The armchair detectives can’t even get the Rolex part right(apparently an AP, wasn’t it?). No one goes out with 12k worth of ecstasy to sell on the streets. That’s 5000++ worth of pills. They keep maybe 10-100 pills at a time, that’s hardly a few hundred bucks. You’re far more likely to get in trouble by stealing an expensive watch at 5AM.. no one’s walking around with that much drugs.

Rolex is NOT slang for cocaine, Jesus Christ you people think you’re professional just because you’ve done drugs one time. Rolex was a logo previously used when making E pills, it hasn’t really been used in 15 years because of bad reputation. Thank you for the clarification. It’s disgusting seeing all these people lump ALL drug users together as bad, evil, thieving pieces of shtick. I’ve used more drugs than I’d like to admit, but never did I go stealing from anyone. Drugs didn’t make me a bad person. The people who do bad were people that already were evil! Drugs don’t make people any more evil than they already are. It’s like saying people are bad because the colour of their skin is different than yours.

Why were people speculating so much? Because the media was telling a BS story about an innocent teen on his first vacation who got lost on an 11 hour walk to his hotel and acting like it was perfectly reasonable.

I'm no armchair miss marple but I would appreciate more from Debbie Duncan on tv live as opposed to third party written statements. I don't think that's a big ask.

I dont get the rational behind the doorstep pic. Why not send a pic of yourself? if you want to make something LOOK like Jay, you'd have to cover yourself with a blanket otherwise your legs would give it away. It's confirmed its his footwear but, you can't even see if they even fit the feet they are on because of the angle. It feels like a setup pic to prove he was there and ok. I feel they shouldn't just presume its Jay based on a picture that doesn't even show his face. As a parent I'd need more proof than that, that my child was OK at the time 😮

Lots of Brits come to Tenerife and end up missing. Jay was in the area of Veronica's, which is notoriously known for nightly issues, all involving drunk tourists. Jaycwas at a rave party. He just had to take it a notch higher and get himself involved with shady people. I think the embarrassment will be with the Brits that think they know it all, but they haven't found Jay either. The Spaniards deserve a HUGE THANK YOU, for providing all their resources to a young man that may very well be alive and hiding. If Jay was in the searched areas, he would have been found.

The terrain is dangerous and to expect inexperience people to go searching in that area is ridiculous. If he is missing on the mountains there is a GFM account available to pay for experienced searchers to do the searching. We are told that the money is being used for people to come out and help with the search. Well let's see these people out searching.

I never knew there was so many perfect people with perfect children out there. Let's hope it stays that way for you all.

That is criminal... But saying what you think is just opinions.... If the family and friends were honest from the outset then police would be in a better position. His friends especially just seem to jump on what's been reported and say yes that happened... Like the Rolex theory, it got reported then a friend comes out and says that actually happened. A journalist retraces his steps and points out the temptation of making a short cut across terrain to meet the road further up the hill instead of following the road, then guess what a friend says he called him and told him he's gonna make a short cut instead of following the snaking road.... Come on.....!

Mainly the money donated mostly comes from those “armchair detectives”. The family created a Facebook page with over 400000 followers most of them “armchair” detectives. On that group it was allowed to post all kind of theories. Go fund me was highly shared in that group, once they reached the target they limited the post and they criticised all the theories posted… Sorry but you can not have the best of both worlds, they wouldn’t have got that amount of money if it wasn’t for the Facebook group. Once they had the money the page was not longer of interest to them.

Going by the timelines and events here's my theory. He left with the 2 men in there car at around 06.00, he posted a snapchat around that time on the TF-1 motorway boasting about stealing Rolex/drugs {Rolex is also street name for cocaine}. From Papagayo nightclub to Masca is around 45min drive. Jay and the 2 men arrive in Masca around 07.00 and he stays in the bnb for around 1hr. I believe that during this time whoever Jay stole from were now pressuring his friends about where their stuff and Jay is, at this point i believe his friends informed him about the situation and these people were coming for him. Jay spoke to the owner of bnb around 0800 about bus times and he looked agitated, He started walking in the opposite direction to the Barranco Juan Lopez trail which is 2km away uphill, The walk took him around 40mins and his last call was on the trail at 08.49. I believe whoever was looking for him caught up with him some point on that road.

So he can't be somewhere being held?
