Just bought a boom 2 and for the price I don't really think anything compares

Given the design, I though boombox had made the handle removable so you should choose to have either a strap or a handle, would’ve been an amazing design choice and would have allowed for a market of aftermarket handles

Anker sneakily dropped 2 new speakers, not even listed on the website. Rave Party 2 and the Rave Neo 2. Picked up 2 of the bigger ones at Walmart. They're not bad.

So, I settled for the soundcore motion boom plus and I am very satisfied....... don't let the price and the small size of the S.C.M.B+ fool you, that thing bumps and it bumps loud!!!! I love it. But what I really love about the speaker is the portability of it. I can carry it anywhere and it's never in the way....... it would be un- enjoyable to, physically, move through life with a JBL Boombox 3 after a while, considering its size. But you can carry the soundcore motion boom plus everywhere and never get tired of it. The speaker, also, has awesome vloume and battery life; you can't go wrong with that. Cheaper, Smaller, highly portable and loud as f***!!!❤

Sold on the Motion Boom. Mostly using this at the public pool or in my garage... Both places where the JBL would likely be ripped off. Less worried with the soundcore. Easily replaced and easily 80 to 90% as good as the JBL.

People are seriously underrating the BB3. It's mostly hate because of the price. The Motion Boom+ is a GREAT speaker at a beautiful price, but I would still take the BB3 vs 3 MB+ any day for a multitude of reasons.

A little add on. I used to love small undertakers. I used to rock the Bose Soundlink. Or was it Soundlink2? The little rectangle speaker. That thing had Hella sound. So bigger is not always better. Anyway. I bought the Soundcore after viewing your video. Your channel rocks for an audiophile like myself. Great content as always. Thank you and keep it up.

New stuff did you ever get your hands on ttribit stormbox blast? It's a mix between these two speakers but bass hits closer to boombox 3 and has better mids and Hugh's than boom plus and just as good or better app than soundcores which I thought would be about impossible. On Sat I went and bought the boombox 3 I returned it Sunday and that's after getting it for only 379 at local Walmart. To me it was all bass and I'd easily take 2 of the blasts and still pocket 106 dollars after taxes that's with tt he blasts bein on sale for 150 right now and the bb3 coming to 406 after taxes

I'm gonna go for the motion plus and save the boombox 3 for later also great video man

I have JBL Flip, JBL Partybox but I really don't understand why I am more happy with my Soundcore Motion Boom Plus... But each of my speakers are intended for a particular occassion. I like them all.. the JBL and Soundcore... it depends on the occasion

Heard both outdoors on a crowded social bike ride and they are indeed very comparable, the Motion Boom Plus also shakes the pavement. Realistically, if you want the tighter budget and better value of 70%+ of a Boombox 3 for half the price - Motion Boom Plus won't let you down. Both are epic. Boombox 3 for the best if you got the budget - sounds phenomenal outdoors and also with movies. I used one during last holidays - all the speakers inside felt like surround sound. I also have a Boombox 1 and I'd say both the Motion Boom Plus and Boombox 3 are an upgrade in quality for sure. Boombox 2 didn't quite hit the mark for me to upgrade but the 3 absolutely goes much further (more speakers inside it too). I've seen how the original portable speakers started with mostly being able to handle heavy bass songs and now the quality is expanding clarity into all genres outdoors - Boombox 3 actually allowing decent sounding rock and vocals in comparison to the Boombox 1. I feel like the portable sound took a long pause since the 80s and is finally gaining some serious quality, even surpassing with the various mechanical innovations of heavy metal rings in the dual sub tube designs, DSP overload prevention/protection, and more advanced emulation technology. Perhaps bringing back all the physical controls on the unit itself for a few designs would be awesome too - a traditional boombox set of controls.

The JBL has much better sound separation.

What would you think (COST WISE) about 1 JBL 3 vs 3 motion boom + (or 4 if caught on sale) (in party cast)?

Personally, I would take the the BB3

you can do lots of stuff with the anker, but once you turn that bass to max and volume, the distorsion and clipping of the drivers will be the best XDD thats why jbl doesnt have that

I have JBL bb2. The bass is massive. I will try the motion boom plus .

Absolutely! I have 2 motion boom plus and they are amazing. If you link them and put them in the corners of the room the bass is amplified like crazy. Also it is an absolute must to use the soundcore app and set up customs EQs. It really brings a new life to the speaker. There are lots of videos about setting that up if its not really your thing.

I still have my old soundcore motion + speaker and have had it for years now. Thought I lost it a while back but it turned out my landlord had borrowed it. Anyways it's not the loudest speaker but it's still pretty loud even outdoors and oddly enough it hasn't even dropped in price since I'd bought it. There's other soundcore speakers out there that are cheaper than the soundcore motion + I have and much louder with a longer battery life now. I really don't understand why the soundcore motion + speaker hasn't dropped in price yet because of that but it's still a pretty good speaker even when you're outdoors. I will admit though that when they say a battery lasts 15 hours, that's only if you're playing it at lower volume. One thing I have noticed about the motion + that I still like is they didn't get rid of that 3.5mm auxiliary jack the way some of the newer soundcore speakers are now doing and I like that. That 3.5mm jack is among one of the oldest technologies out there and it won't even drain the battery too much when using it. It's a mistake not to have that on a speaker if you ask me because with it incorporated into the speaker you can listen to music hard wired and not have to connect with bluetooth, which I love 'cause the speaker will actually last even longer that way. From a full charge my motion + will only last about 5 to 7 hours, playing on the highest volume even though the packaging claims 15 hours. I am keeping in mind that I have had my motion + for at least a few years or so now though. Might be why it's not lasting so long but I don't know for sure about that. Anyways just trying to help out and give feedback. It's probably a good idea to get a speaker that says it will last 24 hours or more if you wanna be playing on high volume and for longer durations. I just can't believe that the motion core + is still around 137 CAN dollars but the newer soundcore speakers with longer battery and more power are a bit cheaper or around the same pricewise. Not sure why that is. Sorry for the long rant haha. Much respect.

