Great interview of and excellent insights from Jay Buchanan. I love Rival Sons. Was lucky to see them open for Deep Purple in 2015 .....a fantastic double bill that night.

It's like that Jay speaks his mind and isn't afraid to break the ice. I appreciate that in a public figure, because they are being themselves.

Jay is undoubtedly a genius type of personality. No, not because he creates musical compositions, let's call it - that are too deep for most of the audience and for the genre in which he works. Of course, he is a brilliant songwriter, unique and, of course, underrated - for some reason this is often connected. But he is an original thinker; he evaluates any, even not the most significant, thing in a very original way. And his sense of humor, although it has slightly decreased with the increase in the number of his children, is also peculiar. I listened to a short stream, and the world seemed not hopeless again
Barry, I’ll put it this way- I’d rather have a beer and a chat with you than Jay lol. Great singer and great band though. Keep up the good work mate 👍
