 years ago so I had to upgrade the speakers to something else

Metro price $89.00. clip3 I like this, but when I found out I could buy for $30.- $60. less, I wasn't happy Good sound, portable, water proof, small, and clip. Now there a #4 but I don't think as good 🤺💐

House Of Marley’s No Bounds are $10 cheaper and way better in every way. $1 goes to planting a tree every time you purchase one and they are made of environmentally friendly materials and recycled materials. I sound tested them both at the same time and I will be sending back the JBL’s. No comparison sound wise the No Bounds by House Of Marley is head and shoulders above in every way.
