This video is a really great example of Enhypen’s individual maturity, media training, and sensitivity. Whatever the question was (and I imagine we’ll never learn what it was), Sunghoon immediately decided it was no good. This could be because the question was inappropriate, embarrassing, belittling… it could be anything. It's fortunate he was able to view the question privately and decide in that moment whether to engage with it, rather than having it read out loud by a moderator and being put on the spot and forced to answer it. Ni-Ki is still a kid. No matter how tall he is, and how much he’s grown as a public figure in the past few years, he’s still a teenage boy with more curiosity than common sense. Lol. 😂 Boys his age like to push buttons, want attention from the big brothers, and tease a little bit too much. I’m not surprised at all that he wanted to see what the paper said. His curiosity was probably too much to bear! Lastly, I think Sunghoon’s decision to give Jay the paper was really, really smart. Maybe the question had to do with Jay, maybe it didn’t… regardless of that, Jay is 100% the person who I would identify as having the most adult level maturity of the group. He’s definitely the one who I could see as picking up social cues, and immediately identifying if something is inappropriate. Even though Jungwon is the leader, Jay still leads in a way that has to do more with age and maturity, rather than time and experience. Edit: Hi friends. It's safe to say I didn't expect these comments to blow up. I've loved reading everyone's responses, and I appreciate your insight. A few people have pointed out, however, that the VERY surface-level analysis above could be construed as bashing on Ni-Ki. This isn't the case, or the intention. It's no secret that Ni-Ki has had to overcome a LOT to get to where he is, pursuing a once-in-a-million dream in a foreign country at an age most children aren't even allowed to be left unsupervised. He had to struggle through SO MUCH, and he's persevered through unimaginable hurdles. I'd never want to diminish these SOLID facts. When Ni-Ki is with his members, however, he's the maknae - and a startlingly young one at that. It honestly unnerves me sometimes when I think about just HOW young he is... but that's a conversation for another time. My point (aka, my Ted Talk Pt2), is that when Ni-Ki is with his members he doesn't have to be a perfect, mature and always-camera-ready idol. He can be a kid. And that's what he's like a lot of the time in these kinds of videos. If you want to defend Ni-Ki against antis, please be my guest. I support you. Why do i feel the quetions is crossing the line and unappropriate. Sunghoon and Jay look different after this part. They also didnt let minor member seeing it. I think the reason Sunghoon give it to Jay, bcz like we know Jay is the most mature in enhypen.

i agree with you but i genuinely wonder, IF it is an unappropriate question, then why would the staffs or anyone responsible for the questions would add the question(?) inside the box thingy? of course they are not the members so they wouldn't know if something is out of boundaries etc but idk..genuinely wondering :(

But i love the fact sunghoon passed it to Jay. That shows the trust and understanding between them and there is silent communication. When problem ensues, it looks like sunghoon rely on Jay the most and Jay sunghoon the most. There is some real relationship of trust n reliance between them. It shows.

Yeah. Jungwon is the leader, but he's still a kid. Jay and Sunghoon understand that even while respecting Jungwon. That's why they didn't let him read it.

many say maybe the question is about jay.. but i think it's about ni-ki..sunghoon looked at ni-ki right after reading it, and didn't let Ni-ki read the question. sunghoon gave it to jay because jay is the most mature among them and the farthest from ni-ki's reach.. and before they shot this video, there was some bad news that led to ni-ki.. but no one knows for sure.. clearly they are very good at taking care of each other ❤❤

The way sunghoon bite his lips and glare around after reading the question. Sunghoon is the type of obversion, he can read the situation and know how to act. I've seen him multiple times like this. There's one time when one member joking around and say something that kinda inappropriate, he naturally shifted the conversation to another topic. Or when they're on an interview and there's one member who don't speak much, he always realized that and cheer them in his own way

The question was related to Jay and that’s why Sunghoon gave it to him. Maybe so he could decide if he is willing to answer to it or not

If you watch the whole vid, Jay didn’t let jungwon read it at first though. Heeseung read it from the back and Jungwon tried to sneak at the side and after reading it none of them said a thing and directed their attention back to Sunghoon.

It's just assumptions so we shouldn't believe in that, it may lead to misconceptions. Also, whatever it was it's better for it to remain hidden. I noticed that every time that Sunghoon needs someone to read or validate something he'd always go to Jay, he trusts him so much with decision making and he knows that jay will always get him right away. Sunghoon is also aware that Jay is capable of assessing the situation without anything further to happen

Can't agree more. They both trust each other so much. They automatically seek for each other when there is some problem or confusion. They understand each other the best when saying something. That's why they tease eachother so much too

What amazes me the most is Jay not allowing Jungwon to read it and Wonie just accepting it. He's the leader but he might have perceived it was bad when Jay didn't let him take the sheet and let it pass. Idk what the question was and i don't really wanna know if my boys gonna react like this. You can see how mad and uncomfortable they felt about it. Respect to my jayhoon for protecting the kids like this...and to the staff, man y'all should do better than this.

I'm not here to speculate on what was written on that paper but to say that I noticed since iland how much Sunghoon trusts and relies on Jay. From his mother's letter until this video.

I think the question was about sunoo and Niki that's why sunghoon looked at them after reading , also I really like the way that Niki sincerely gave it to sunghoon after he said no ......

They tease each other a lot and bicker a lot cuz that's one of their most common love language but they're also protective of each other. There were so many examples since predebut. I'm glad they've each other no matter what people say.

Sunghoon giving the question to Jay was the most mature thing ever and stopping Ni-ki from reading it was the bravest. Maybe the question had something that was inappropriate or anything that would make the situation awkward so Sunghoon tried to avoid it and he was successful , still a mystery that probably only JAY & SUNGHOON knows or maybe other members knows too but we don't and I'm not even curious about it. Sunghoon giving the question to Jay maybe because he was sitting far from Ni-ki and that would stop Ni-ki reading the question and since Jay was sitting beside JUNGWON & HEESEUNG , Sunghoon know they are mature enough they will understand while Ni-ki is still a kid and has a lot of curiosity. Or that maybe because that question had something to do with Ni-ki that Sunghoon didn't wanted him to know. Well whatever that was Sunghoon is mature enough to handle things himself and he did quite well and I really appreciate it.

Sunghoon didn't let Niki to read and Jay didn't let Jungwon to read even though Jungwon is their leader showing that the question might me inappropriate for both Jungwon and Niki. And the way Sunghoon give it to Jay not Jake not Heeseung (even though they are nearer) showing that Sunghoon is actually relying on Jay's maturity despite all the bickering they had on cam.
