Totally, Jay has five sons. Mitch,manny, and Joe are actual sons. Phil and cam are Jay son in laws

When Jay said "Both my sons are leaving" I honestly started crying! I wasn't ready but to those who don't understand how significant that is for Jay to say, it took him a while to come to terms with Mitch and Cam's relationship.

"You guys remembered my birthday" was just an example what made this show so great. After a heartfelt moment comes a funny one. Not over the top funny, but enough to also being able to smile while having tears in your eyes.

And that line could impact anyone on any level with a parental figure considers a person not that their child like one of their own children. Next, you know what this show is about. If you have such a problem with it, why are you watching it? Lastly, if you're going to have this big a problem with this sin, I truly hope you're not watching any show that deals in heavy drinking, drug use, murder, infidelity, or lying. Go with God. Seen these kids grow older in front of our eyes and now as they are leaving it feels like our children are leaving home. Hits right in the feels especially the scene of Phil and Claire in the empty room.

It's really sad and all but damn, you didn't have to attack us with all these videos right after...

I actually cried watching this ending even though it wasn’t that sad. When Haley said who knows when the next time we’ll all be together again. That hit me right in the feels

Maturing is realising jay is the best character

Pilot: Jay obnoxiously opens doors to avoid walking in on Mitch and Cam kissing Finale: "Both my sons are leaving" Thats why Jay's amazing. He started out wishing Cam wasn't with Mitchell. And now he considers Cam a son.

“Both my son are leaving “ that hit home😭😭😢😭

I just realised I can’t remember what their final sit down in-front of the camera was ... Claire and Phil on the couch in their living room explaining the events of what happened that week... 🥺 Mitch and Cam both on their chairs and Cam’s swinging arms whenever they situation calls for dramatic flair.... 🥺 and Gloria and Jay always slightly bickering but with so much love as she explains a totally ‘relatable’ Columbian version of events that leaves Jay wondering who he married ... 🥺 I hate that I can’t remember when they had their last sit down with the camera 😭😭😭😭 This will be us all day (possibly all week) 🥺😭

@user-jc7mw6dc4c I don't think Modern Family 2 would be a big hit. Modern Family worked because it was balanced. I just wouldn't buying Haley and Dylan becoming like Phil and Claire. Phil and Claire becoming Jay and Gloria I can see but I feel like you would have to introduce new characters and if they bomb the whole show will bomb and then you always have like a bad memory regarding the show just like they did with the 9th season of Scrubs although Bill Lawrence never wanted it to be called the 9th season.

i finished watching all the episodes in Netflix. Sadly, it doesn't have 11th season yet. I love this family.

Okay, maybe this is just me, but I watched everything Modern family, I breathe this show and nothing here made me cry, and reading the comments saying it made people cry made me feel like a stone! Did it really make everyone cry but me? Is there an issue with me? I was hella sad about this, so much so that I barely spoke the day I watched it, but I didn't cry.

I love this show but its hard to watch. Ed O'Neill looks so much like my dad.(my dad passed in 2014😪)
