Just watching her, she seems like someone that would be fun and sweet and sincere. It makes me want to dance on the spot. Both this and the boiler room sets are amazing. Love it. Thank you for sharing and for her to play that music. A delight!! The world needs more of this.

You ever tried DJing? (straight question, not a hostile assault) A DJ who is full on mixing doesn't have time to be dancing... some do, she does, but someone who is mixing every best bit of every best track and then getting out again, doesn't have time to be 'joining' the party... only to MAKE the party... does that make sense? I hope so, cuz I ain't trying to upset anyone. :)

What I find most impressive about DJs like this is their ability to dig. I have a small collection of records myself but it's not the easiest thing to look through bins and crates to find these type of records, you have to have a pretty decent knowledge of what's actually worth buying or not. I've bought so many crap record just taking the chance looking for sounds like what she's playing

For me is totally an insult and diss for those Djs who bust their ass in the lab in order to get the mixes right! @@coincidencerecords sure man se gets the jobs only because she's super hot, dances a lot while playing and people love to see hot ladies mixing and getting down but the truth is that she can't actually mix lol. Any music aficionado can make a great selection nowadays with the internet and lists of classics and different genres, but not anyone can mix them with a nice flow and without interrupting the vibe so people won't stop dancing.

+ZERON Gotta laugh at these "young n' hip" white millenials trying to dance to a Staple Singers slow burner classic. No ability for rhythm or groove, that's why they're anxiously waiting for that next 4/4 kick drum song to kick in. They really could not look more awkward... Hilarious. I remember some of the nights in the late 70's in New York. A completely different scene... Times have truly changed.

Sorry but you are really deaf if you think that's proper mixing. But it is a great selection and as a set it's absolutely banging, I would be dancing all out to this. But technically, it's very very poor. But hey, a lot of the dekmantel-sets are like that, hipsters pretending to be vinyl djs but who clearly can't handle the turntables for shit. :p

The set is wonderful, anyone complaining about the mixing doesn't understand, these sets are all about the selection, having seen her play, the energy and passion she brings is what makes it magic, her set b2b with Brian Not Brian at Farr Fest was perfection, due entirely to the passion, energy and selections

Music is on point but it's like going to a resturant and ordering a meal, it arrives full of fantastic individual ingredients but it's just not cooked properly.....it would be sent back the chef wouldn't last the evening if they kept on getting it wrong no matter how passionate they were about their cooking and how much energy they put into it.....yet a dj gets away with it

Great example of an awesome selection and keeping flow without the use of bars n phrases. Watch eclair fifi for an example of something else. One of the best sets this year on KZread for me. The volvox umfang selection is brilliant too in another spectrum of tunes, it's banging.

Hmmm, Larry Levan is deemed the greatest DJ of all times by many, have you listened to his "mixing"? Anyway those stressing on how well two 4:4 beats are put together really don't understand the history and art of the deejay. There is plenty seamlessly mixed 3hrs long sets around and tbh they are painfully boring and tend to show a single genre education the majority (not all) of the time. Jayda is mixing some records that have "live" drummers. For those of you that don't get it, mixing live drummers who aren't perfectly on time with a programmed 4:4 beat or another live drummer is not an easy task. She plays a mean selection and is having a great time herself, the people around her are having a great time...forgive me but...isn't this what its all suppose to be about? a party? All these bitchy comments are probably the same people clammering to get guestlists, back-stage passes, entry to dj booth and standing on-front of the camera where/when ever possible. More power to Jayda.

Larry Levan is an innovator and an Icon. He's also the most primitive form of the term "DJ" He isn't known for his creative prowess in mixing. That can be attributed to a few things. Tracks that are not quantized. Hard to keep tracks synced that aren't in time. And it predates some of the creative innovations that came subsequent his success. Larry Levan is an icon, but I wouldn't necessarily call him a creative genius when it comes to the technical and creative aspects of mixing. This set is very good in terms of track selection, but the mixing is subpar at best. Some people have issue with that and I can see why. Some people like to get the fuck down without their brains having to transition tracks every 3-5 minutes. Some people like an hour of seamless music. They like that journey to be uninterrupted. I've definitely gotten down to some sets that were disappointing due to poor mixing. Totally depends on the vibe. Personally, I can see value in both, but there is such a wealth of knowledge and skill out there, DJs who can dig and creatively mix tracks in an artistic way as to enhance their sets musically. DJs like Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler, Roy Davis Jr, Louis Vega, Joey Negro, Spen, Karizma, Paul Johnson, Larry Heard, Moodymann, Jeff Mills, Mark Farina, Eli Escobar, Carl Cox, DJ Heather, and the list goes on and on and on, so when someone has an issue with the mixing I can empathize with that. Especially as a DJ that's been honing my skills for almost 30 years.
