The notion that he's been entrusted with 30k worth of drugs on his FIRST holiday abroad and been murdered or captured over it is fking mental. It takes NINE days for a body to fully decompose to bones in that sun and humidity. People have fallen down old wells only to be discovered decades later.

I initially heard the rumour that he (Jay) had stolen an expensive watch, while still off his head when after the rave. But NOW people are referring to a brand of ecstasy, it's just as realistic & believable as the Rolex watch rumour. So trying to put "2&2 together", Jay Slater, flew out to Tenerife, after communicating & being sold a complete & utter fantasy (i.e. make loads of money & "live the life" by selling drugs & going to raves) by Lucy & over "snap chat". Jay Slater actually agreed to it, flew to Tenerife and on his first night, went to a rave, got off his head, has got involved with other people & after that rave, either individually or as part of a group (while off his head) robbed someone else/others of drugs/pills. That's the initial rumour someone told me they'd read on line, but she said he robbed someone of an expensive watch (i.e. Rolex watch), understandably not realising the expensive watch was a reference to drugs/pills, i.e. Rolex watches. So realistically, the initial online "rumour(s)" & so far do seem to hold a lot of water, quite well.......

Without saying too much, from the word "GO", I never understood why others found the initial on-line "rumours" regarding Jay Slater's disappearance so hard to believe & accept. As time goes by, those initial online rumours seem to hold a lot of water & well. From there, it so far & makes sense why and as if yet, no body has been found......

It may seem daft but it isn't unknown for some to do this kind of thing when heavily intoxicated. I've known a few instances first hand.

They must have thought it was a convincing story when they all made it up

It is a shame that the initial search wasn't successful. Missring persons can be very difficult to find and there has to be a limit. Ongoing investigation and the hope of Jay's accidental discovery before too long must be the best chance now. And maybe there are more questions that family and friends need to answer that might help?

Here come the keyboard investigators… Tenerife has tough terrain, particularly in that area. It’s completely plausible that he got lost, particularly after a heavy night and no phone. I feel for his family despite the negativity around the story.

Sometimes "rumors" or "conspiracies", can turn out to be tips or facts. Who are the two strangers that Jay trusted and went off with them? Who is Lucy and what are the rumors about her involvement with drug dealers. Who did Jay travel with from UK to Tenerife, and where did Lucy come from?

This is so strange - I haven't seen a single dog to help with the search! Where are the backup troops? This would be a such a suitable occasion for the military etc to use their skills.

Too much drink/drugs, not enough sleep. Tried getting back in a state he shouldn't have and unfortunately had an accident in the middle of nowhere.
