Would you prefer no video? I honestly think pitting any speaker vs any other speaker that doesn't have a binaural recording already is worth my time, especially if I'm in the market and want to see how speakers from different price brackets compete. Maybe someone found out from this video that the XB40, while clearly overpowered in this matchup, may be close enough to the Boombox to consider purchasing.

LOVE that you did the 30% test...thats a more accurate guage of how these speakers would be used for normal daily listening. The Sony sounded great, with more bass, which I have stated before, is what the xbass feature is meant for. The Sony lacked bass extension and overall dynamic punch in the 100% volume test, but the sound wasnt distorted or strained...I felt the JBL was sounding coloured and on the verge of distortion, with the highs sounding weird. The Sony sounded normal when maxed oit.

Sony with extrabass off is like a mouse but with the extrabass on is like a monster !!!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 as for me i have it 😅😂

Sony bass so good, maybe not loud like boombox but the bass so softly and deep i love sony product.

How long is the battery at full volume of each?

Hello my friends: I used to have the light of my Sony SRS XB40 permanent and stable, meaning no flashing, no DJ, no lighting effects, nothing but just a one color, stable light. But a couple of days ago I touched it something and now I can’t leave just the way I had it. I tried Sony Music Center and Fiestable, they offer “Raven”, “Cold chilling” and many other lighting options, but I don’t see any option to leave the light stable, one single color, no effects, no flashing, nothing else but just a simple stable light. У меня есть малышка Sony xb30, она классная, а ещё через три дня будет Jbl Boombox, думаю вообще ништяк. SONY XB30 брал за 5900, GBL Boombox за 16044.Думаю цены адекватные, цена+качество.

Я бы взял XB40 она играет также, а цена меньше да и размер компактный, не то что в бумбоксе.

I have both and the Sony is very awesome compared to the jbl this microphone is not doing the Sony any justice. The Sony is very loud and deep bass the jbl is just a little bit brighter and deeper not so night and day as this video makes it out to be
