I only knew Jaye P. Morgan from the Gong Show but I was always in love with her!

Jaye P. Morgan is a totally awesome singer/performer who in the 70's-through 90's did not receive deserved acclaim, was lucky to experience her live act many times throughout this period and the great lady never less than thrilling, David Foster knew producing mid-seventies classic album "Jaye P. Morgan"!

I'm not sure what her age is here in these old clips but she looks absolutely awesome and sings with tremendous talent, verve and energy. Jaye P was one of the major reasons The Gong Show was such a huge hit in the mid and late 70's.

She is excellent! I have known of her for more than 40 years but never knew she had a fantastic voice and great performer.

I love her early recordings best. Songs like "Danger, Heartbreak Ahead". This gal had a heck of a voice but never seemed to get the attention as a singer she deserved. She was always very attractive. I like her look when she was a panelist in the Gong Show.

Knew JP Morgan had talent somehow by only seeing her as a panelist on game shows...but here is proof why this gal has talent and a glow about her.

She was the top female vocalist in the U.S. in 1955. Her first fifteen years in the business were truly spectacular. The industry changed and she had to tour small clubs constantly to stay in the game, but that keep her out of the national spotlight, until she started doing game shows and such.

My dad went on tour back in the 70s with Jaye and she was kicked outta the bar in her own show for drunk swearing in Montana lol.

Sounds like she partied hard but she's still living it up at age 92, so it worked for her.

@@hootinouts Maybe the craziness of the era when even pornographic films like Deep Throat were blockbuster movies.

Jaye P was absolutely brilliant and hysterical on The Gong Show. she was the perfect party-girl for that crazy-zany 70's show of shows.(!) I think maybe Chuck Barris was a bit in love with her almost from day one.

She was born December, 1931 so she's almost 50 here.

They tried so hard to make Atlantic City like Las Vegas, didn't work.

Talent Plus! Anyone got her terrific cover of "I Walked the Line"??

She's lucky there wasn't a big old Gong up there some where near the stage!

Showbiz is a cruel mistress.

The band is so popping and they are completely cut out of the picture. I understand she is the star for the night but that stage is fifty fifty there music is tight.

I think the guy behind the bar was Corbet Monica.

Great body Especially for her she but not exactly entertainment.

She wa between two eras. She put out some good funk/fusion/pop albums in the seventies, but was a little too old for that scene by then.
