Melanie, you are the first non-Indian reviewer who truly understands not just Indian cinema but also Indian emotional connection with Jawan. Every other reviewer (like Jaby and Rick from OSR) completely missed the point of Jawan and why the Indian audience is connecting with Jawan. In India we don’t just want thespian performances like Nawazuddin and Manoj Bajpayee (we love them too) but we also want this kind of emotional and stylized cinema that we like to call masala or “massy.” Indian movies are made primarily for Indian audiences and our preferences. Hopefully, other non-Indian reviewers will learn to appreciate Indian cinema like you do. Also, loved Kathy and her mom appreciating and embracing the craziness that is Jawan.

The govt hospital backstory of the sanya Malhotra's character happened in real life in 2017. The doctor was imprisoned but later proved innocent by the courts in 2020. Dunki will be different from the rest of the films he did this year. It's being directed by Rajkumar Hirani (director of films like 3 idiots, PK, Munnabhai Mbbs). Dunki will apparently touch on immigrants who enter illegally to US/Canada

The Nun 2 is showing in 3,728 theaters whereas Jawan is in 824 theaters in the US. Crazy to be at #2. Coming to think of it, this movie could have been named Jailer as well.

@10:37 this was my first full SRK movie; i too saw brahmastra. it felt like the world's longest audition reel. i was told that this style of masala is the most typical. so perhaps i just need more exposures because i could not get past the SRK dude and how much he was just feeling himself; a bit too distracting. on a better note, that SRK dude is hot as hell.

I don't care about the collection honestly but I love a movie that is entertaining plus I can take something from it. And something that can teach you in whatever small way. Jawan is now also the most talked about movie in India. Especially by politicians, farmers. Common man is getting inspired by it. Even if the collection last for a limited time, that speech of SRK will stay with people forever I'm sure. Loved it.I saw it in London and you guys are so right about the buzz. During interval everyone was talking about it, when the film ended people literally were talking about it for 10 minites straight. I saw a group of few women who video call their partners and told them you guys have to see it and we'll come again. And I have seen so many bw films in London. SRK films here always create a festival but Jawan looked like a different breed.

This movie is anti corruption not against any political party 😊

What an massive movie, i have seen more than 3times still waiting for more 3 times to watch . Srk is once a king always a king 👑 of Bollywood, super direction done by atlee Kumar I love atlee's work always. , but that Vikram rathore character was madness, for badshaa , first he was king of romance, now he is going another level, king of action. I love always srk , once his fan always his fan 💗 love sharukh bhaiya . In this movie your speech is mind blowing. In last , and nayanthara I love her she looking gerouges what a beautiful 😻 nayanthara look fabulous 😍. What work done Vijay sethupati sir , always look badess , and perfect villan for no other like ,and other actors also very nice work ,look specially that 6 girls , I like her work also sanya, pirya mani. And other girls , Deepika mam always look perfect for sharukh khan. Perfect Jodi of 20s , , over all action, story , casting, very, perfect awesome . I had 2 distinct feelings about Jawan as I left the movie hall. One the community watching experience (loved it and it was on par with a Rajini, Vijay movie experience). The other feeling was about the actual movie which felt like a compilation of hyper stylized montages rather than a coherent movie. Overall the exciting movie watching experience trumped everything else. I am sure I'll not like it as much while watching it later on OTT.

Average movie... If you watch past Atlee movies and other south movies then watch jawaan it doesn't feel that good. And also Atlee means copy master from other movies. Routine story. Atlees double role common. Didnt like such build ups for Srk. It's only going well in the North because my people in north haven't watched such. Also Jawan copied scene from Apocalypto.