I was wondering the same but I assume it's because it's not technically in direct competition due to its form factor being a bit different from say the motion boom which is technically better, but it has a totally different look and isn't the motion + the only one that comes in various colorways? So it's just likely sales are still good because of the design choices.

I was really disappointed with Sony's new bt speakers I have the xb33 and was happy with it and then the new line came out and I was about to buy one and glad I didn't 😬

The very after watching this youtube clip, I bought this speaker Anker soundcore motion boom plus US$250 including delivery fare. The Estimated time to recieve it is about 3 week. (What the fuck). It is not releaesd in South Korea yet. Hopely it could satisfy my ears. Thank you very much.

I just ordered the motion boom plus a few days ago. I like having a variety. As far as portable speakers go, I currently only have JBL speakers. Two JBL charge fives, and the JBL Xtreme three. I have an older surroundsound system in my living room, and a Bose companion two series 3 system for my computer. But I need more variety in my portable speakers, so thank you for this review Bro. I’ve bumped Anker speakers in the past, like the sound core boost, the JBL charge four. I’ve passed them down to family, and they’re still kicking. The JBL boom boxes will have to wait until I have a job that can help pay 😂

@@MercMan115 Currently the best bang for your buck jbl speaker, as well as portabilitywise, since the xtreme 3 is not far ahead of the charge 5 soundwise, but way larger. Currently the charge 5 and the boombox 3 are the best portable speakers of jbl in my opinion

I love my soundcore. In my eyes it's still the winner. Best bang for the buck. Best app support and personalisation. It's the little engine that could. JBL wished they could produce a product as good as the soundcore. Well... they tried and make it over 400 dollars MORE expensive and still failed. Nah. Maybe next year. But by then there will be an even better Soundcore.

Soundcore sounds like shit compared to the JBL. It's cheaply made and doesn't even compare to the JBL in power or sound quality. JBL blows it out of the water!! We took the JBL 3 boombox to the lake and had the party jamming. Deep bass and crisp highs always sound better than no bass and screeching highs from that soundcore crap.

@The German You obviously have no clue. You don't know good sound german and JBL has been around alot longer than soundcore. JBL is quality, not that plastic viberating cheaply made crap like soundcore. JBL sound is clear with crisp mid and highs, has no distortion at full volume like soundcore and its made from solid materials. Again you obviously haven't been around high quality sound systems to even understand great clear distortion free sound. Remember JBL has award after award for some of the best sounding and accurate sounding speakers in the world, right next to Polk, Bose, Klipsch, Martin Login, KEF and Infinity speakers. They put alot of the same technology in their Boombox speakers as they do their Home speakers. There is nothing soundcore makes outside of their bluetooth speakers that even sound close. The soundcore is very light and has very cheap components built in it. The JBL uses high quality electronics and years of testing to make their speakers perform and sound the best. R&D prove this at JBL unlike soundcore. So please educate yourself before you post on sound quality and companies.

It's normal for the bommbox 3 to have those lows it has sub unlike the anker soundcore that only plays at 2.0 channel but still have that bangin bass plus their price differential is quite a gap i don't owned any jbl boombox but I have a friend that actually owned one, the gap of the performance is not that much.. But my diy boombox kicks the boombox3 😂

You could buy 2 soundcore motion boom + and have a stereo set-up and still have $$ in your pocket.

I don't understand why people go for the cheaper speaker. Go ahead and get less sound but in the end it's a weaker speaker. Sorry but personal experience my jbl devastates the sound core. There's honestly no comparison. Yeah I work hard for my money too. But I'm also not spending my money on more plastic and less speaker lol. And I love the heavy weight, since when is a problem lifting 14lbs lol.

Really, you don't understand? The BB3 is certainly a better speaker but does not "devastate" the Boom Plus. I own a BB3 and my brother owns a Motion Plus. They are very similar. Very clear with nice bass. I love the build of the BB3 but it is not three times better than the Soundcore. If you can't afford the overpriced JBL then the Soundcore is an excellent choice. BTW, the weight is a big deal if you're moving it around alot. Mine stays in the same spot so not an issue.

Of course the JBL has more deep bass. But two Ankers are louder and sound better on songs that don't have bass. You saving a 150 you do the math. You can almost buy 3 😁

All of this brands sounds great for it's own way! If you want punchy sound with slight deep Bass and go very loud outdoors(go with the Motion Boom+) if you want powerful Deep punchy bass with slightly warmer but still can go very loud with Refined Sound Quality or(JBL Crystal Clear HiFi sound) Go with the Boombox 3 if you have enough money to buy it:)
