Check the today and tomorrow videos - the JBL Authentics 500 - it is way better! But it doesn't have the active function of the BB3. Cheers
Also , the need some kind of metal screen on the bottom to protect that sub. If it accidentally gets set down on something it could poke right through that sub ?

Yes! But look all all subwoofers from the JBL soundbars - all are just like that. The idea is that you place it somewhere in the room, and you will leave there. Cheers

They should have designed a different cover where you could actually see the drivers they look kinda cool in my opinion

Sonos Play 5 gen 2 is better.... Had more expectations from JBL
Mic don't catch the bass. So not clear how is real sounds like.
it is better than bombbox 3 ???
